Shri Krishna Govinda Hare Murare, Hey Nath Narayan Vasudevaya…..
Our soul is buried deep inside the thick layers of the debris of the karmas done by us in innumerable incarnations. It gets buried to such an extent that it becomes impossible for man to even conceive of God, let alone think or meditate upon it. The thick layers act as insulation and the human being believes that he/ she is the most superior because of which she/he does not fear or obey God. Disobedience, arrogance and brushing aside sane advice is by those people who are careless in their conduct. They do not realize that these bad actions or karmas are creating a web cycle of endless low quality births in future lives to come.
The soul which is a small fragment of Cosmic Consciousness is us is indelible and cannot be erased no matter how long we live and die in ignorance in uncountable bodies. The soul is the voice of God. The soul is always right and gives us unfaltering guidance and advice. The soul is our real beauty hidden inside us. Our soul is our conscience with which can navigate safely in spite of recurring turbulence outside us in this mahasagar or ocean called the sansara, the world.
But how do we lose contact with our soul?
Mainly by two factors
- Living in wrong and unproductive company; in so doing gaining and collecting bad energies.
- Doing bad actions. The bad energies or forces compel the individual being or self to like and get attracted to bad forces or bad actions. This creates a never ending cycle or wheel and maze from which the individual self cannot recover and suffers life after life.
And for those who wish to re-connect to their souls, what must they do?
- Sadhana ( spiritual practice ) of Japa (chanting and recitation of God’ name)
- Dhyana (meditation)
- Seva (service)
- Maintaing silence (maun)
- Leading a pure life (saatvik life)
Thus, recalling the memory of God in oneself are some ways.
Bhagwan Buddha was reiterating endlessly about the soul’s incessant suffering because of his/her endless desires set in ignorance but hardly anyone understands this even until this day. Unless the individual has a desire to liberate oneself from its own created hell and suffering, even God cannot help! Given the teachings and spiritual counsel of the realized great Teachers the world has known, one can liberate oneself by first accepting their teachings in the heart with reverence and devotion. Once the dust over the soul is lifted, the soul begins to speak to you by becoming your constant companion and friend residing inside who never leaves you for even a moment.
The soul never sleeps and is awake even though the body may sleep or mind may rest. The soul speaks to us in many different ways. Sometimes it whispers in our ears gently. Someday, it talks to us like we talk to our own selves in the day. Sometime, it may only utter a few simple or perplexing words so remain alert and contemplate on them. On some beatific occasions, it might only manifest itself as unending peace or sheer bliss just like it has manifested itself with so much tranquility and serenity in these sublime and thought provoking words in me in this blessed hour after prolonged turbulence in the last so many days!
My many, many salutations and pranams to my soul, which is purity of the Divine, for residing in me and speaking to me these liberating words of Moksha!!
Hi sarika, As I had shared with you earlier, how miserable I felt on New Year’s eve bash. I’m practising more of Dhyana and Japa to overcome the undersiable experience and get closer to God. This is a really wonderful blog. Felt very happy reading it.
Lots of love and affection from Kanchana and family!
Dear Aunty,
Soul resides in us and guides us but are we not our soul? In which way we are different from our soul ? The thoughts which we think, the actions we do are manifested by soul itself right?
Regards,
Garima
Dear Garima, There is a long explanation for this question, nonetheless I will make it easy and simple for you to understand because I think you are trying to know who you are and how does our soul speak to us.
First of all there is this infinite, deathless Cosmic Consciousness or Universal Spirit out of which the whole universe was created. It is an indestructible force present everywhere and in every being yet not perceivable because of Maya, the deluding, contrary force which covers the hidden divine eye required to have the spiritual wisdom that enables us to comprehend, perceive and experience that Universal Force in us.
We as human being have that ‘chetna’ or consciousness called the soul or spirit.
Once that ‘chetna’or consciousness decides to manifest in a physical body out of desire or ‘sankalpa’it becomes ‘jeeva’. (read Kunadalini Shakti -III again) With body also comes ignorance. It is also called ‘achetna’ or ‘avidya’. The ‘jeeva’ gets lost in the delusion of the transitory world or ‘sansara’ and forgets its origin by doing wrong and bad deeds, its source of birth and loses memory of its divinity.
So as humans, we have the spiritual body, the mana, the mental body and the physical body. Atma, mana, buddhi and ahankar or ego. In the heart centre lies the home of our soul, near the mana or manas in Sanskrit. Though everything like the thoughts and emotions are powered by Atma, yet Atma is separate from the thoughts because Atma is pure divine Light while the wordly thoughts arise from the ignorance of the ‘jeeva’.
But as the individual becomes purer in thoughts and deeds with wisdom and pure deeds with sadhana, the cover over the Atma gets thinner and thinner until one day the ignorance or ‘avidya’ is completely erazed and the individual after a lapse of countless births re-experiences the divine light with God’s supreme grace and mercy. At this stage the focus shifts permanently from one’s ego to the guiding voice of the soul and all the actions and thoughts are inspired by the blazing light of that Universal Spirit that is present in us at the core of our heart.
Though we still do have thoughts but they are of highest order because at this stage our soul speaks freely to us as there is no cover or layers of thoughts of ignorance over it anymore. The Atma is the guiding force and not our ignorance at this elevated state of spiritual evolution. Hence the ‘Brahma’ is once again in its full glory and splendour!
Gave you a brief explanation, hope you got your answer, if not then please ask again. You are welcomes always, don’t hesitate please.
Sarika Aunty
Dear Aunty,
This explanation went deep inside my being ,The spirit is guiding me to the soul and may with divine will there remain no layer which obstructs the holy meeting of spirit and soul. I remember once you quoted that “soul cleansing is like removing layers from a garlic and last layer is the most difficult one to come off” ,please forgive me if words are not arranged in the same fashion as you did but these layers of ignorance bound to destroy one day with pure devotion, love and penance.
Regards,
Garima
You got it right dear! God bless you always!
Thank you Maa.. some take away

My dear Paripurna, have you seen that the mind becomes sharper and more subtler as we focus it continuously on one sacred mission or thought or goal of life? I see that happening to you so clearly.
All the points that you have highlighted here after reading some posts are of prime importance. These realizations come to us when we turn our mind inward and focus it to retrieve our own lost knowledge which our Spirit has.
Now remember these pearls of wisdom.Revise them many times, apply them in your life and turn your life into this.
Blessings always
Ma.
Maa.. It is all Kripa. Guru does it and give credit to Chela. Spiritual world functioning is so different so sweet. Today I was reading “the-soul-speaks-to-you-iii” and found it full of gems and some of it just quoting here.
-Guru gives you the knowledge of what is right and what is not right, then you have Light to see inside with clarity and precision!
– “I cannot move ahead at all without the spiritual guidance and wisdom given to me by the divine gurus since I have taken refuge in them some years ago. The normal vision of any layman is like walking in a dark cave without any sight! How can he see God?”.
Thank you Maa, Babaji, Bhagwan Nityananda, Shaligram swami, and sweet Mother and the dearest God for this Spritinlife university.
We are blessed to be here.
regards
Paripurna
pranam ma, and pranam to my soul, the infinite
lord remove all the dust covered in our soul, bless us all.
“Feel nothing, know nothing, do nothing, have nothing, give up all to God, and say utterly, ‘Thy will be done.’ We only dream this bondage. Wake up and let it go.”

Love,
Midhun Pk
Pranaam dearest Maa,
Thank you once again for pulling out a gem for us from this vast ocean called Spirit in Life. This is one of the many many posts that stands as a testimony to the name of the blog.
Some of the points I picked up:
– Our soul is buried deep inside the thick layers of the debris of the karmas done by us in innumerable incarnations.
– They do not realise that these bad actions or karmas are creating a web cycle of endless low quality births in future lives to come.
– The soul is the voice of God.
– Our soul is our conscience with which (we) can navigate safely in spite of recurring turbulence outside us, in this mahasagar or ocean called the sansara, the world.
Some of the lessons I have learned from experience, and I am seeing today how the Sacred Knowledge on the blog is true, eternally:
– Living in wrong and unproductive company; in so doing gaining and collecting bad energies.
– Doing bad actions. The bad energies or forces compel the individual being or self to like and get attracted to bad forces or bad actions. This creates a never ending cycle or wheel and maze from which the individual self cannot recover and suffers life after life.
Thank you for the practical-spiritual solutions to our problems in life as well, dear Maa:
– Sadhana ( spiritual practice ) of Japa (chanting and recitation of God’s name)
– Dhyana (meditation)
– Seva (service)
– Maintaing silence or maun
– Leading a saatvik or pure life
This is very true:
– Unless the individual has a desire to liberate oneself from its own created hell and suffering, even God cannot help!
– The teachings and spiritual counsel of the realized great Teachers the world has known, one can liberate oneself by first accepting their teachings in the heart with reverence and devotion.
The results:
– The soul begins to speak to you by becoming your constant companion and friend residing inside who never leaves you for even a moment.
The soul speaks to us in many different ways, the true potential and beauty of the soul manifests in infinite methods and dimensions:
– Sometimes it whispers in our ears gently.
– Someday, it talks to us like we talk to our own selves in the day.
– Sometime, it may only utter a few simple or perplexing words so remain alert and contemplate on them.
– On some beatific occasions, it might only manifest itself as unending peace or sheer bliss.
– Just like it has manifested itself with so much tranquility and serenity in these sublime and thought provoking words in me in this blessed hour after prolonged turbulence in the last so many days!
– My many, many salutations and pranams to my soul, which is purity of the Divine, for residing in me and speaking to me these liberating words of Moksha!!
Truly, dear Maa, this blog and the words are not mere ink on paper, these are the Gifts and Gems, Realisations and Light, dispersed in the world for everyone’s welfare when the soul meets and becomes the Spirit!!! Thank you.
With deepest gratitude,
Pranaam.
