Ichcha Shakti, our power to will-II

May 17, 2014

Part A

My dear everybody, the last post on one’s resolute will power titled ‘Ichcha Shakti, our power to will-I was extemporaneous in nature and straight from the heart and so is this. Before I leave for my next important travel programme, I am convinced that I must pick up from the last post and continue further because it is essential. Some responses came from Facebook also where I had only posted Part A from it. Part B could be little foggy for many people and so it was left out. I am replying to one question from Facebook on Spiritinlife blog because the public would not like to dive so deep into the details of Spirit matters. Moreover, I wished to share this information with my other blog readers also so that it satisfies their queries in addition to the person who has asked me. The question was this-

Didi, even Rama & Krishna are called Avatars. Why is Babaji called Mahavatar by Sri Yoganandaji?

To start answering to this question, I am first quoting from an older post with just one specific paragraph-

Babaji again went back to tell me more about himself. He divulged about his tapas and intense spiritual practices done. “After the initiation of the highest level of Kriya, my body became unconquerable and invincible. My senses became extremely acute and I could no longer bear to hear the sound of clatter and any noisy words. Therefore, I decided to meditate in a place where there would be no disturbing sounds and I headed for the Himalayas on foot. I found a cave in a place where there was no human soul and I meditated in freezing climate without any cloth over me to test my abilities. Once assured, I offered all my accomplishments to God and asked him to now let me exit the world at the age of just fourteen! God’s answer was, “Give me this body; I shall use it for a purpose that no one has done before. I shall accomplish with it that no one has accomplished before.” I only bowed in front of that Divine Light and uttered, “It is yours.”

From-The state of Super Consciousness-II

Now the question that why has Shri Babaji given the title Mahavatar by Paramhansa Yoganandji?

The answer is that Shri Mahavatar Babaji attained phenomenal spiritual success at a very tender age of just fourteen and he gave all his tapas to God and has been serving God without any break for eighteen plus centuries. He has made himself immortal. He will not relinquish his mortal body unless this era of Kaliyug slides in Satya Yuga. His tapasya is unparalleled, it is unprecedented and hence he earned the exclusive title Mahavatar. There may be a few more comparisons but this is the main reason for his being conferred a unique title.

 Part B

About a week back, in my day when I contemplated and meditated, I received some important information from Shri Mahavatar Babaji via mental telepathy. Although I am quite reluctant in talking about myself so often, I have nonetheless no choice in being discreet and quiet any longer. I am asked by them to share many of my special experiences and milestones with everybody on the blog and I am only obeying them. I think with conviction that Babaji must be having some reason to be doing this so often. I always comply because since I believe that disobedience towards my enlightened Guru is being disrespectful.

In my morning spontaneous meditation one day lately,  I was sliding deeper and further in the depths of calmness. The sound of Om came, resonated and it disappeared. I had greeted it with a very humble heart. And then, there was no sound whatsoever inside my mind. I sat in this quiet state for quite a many peaceful moments. In this quietening process, the mind became empty of all mental sounds coming even from others that echo in the background; they are always floating and embedded around us in our aura as others are thinking of us and speaking in their minds. So many people try to reach us all the time in the physical or mental worlds. Such mental waves affect our ultimate peace. But now, all possible subtle and very subtle mental sounds and thought waves from all over were missing and a state of nothing arrived. Nothing.

After a long time I was at last able to catch hold of this phenomenal thoughtless phenomenon. I was watching it without any involvement like a non-participant. In Hindi or Sanskrit or in a yogic language it is referred to as ‘nirav shanti’, soundless peace of mind. I was in a state of existence where the sense of body and mind first loosened and eventually broke off. In this very moment of thoughtlessness, I was in a state of absolute non- entity, a state of pure being. I was in a state of absolute rest and quietude called ‘poorna vishram’, complete rest. It is a state of absolute purity and innocence. I was in a state of uncovered Truth, untainted Reality called Brahma…..

Later, after a few seconds a new vision emerged from within. The Earth was in front of me with plenty of green foliage and lot of peace.  It was completely green from top and all over. There was only one inhabitant on the Earth and that was me. I was relishing the serenading peace and very cool air coming from thick foliage.I had no urge of having some people around me because it was very peaceful in that state of being. I rejoiced being alone. After that I envisioned that I was sitting on top of the globe smiling in serenity to myself and meditating on Earth top in the Lotus posture! My feet were receiving tremendous energies and they were rejuvenating me. I was on top of the world!! My body had no weight and I was feeling totally weightless. Living peacefully in our Atma is a very beautiful state of our being and living there I was experiencing it subtly!

And the symbolic vision of me in a yogic state of peaceful repose on Mother Earth must now wait to materialize in due course of time. So many times symbolic visions and futuristic events that take place in the phenomenal world are first seen in our deep states of mental rest and meditation. This was same.

As the Earth moved out of my vision, I saw Shri Mahavatar Babaji coming near me with his both hands moving fast in the air in a hurry and his face containing a sense of great importance and significance for something. I am yet to fully understand the meaning of his expressions. He came up to to me and told this,” You have a great desire in you to know Atmà. You have known it only because you possessed a great will, you have tremendous Ichcha Shakti. It is a very difficult thing to do in one life.  I want you to write about this experience in your forthcoming article on the blog.”

So with this narration, I wind up this post and wish to first attempt re-living these extra ordinary, very sublime and peaceful experiences. In moments of deep peace and quietude, Atma is known. There will be many noises and disturbances from many sides, they come from the Earth level but I must live some times at least on the level of Sky, in the consciousness of Atma……

From ‘The state of Super Consciousness-I’

Mahavatar Babaji is one such outstanding holy incarnation. He is meditating and living with a group of a few trusted and very advanced yogis in the secret caves of Himalayas living for just one purpose- to help mankind and the human race as a whole to evolve in Spirit. And also to make this planet more peaceful, worth living and to avoid any conflict between two or more nations. He is a living example for the world to see the full potential and possibilities of human development in Spirit.  He is a Maha Purush because he has crossed all the limitations of maya or prakriti and has achieved immortality. He answers to so many people’s doubts, questions and curiosities without their even being aware of it. He helps innumerable aspirants on their journey of self-realization and shows them their future path in direct and oblique ways.

How do the yogis achieve the highest levels of Consciousness?

Each man possesses a mental body of his own. It is the energy of the kind of thoughts that dwell and are nurtured in the mind. His intellectual property, his process of thinking and the kind of thoughts nurtured are all included in the mental body. Each thought that we send out, each thought that we receive and the cumulative power of it all makes a man what he is and it this thought power to which we are attracted in some people or repelled depending on the quality of thought.

Every thought has its own vibration and wave length. The nearer it is to Super Consciousness, the higher its power.  The lower the thought, the denser the wave. The higher the consciousness of the person, the subtler the thought. Our thought waves float in the ether like sound waves. One’s mind is able to catch the wavelength of a similar thought. We should be careful in mixing with people, spiritual aspirants should try to mingle with strong, healthy and positive minds.

There are three types of power that a man possesses in his consciousness.

Ichcha Shakti or the power of one’s desire

Sankalp Shakti or thought power and

Kriya Shakti the power to do actions.

Ichcha Shakti. It is the power bestowed upon humans to initiate an act. Without this power, the force to initiate and start an action does not come into play. The stronger the desire or ichcha shakti, the more possibility for the actions to manifest.

Part B

Yesterday evening my house was flooded with moonlight in the evening. It was a day prior to Buddha Poornima which falls today on 14th May. I wanted no artificial lights in my room because the silver, soft light was slowly falling on the floors of the rooms and it also had such a cooling impact on my mind and body. I looked at the moon several times in the sky and appreciated its coolness and freshness. Its energy was palpable and then a very resourceful idea came into my mind. I opened all the windows; I decided to meditate in the moonlight. I quickly sat down on the couch where maximum moonlight was falling and the mood and disposition itself was so contemplative and introverted. My mind was naturally very calm in this panoramic time.

Buddha Poornima and Bhagwan Buddha are so synonymous that I immediately traveled mentally to Bodh Gaya and sat under the Bodhi Tree to meditate. The swirling and rustling Peepal tree leaves were casting their magic spell already and I was soaked in every little divine vibrations coming from that spiritual place.

I felt that I was a very lucky soul to have visited Bodh Gaya and more so because correspondingly I could replicate at home what I did and experienced in Bodh Gaya. Besides, I imagined that I am sitting in that holy spot where Bhagwan Buddha must have sat there and meditated so intensely and got spiritual enlightenment. A gush of fresh spiritual energies encircled me and I felt I am really in that place even now under the moonlight. I have relived those sublime experiences a few times more at night and in the wakeful times and when I woke up at night.

However, today on 14th May it was very different The day started with a lot of commotion, apathy by people whom I met and also unexpected unrest from neighbours. I took things as they came and handled them with serenity in spite of serious concern that the external turbulence should not weaken my good hold over inner peace which I had gathered under the moonlight the previous late evening. By afternoon and the onset of evening as the disturbing energies waned and faded. I rested and I realized that instantaneously the mind had touched the base of very deep peace again. I was waiting earnestly for this to happen. When would the flow of contradictory energies wane so that I could take my mind to the innermost levels of peace was my thought throughout. I was successful in patiently switching and co-coordinating the exit of bad energies and immediately going  back to the deep ocean of great peace inside after the tranquil  vibrations began coming in. It was only after this point that I was able to radiate the most brilliant spiritual energies and then compose a short article which would give us some new insights and messages from the holy, Divine Masters on this auspicious day.

Yesterday in the long meditation that I did in the morning, I had the great blessing and kripa of Shri Kartikeyan Swami again. He had once initiated Shri Mahavatar Babaji in Katargama into higher Kriya Science. So he is my Param, param Guru!

But before that there is something else to say too…..

Only on Sunday evening 11th May, as I took a long walk, I incidentally happened to be very close to Ayyappa temple where Kartikeyan Swami is also worshiped. I was very thrilled to know that he had actually called me to seek his blessings.  There were no  plans to go to that temple. We reached at the most appropriate time where some drums were being played and the Aarti was being performed.

I paid my humblest, most sincere devotion, reverence and sought his benediction. He immediately conveyed, “After Babaji, from now onward I am your Guru, I will take your lessons, tell everybody that you are my good disciple and your tapasya is bearing very pleasant fruit.” I had just gone there as a mark of respectfulness and gratefulness and I got more than I ever thought I was worthy of. My heart was swaying with joy as I got the  inner benediction and also the outside spiritual atmosphere of the temple. I came home feeling very full and enlightened because I saw God’s unseen working behind all this. I only obeyed my inner guidance and got gravitated towards the temple spontaneously where Swami resides. I thanked God so many times!

During my long meditation Swami unfolded my very long spiritual journey as per his own appraisal, “From a low-set, sunken incarnation in the first life to higher and higher incarnation in every life until you have become an accomplished tapasvini, yogini, you have risen in every life. It was not in your destiny to touch such stellar heights in this life too. Your accomplishments are because of your excessively powerful thoughts and resolute of will. Everything has happened because of your power of will. And remember in future also you shall be able to accomplish all your dreams because of your strong Ichcha Shakti, and will power.

(To be continued)

Bodh Gaya where Lord Buddha meditated bestows ichcha shakti or will power to us.

Parangipettai, the place where Shri Mahavatar Babaji was born also has great energies to supplement us with Ichcha Shakti.

Sankalpa Shakti, the power of our thoughts-III

May 9, 2014

Part A

My dear friends, it has been a long time since a new post was issued on the blog. There are two specific reasons for it. Firstly, I realized that I have worked a lot on the blog particularly in the last three years to the extent of being soft on my health. Besides, I wanted that people should read the posts over and over again; there are so many.  And simultaneously, our one more open school on Face Book has been underway. It is christened Life Beautiful. By now it has taken a proper shape and I find some newcomers ready for bigger things. Some of you are taking the benefits of both platforms; the more the merrier! Along with this, some new blog readers are communicating with me after reading various posts and are seeking advice for personal growth. They are being attended to and looking at the various aspects that have started flourishing associated with Spiritinlife, I feel humbled as well as satisfied. I have shrunk the size of my emails to minimal, nonetheless everybody’s needs are addressed to and I see everyone’s development taking place at a fast speed. I believe this must be the aim of Shri Mahavatar Babaji and his community of godly souls. Some of you are also speeding up their progress purposely and are visiting the holy shrines and dynamic spiritual places on their own to grow faster and seeking blessings.

I see clearly that the spiritual energies of a number of saints are at constant work. They are in collusion and commune with me and are sending and relaying various messages for different aspirants so that their progress should be at a reasonably good pace.

Just recently, that is to say a few hours ago as I woke up from a very restful sleep, it was ordained that I leave all other predefined tasks and immediately sit down to write after I have a short period of strong connection with them in meditation. I am complying and my words are just flowing unbrokenly. Tremendous energy I receive from them to do this wonderful task of writing spiritual essays of various topics only when God pronounces.

Part B

Last month I had gone to Bodh Gaya It was one of the most memorable visits that I have made so far. After I returned home from that place, I saw one day in a sublime state that a thick pillar of white Light is ascending from the sky and falling on the Bodhi Tree. Such transcendent encounters are always inspiring and sought by any practicing yogi. It was as if God was trying to say something to me about crucial and important things after I have already returned home. As the Light of God stopped pouring on the Bodhi Tree, I was informed, “Perennial Light is being inducted by God in this place to keep it effusively energized. It is happening because people who visit this place should be facilitated to remove their ignorance, avidya from inside their minds. Specific places on the Earth are being radiated by God’s Light with a specific purpose and this place is blessed by such a prominent feature.

Bodh Gaya has two specialties in fact, that of clearing our sins and broadening our consciousness depending on the size of our vessel.

Just a few seconds later the beam of Light became weak in strength and I was wondering what happened suddenly. I was enlightened further when I learnt that minds that are scattered, weak, or poor in health, in such cases the beam of light gets scattered in blobs around such vessels because those minds are unable to absorb all of the Light.

In contrast I viewed that when the thick beam of Light was falling on strong and enlightened mind, it was penetrating inside it fully. It was proving by itself that if people’s minds are filled with pride, desires, vasanas, and hence filled up with those dense particles and the rays of Light are not able to enter the brain or mind. If the mind is preoccupied with worldly thoughts, we cannot equip ourselves in retaining those rays of Light because it is already engaged in something else.

Part C

Very rarely can I hope to have a darshan or interaction with a very primitive and extremely reclusive divine soul like Shri Murugan Swami or Kartikeyan Swami. I understand that this must be because Shri Bogarnatharji must have blessed me as I have visited Palani in Dec,2013 in spite of poor physical health condition. Or is it because I am doing Shri Babaji’s seva continuously? Well, I have no fixed answer or any idea what happened. But I guess, a sincere yogi’s life has many twists and turns. I attribute this phase of my yogic life to this aspect and reason. For those readers who do not know uptil now, Kartikeyan Swami is in the lineage of Shri Mahavatar Babaji of siddhas or acclaimed yogis of India. He is Lord Shiva’s second son apart from Lord Ganesha. In down South, he is revered profusely and is called by various names such as Murugan Swami, Shanmuga, Kumar Swami, Kartikeyan and so on.

He has appeared before me a couple of times and has caused ripples of exhilaration, because his frequency is impossible to reach. I am at this moment, as I finish my post thinking that after being able to hear the highest frequencies of Om could have enabled me to commune with him at his state of astral existence? Or has Babaji blessed me with this attribute? Well, if leaving out these reasons, then I cannot explain myself with another justification or explanation. To my satisfaction and belief, I think a combination of all these factors empowered me to have the great opportunity to get to know one more fascinating fact about the secreted world of the advanced yogis and alchemists in their immortal states.

Shri Kartikeyan Swami enlightened me by adding something more to my assemblage of spiritual knowledge. Before his advent, I saw bright Light in my inner view. It was very dense and conformed to the fact that indeed his stature is phenomenal.

“A soul suffers in every life because of its own shortcomings. It is born hundreds of times because of vasanas or desires or ahankar or ego.

A good yogi will remove these two great barriers automatically with his or her own desire.

Those who do not listen to their conscience, take endless re-births and prolong their sufferings, mental and spiritual both and do not even know how to bring an end to their own untold misery.

You have taken the shortest time to evolve and blossom and therefore are in bliss and continuous joy.

Those who are now awaking and have woken up after such endless incarnations are still in agony because their awakening is also painful. They will take much longer time to rise up and flourish in the realm of the Spirit. It is because human beings have poor quality of thoughts. It is our Sankalpa or power of thought which will catapult us to doing extraordinary actions in spite of all hurdles or obstacles in Nature in all lives.

It is because of the power of our thoughts that we shall be able to perform those actions which are conducive in realizing our Self.

If the Self is tainted with ego, desires and selfish interests, then the Spirit cannot unfold.

Blessed are those who are forever serving God and the Illumined Souls in uplifting this world.

Blessed are those who are leading a quiet, pious and blissful, holy life.

Blessed are those who are making this Universe more livable for all other living creatures.

Blessed are those who understand that the highest happiness lies in serving the children of God.

Upasana karo apni Atma ki,

 Balidaan, do apne ahankar ki

Kshan, kshan, pal pal nit nayi laharehen

Ishwar ki tumhari ore ayanegi

Yadi mana swachch rakha sada

Sukh bhogoge ati indriyi ananda ka

Ishwar ka ghar sada khula rahega

Jab chaho amrit varsha ko chakh lena

Barasta raheta hai tumhare hi andar

Kewal apne mana ko ati pavitra der hai banane ki……

Translation, though not as poetic as it was in Hindi.

Worship your  own Atma

Give sacrifice of your ego

Each and every moment, new waves of

God shall appear near you

If you keep your mind ever clean

You shall gain joy that is beyond senses

The house of God shall be ever open for you

You can drink the flowing nectar

Which cascades always inside you

It is just a matter of making your mind pious and clean……”

In such meditative times, as my mark of gratitude and thanksgiving to all the Illumined Masters who are constantly helping us to alleviate our sufferings and mental misery, I got up to light incense sticks of Ketaki flowers for Shri Kartikeyan Swami in particular. It is with this intent that may we all bloom in Self, our Atma and spread such enticing fragrance as that of Ketaki in the world that we live in!

Guru Brahma, Gurur Vishnu………
