Our lives are in our hands-II
30.05.09
As it became dark in the evening and the forest was dense, he was unable to find his way back. He became nervous and worried. With an intense prayer in his heart, he began to call Lord Shiva. After about half an hour or so, in that quiet and peaceful environment, he heard some footsteps, after which he saw a sannyasi, an ascetic in ochre clothes standing next to him smiling gently. He was carrying a bowl and was holding a staff and wearing wooden sandals. The sannyasi was very fair and tall and his body emitted golden glow. Furthermore, his face beamed extraordinary peace and serenity and he had a sort of magnetic enchantment inducing towards him.
Presuming him to be a realised mahayogi, he knelt down humbly at his feet. The sannyasi glanced at him with a questioning gesture. Shivendra understood this and spoke, “Maharaj, I have lost my way. Since the past three hours, I am searching my way. Can you please show me the path?”
Hearing this, the sannyasi began to laugh loudly scaring Shivendra profusely.
“My son, which path have you lost? I only know one path and that path leads man to progress. Do you want that path of life?”
Shivendra nodded his head in affirmation. The sannyasi made Shivendra sit beside him on a huge rock. For three to four hours, he had a fruitful conversation with Shivendra. During that period, his mind and body were at complete rest and he became very attentive. He perceived and understood what was the underlying existing cause behind this entire universe. He was given the sacred knowledge of liberation. The ‘beej’ (seed) of the ‘sansara’ (sensory world) is Brahma (Atman) he was told. The sannyasi also explained to Shivendra the difference between a good and an evil man, a friend and a foe and how to discriminate between the two.
They spent a considerable time in mutual company and he was a recipient of a great treasure of knowledge and Shivendra got profound joy and satisfaction in it. With a lot of love, the sannyasi said, “My dear son, whatever I have told you never forget it. Whenever a good man comes to you show him the path of brotherhood and mankind. Give love to all. Instil their lives with peace, faith, happiness and progress and make their lives abundant. The more people you reach out, the better it will be.”
He further added, “Do not discriminate between people on the basis of country, religion, caste or creed. Follow only the religion of brotherhood of mankind.” After saying this he again repeated, “Will you lose your way now?” Lovingly he patted his back and before he asked for his leave, Shivendra asked his name. He replied, “Kandhari.”
How to make your life extra ordinary from ordinary?
01.11.09
With these bright and enriching thoughts, let me now proceed to reveal and talk about what Holy Swami Shaligram, the foremost disciple of Swami Nityananda of Ganeshpuri has told us in order to make our lives extra ordinary in many ways. He said-
Believe in your destiny Don’t doubt your destiny which is a very big force which we carry in an embryonic state within us. Whatever we are supposed to have or get in life in future, we will definitely get and acquire in a fixed course of time. So why lose hope and have doubts in our power, abilities, or capacity to do something? Instead put all your energy and focus on achieving what you desire for.
Now why do all genuine saints ask us to believe in our destiny, one may ask or at least the atheists may ask me.
Confidence in your destiny gives you sense of satisfaction and contentment or else feelings of discontentment, jealousy and hopelessness are nursed. If you have a firm belief that whatever life has pre-decided to bestow on me, I will surely get one day, no one can take that away from me, you will have no fears or concerns and will never be overwhelmed by mental worries and anxiety. On the contrary we are sure to stay calm and we will move towards our set goals. Lord Krishna was destined to become the king of Mathura, no matter how many attempts were made by Kansa to kill Him but he was unsuccessful in his wicked attempts.
When your time comes to get bestowed what is due to you, circumstances automatically become favourable. Try to see at present whether the forces are against you or in your favour. If they are unfavourable try harder, intensify your efforts leave no stone unturned, you will achieve your goals. Knock every door until the opportunity arrives and knocks your door. And even if after trying nothing works then-
Have patience Cultivate patience, not little but a lot of it. Extra ordinary people are blessed with this great quality. Believe in yourself that you will be able to achieve what you have set your goals for but that will take time. Until that manifests, you must put up with every effort and that too very consistently. We tend to forget that when we do not achieve results after making many attempts at something, only patience helps.
In normal circumstances, what we do is try to do a bit of something then lose hope and eventually give up. For some results we have to work harder as it takes longer than normal to get desired results. So be it!! Achieve your aims and goals with untiring patience.
Lord Rama never gave up and had unending patience when he set out to find his abducted wife, his beloved consort, Seeta. He searched for her everywhere in the forest and in plains. And being the king of Ayodhya, he did not hesitate to ask for help from anyone whether they were animate or inanimate, high or low, rich or poor, known or unknown. He worshipped the sands of seashore of Indian Ocean and also to Lord Shiva after the battle in Lanka until he achieved what he had set for!! So
Be persistent Whenever I think of persistence, I think of ants. Ants never give up and they carry such big loads on their head and to me they never seem to be getting tired of doing the same job all their lives. When they walk up, they fall umpteen times. They never say that it’s not possible to reach my destination because I keep falling. Instead, they create their own path and walk on it. You try stopping an ant that is carrying a grain of sugar up the hill you will understand what I am saying. It will never stop and instead it moves in another direction and keeps moving up. If there are people who are blocking your path, don’t complain, cry or sulk, just carve out a new path and walk in a new direction. Carve out your new destiny by being very persistent in your efforts. Persistence really pays. No matter how long it takes to get results, months or years, put in your efforts on a regular basis until you get what you want in life, it could be physical, material or spiritual in nature. To make our lives better and progressive, material gains are also needed.
Be determined By being determined, we remain focused in our endeavours. If you are determined, you will become fearless. Determined people are afraid of nothing, not even death. They face everything that comes in front of them; they address it and move on. There are going to be problems in between, there will be short periods of darkness, you may sometimes feel hopeless but it does not matter. Be determined and rise once more and do not rest until you have achieved what you had set out for. There are many people out there who have set up their big business houses, companies, ventures and other establishments who had no help whatsoever but they were determined to pursue to follow and chase their dreams and goals. Great athletes and sportsmen, mountaineers, climbers, freedom fighters are also people with extra ordinary determination and therefore achieve extra ordinary feats.
Control your mind and speech People who have regulated speech can control their mind easily. Our speech should be full of meaning and worth. Senseless words, senseless talking and senseless thinking depletes our energy and stops us from exploring our optimum potential. Learn to conserve energy by talking less and thinking more. A lot of energy is wasted in worthless conversation for the heck of it. Limited talking will give us more time to contemplate and meditate.
A scattered and restless mind can never achieve anything big and extra-ordinary. Try to meditate to make the mind calm, strong , powerful and dynamic to achieve whatever you want to achieve and pursue an enriching, enhanced and superior life. To extrapolate and break all limitations of mind and body, be conservative in talking and do not spend your precious energy in fruitless interactions with people. Save time for yourself to nurture, conserve and mould your life in extraordinary ways. People who speak less and meaningfully have the power to have an impact and can change other people’s life in many areas. So control your mind and control your speech. They both are interrelated.
Be courageous If you look at the life of Panchali, she was one woman who was very courageous. She did not fear anything and always spoke the truth without any hesitation. She was bold enough to tell Bhishmapitamaha, the seniormost member and head of the entire lineage, that he had no business to be called Pitamaha and the caretaker of Hastinapur if he did not have the courage to stop the Kauravas from insulting and disrobing her in public. She had the courage to go bemoaning to Dhritrashtra and tell him that as he had kept mum during such an ill-omened hour, ominous fate would fall on the next generations of Kauravas. She feared nobody in the huge hall where there were only men and no woman to be at her side at such a critical time.
She also decided to be on the battle field for those 18 long days at Kurukshetra till the war was over to see to it that no Kaurava survives the wrath that they had called upon themselves by their own misdeeds. In the camp, she would nurse the soldiers and falling kings to the ground. She saw the gory of death and destruction and waited for Pandavas to bring the war to an end.
After the war, like Pandavas, she too relinquished Hastinapur and chose the cold and arduous Himalayas to bring the chapter of her life to a close. All along, she chose to be with the Pandavas uptil Swarag Rohini peak, near Alaknanda river in the mighty Himalayas, next to today’s Badrinath temple where one by one, the Pandavas laid down their lives willingly as repentence and penance for the war they had fought so unwillingly!! History pays tribute to that bold and courageous woman even today.
Women can achieve and accomplish anything and make their lives extra ordinary if they want to, provided they possess or cultivate boldness, courage, forthrightness and fortitude. So cultivate that and fear nothing in life.
Judge your life by its quality It is in our nature to judge ourselves by comparing ourselves with someone else who has ‘become something’ or seems to have achieved much more than us in terms of success and material gains.
But my dear child, I do not view and judge myself on this criteria. This is not the bench mark for me to judge people. I agree that there are many people whom I know are much more successful and are wealthier than I am in terms of career, success and wealth. Good for them!! I am not missing out on anything, I am very positive about it. On the contrary, I consider myself to be more fortunate than all others because I am able to connect to God anytime I wish to, I have my own contacts and connections!!! Do they have that?
I have peace in my life. Do they have peace of mind?
I have joy in my life. Do those people have joy in their life or are they in delusion and misery of some kind?
I have contentment and satisfaction. Do the very rich and visibly famous have contentment or do they crave for more?
I have unshakeable faith in God. Faith that has helped me to navigate in the darkest hours of my life. Do you have sufficient faith and believe in God and his mercy and Grace?
And if yes, then you are a blessed one and a chosen one!!
Judge yourself and your life by the ‘quality of life’ that you are leading and not by the amount of material you are consuming, not by accumulating heaps and heaps of notes, gold and silver, owning estates, or if you have 200 people working under you. Think!!! Change your definition of rich, beautiful and successful.
Only a true spiritual man is happy and successful in life. Someone who has understood the mystery of life, someone who has solved his complex human mind problems with the help of deep connection with the Almighty God, who has understood that this world is a temporary residence where we are supposed to give more than we take, who never looks back and does not even count his innumerable good karmas. Someone who is always rejoicing without getting any gain or success, someone who forgives all in spite of their ill temper and behaviour and someone who loves to pray and talk to god is a blessed soul. Such a person is extra ordinary, he is special, his life becomes extra ordinary.
So judge your life and yourself on this criteria and now make your life extra ordinary. It is not the number of years that we live, but the quality of life that we spend here. At this moment while explaining, I remember Abhimanyu, the star of Mahabharat. He was barely 16 years old when he died an unfortunate and tragic death in the hands of capricious and wicked Kauravas. But he did a spectacular job by tilting the fate of the war. He helped the Pandavas in the war by not allowing Dronacharya, who had vowed to kill Yudhisthir after the death of Bhishmapitamah, either by capturing or killing him and hence bringing the war to an end in their favour. Though Abhimanyu was such a young lad, but his contribution towards Pandavas and the human society at large was huge. He took on the responsibility of changing the course of the war and has created a place for himself in history for heroic, dauntless courage. So who lives better and how? People who have a sense of awareness and consciousness or people who are awake all their lives and live each day in awareness, wakefulness and gratitude are the ones who live their lives truly well.
Why is Atman difficult to know?
20.11.10
When I was completely lost in these thoughts closing my eyes, in me appeared the benevolent face of Swami Nityananda of Ganeshpuri with his two hands in the air as usual, as though he is invariably blessing us. He asked me upfront, “Tell me why is Atman difficult to know?” I was stumped and speechless. I was in no condition to reply because of these two reasons. Firstly, his emergence was unexpected and secondly gazing at his tall stature, literally and figuratively, I was wonderstruck and in no position to think. He is my Divine Father. He has taught me how to walk by holding my finger on the spiritual path, has initiated me, he has comforted me in times of acute distress and has shown me light in times of darkness. Imagine how could I tell him something about Atman and why is it difficult to know it?
I simply prostrated humbly at his divine feet inwardly like a child and became attentive to receive sacred benediction from him. I was only too eager and waiting in anticipation to hear his celestial words in simple expressions. He explained the lofty ideas through a metaphor.
He began to communicate in a continuous flow,
“The body and Atman appear to look one and akin. Even if we do get a few glimpses of it sometimes, we cannot recognize it although it is in front of us. So the seeker must separate the two like butter in the buttermilk.
When we travel on the spiritual path, the consequences of past karmas of many, many lives manifest and show results. At that time we have to bear the consequences on our body and mind and we suffer in many ways. This clouds and covers the Atman and we lose our peace and become morose. Even those who have just been initiated in Atman recently are unable to stay in tune with the Atman because the negative effects of karmas are making a deep impact on the mind and body. Separate the mind, the thought of body from the unchangeable and joyous element called Atman in you. You should recognize this fact, know that the present life situation is due to past actions and be quiet and stable in mind. It takes a long time and a lot of pratice to achieve a state where the mind is completely conquered and is invulnerable. The search of God is not for the weak souls.
In times of misfortune, sickness, adversity and loss, humans have a tendency to rely on unreliable sources. They still take help of relatives, friends and other people, but they never take refuge and shelter in God. They still do not become dispassionate and detached with worldly attachments and ties which are infested in their minds. God is the only source of right advice and guidance, peace and calmness and is the solution to all our problems. During adverse, inharmonius and difficult conditions our mind is receptive, one must avail this opportunity and he must purify his soul by prayers and meditations.
The people who surround us with whom we live, work, our neighbours and others; they do many wrong and sinful deeds. The vibrations of their defiled mind cover our subtle Atman. The appalling vibrations that fall on us make us suffer in the form of mental disturbances and physical imbalance. The atmosphere that we live in is far from being pure. Meditation will clear the fog in the mind and clean the energy centres.
Now think of this- When our beloved, our lover is separated from us in some life because of some circumstantial reasons, we are unable to bear the pangs of separation. We remember him or her very fondly, we cry and long to meet him/ her and we keep thinking every moment when will I ever see my beloved’s face. When we eventually meet our beloved, we are so relieved although the union may have taken many lives. The pangs of separation take many lives to heal as we wait and wait to meet and see our sweetheart’s face! The pain and heartache of separation from ‘Purushottam’, the Supreme is much greater than the pain and gloom of our lover lost many lives before. We have been separated not by a few but many, many lives from our beloved Supreme Master, our sweetheart. The Supreme Master is as much eager to unite with us as we are desperate to mingle and unite with Him. And when we ultimately unite with the Supreme Light, the joy and ecstasy is unique and cannot be compared with anything similar that is of this ephemeral world.
We unknowingly roam and wander everywhere in the world in search of happiness, comfort, contentment and peace. We search for it in objects, material gain, success, relationships, sensual pleasures, temptations, vices and so many other deceiving aims. But sadly we are never ever satisfied with anything for long as everything in this sansara or world is short lived and has ‘anshik sukh’ partial happiness.
Once we get entangled in this sansara, the place of birth and death due to our karmic cycle, we get trapped in the chakravyuhu, the webmire and unconquerable maze like Abhimanyu in Mahabharat. It is almost impossible to come out of this maze and puzzle of this sansara. We too, like Abhimanyu know how to enter the maze but do not know the secret of escaping because of our slumber and lack of right knowledge. To be able to wake up from the sleep of ignorance, we may take a few eras and millenniums!! Now this is a sad situation. Hence it is advised by the sages and the learned that we must make special efforts or darun prayatna to liberate ourselves. The sadguru will surely help us but we must also make tremendous efforts from our side to liberate ourselves or else we shall again get lost in the maze and we shall again lose the opportunity of liberating ourselves by shutting the door of salvation with our own hands. To avoid this fragile situation, there are created so many types of spiritual practices for us to use as anchors and tools to thwart drifting.
Gradually, the ordinary intellect must be made sharper and refined by discrimination and spiritual wisdom as Atman is extremely subtle.
The further vast volume of spiritual knowledge of liberation was given to me by Swami Nityananda with the help of an allegory the following day. He reminded me about my trip to Kailash Mansarovar yatra which I undertook in July-Aug this year. And he explained to me that on a pilgrimage, there are many people at starting point, but gradually the number of people decreases and just a few can reach the top or the highest altitude. Similarly, if we imagine and visualize that only one person out of one lakh people attempts to pursue the path of God. We separate that person from the crowd and ask him to come on one side. Then we take another such aspirant and ask him to join the first person. We have selected two aspirants out of two lakh people, three from three lakh people and so on. And from one lakh such selected spiritual contestants just one single seeker is successful and able to know Atman. This means that the possibility of success is very difficult and rare. But why is it so? There are many reasons for this, he illustrated.
Those people who misuse Tantra, do black magic or witchcraft in the spiritual endeavours are disqualified and eliminated first of all amongst all the aspirants who chose to pursue God and enlightenment.
Then there are people amongst the group of aspirants who do not have the virtues of compassion, gratitude and generosity. They too start with others, walk a little but are disqualified from the path of God.
In the count of so many aspirants, there are some who call themselves devotees but they harbour negative emotions like competitive spirit, hatred, vengeance, weakness for money and honour, stealing, pride and other such unwanted tendencies They too are eliminated by God from the path. These people cannot reach the door of the Heavenly Father.
Now out of all the people who began, only some aspirants are left. These are the ones who make advancement and move ahead. But in this category are those people who do not obey the spiritual teacher because of their demerits of stubbornness, attachment to one’s ego or simply because of not letting go. Even though they do make considerable accomplishment on the path of God, they are unable to gain access to subtle knowledge. The gurus may be in physical form or in the astral world that does not matter in any way. It is expected of the seeker to obey the Master, obey the Universal and Spiritual Laws in every way till the last leg and phase of the spiritual journey. It is only when the disciple obeys the advice and counsel of the Spiritual Master in every sense that the door of the last and highest realms of the Atman is opened.
The stage of this kind of disciple can be compared to someone who is looking at the garden through a glass door. Although he can view everything clearly, he cannot go in the garden. The deep sunken corrosive ego in the disciple is difficult to identify by him and still harder to get rid of. It is only when one has the will and desire to erase one’s false self, that it becomes possible for the teacher to do his job of cleansing the inner core and layers of the subconscious mind polluted over so many previous lives. To unite with the Atman, the disciple must submit the subtlest ego with his own consent and agreement. He must surrender completely with faith in his heart for his own welfare.”

Banyan Tree: “Today you came to me and you have worshipped me, I am very pleased with you. I have been standing quietly for so many years and nobody glances at me. Everyone is attracted to the external beauty of other trees and gets swayed by them. You have come all the way from so far to look at me and take my photos! I am very happy to be on your blog because it belongs to Shri Mahavatar Babaji. The area of the ashram which has the samadhi ashes and meditation hall has divine light. Can you see that?”
Me: “Yes, now I can. I see two big circles of light. One is on top of the relic and the other on top of the meditation hall.”
Me: “How old are you?”
Banyan Tree: “A few hundred years. Three hundred and twenty one to be exact.”
Me: “But you don’t look that old. You have a slighter trunk. How come?”
Banyan Tree: ”Because I don’t have ichha to be so big. I had the desire to be only spiritual and holy. Trees have prana or life force inside them. Look at me in the middle, can you see the silver light inside me?”
Me: “Yes, I do.”
Banyan Tree: “That’s my prana or energy which I give to others. There is energy also in the leaves and other parts of the tree but maximum is in the centre of the tree, in my trunk. Look again.”
Me: “I am seeing it.”
Banyan Tree: “Trees have two main things -Spirit and life force –Atma and prana respectively. Each tree has its own Spirit and it has vital life force called prana. If the tree has a desire to help others selflessly and to be holy in nature, then it grows very big in size. Most Banyan trees have either of these desires while a few have both the desires, hence the difference in nature of each tree.”
“Recall the gigantic Peepal Tree that you saw in Murugan temple in Katargama in Sri Lanka. It has both- Ichha Shakti and Sankalpa Shakti. So it is very, very big and is also spiritual and holy. And my child, that tree can hear also! Therefore whoever comes to worship it, say their prayers there have wishes fulfilled. Those who come to quietly meditate under it, gain a lot of power to overcome their hurdles on the spiritual path and consequently make quick and hasty progress.”
Me: “No wonder, Hindus and Buddhists alike come in large numbers to worship this gigantic tree!”
Banyan Tree: “Not all Banyan or Peepal Trees are powerful and very pious. Just a few have a great desire to grow big in size and to be holy too like the one you saw on your pilgrimage in Sri Lanka.”
The Banyan Tree still continued filling me with abundant knowledge by telling me more.
Banyan Tree: “Each tree has prana according to his icchha Shakti. The more icchha Shakti, the more prana it will have. The prana is stored in its leaves. As it grows bigger and bigger, it will have more and more leaves to store prana. These trees have abundant prana to give to others. So have icchha Shakti and grow in Atma and not in material. Unless one possesses icchha Shakti , he cannot grow in Atma. Have icchha Shakti to grow in Atman and not desires to grow in material and worldly things. If you grow in Spirit you have power. Add power to your family, nation and planet like Babaji. Babaji is like a massive Banyan Tree. He possesses ancient wisdom, eternal values and esoteric knowledge. He is Boddhi Sattva, one who has enlightenment of Truth, knower of eternal Truth. Follow Babaji and his teachings. Serve God the way he is serving God since time immemorial. This is the best service you can do to humanity and to God.”
He continued to bless me further by revealing to me, “Some extra ordinary Banyan Trees emit Super Conscious rays, they are old, very old unlike seasonal flowers. Most saints of today are like seasonal flowers but Mahavatar Babaji is like the Banyan Tree. The Banyan Trees and Babaji are both alike. They give us a new lease of life, vitality for health, spiritual progress and hasty evolution but silently. He likes to hide from public and do selfless service for God eternally.”

The old rishi continued– “Babaji is God sent for all of you. He has mercy on every living creature. You are so very fortunate to be able to worship him in Pure state and Form in this life. This is your punya, good deeds. You have added many more punyas by asking for forgiveness for your clan. Babaji will manifest in you as light, knowledge, love and tapasya. Give all the fruit of your tapasya back to him so that he can use the tapafal, outcome of your spiritual efforts for the vridhi, escalation of satya, truth in this world. Babaji has blessed your past generations by accepting your forgiveness and their redemption through you. Your future generations will be pious, healthy, happy and prosperous and spiritual in nature. One day you will print and publish a book of this blog of articles by which the society of pious souls shall benefit and they will uplift their spirits. They will atone for their misgivings and they will get redemption from past and present wrongful karmas and they will surge ahead in spiritual evolution. You and your family will be healthy, prosperous and spiritual. All your desires will be fulfilled and peace shall prevail in your present and future lives to come. Preach to the world the power of love, co-operation and harmony. Where ever there is Dharma, truth, there is God, peace, prosperity and inner happiness. I bless all those people who read these articles with reverence and faith in Mahavatar Babaji, and they too shall be showered with spiritual happiness and satisfaction, good health and prosperity.”

Maharishi Agastya was dark in complexion, short, had long hair tied in a big knot over his back and had a bunch of ancient manuscripts on palm leaves in his right hand. This face matched with the other astral view I had of him in Rameshwar temple, most probably in 2004. After we had offered our offerings and prayers in the Shiva temple at Rameshwar, I sat down in the hall against a pillar away from people, almost hiding and I did japa on my rudraksh mala. I closed my eyes to avoid seeing anything and with intensity repeated the holy name in a vibrant and pious atmosphere. I wanted to repeat the name of God as much as possible as my stay in Rameshwar was short. With this thought and intention, I picked up my rosary and began chanting Om Namaha Shivaya mantra. After little bit of chanting, I soon saw a short and stout figure with white dhoti draped around his waist and pot belly, a sacred thread over his left shoulder, and hair tied in a big knot on the back. He came in the hall, folded his hands with devotion and bowed his head in obeisance to Lord Shiva and turned around and came and stood next to me. I was astounded because I had not invoked any sage whatsoever. But with this incidence, I only gathered that the souls of the great sages must be coming here in the early hours to take a darshan of Lord Shiva which is true about all holy places. But why I got to see him and what could be the intention, rather what good I must have done in the past to get a splendid moment like this, I wondered. I was incredibly baffled at the unexpected arrival of his. As if this was not enough, he came and sat next to me on the floor. When I felt his warmth and very faint sensation of his auric energy, I began to thank my good luck and good karmas for an occurrence like this.
Inwardly, I did pranam to him with awe and reverence. He blessed me by saying these words, “Yes, I am Agastya. I come here every day to pay my obeisance to Shankar Bhagwan, I am his devotee. Swami Nityananda (of Ganeshpuri) has sent you here to do penance. I knew you will come. Your prayashchit redemption is over. You are now clean. Now do tapasya, tapasya of body, mind and soul. Draupadi had full faith in Lord Krishna and he salvaged her honour and rescued her out of love . Out of sheer divine love between the two, Lord Krishna called Draupadi- Krishne. He gave his own name to her. You are asadharan stree, a remarkable woman. You will attain success faster than others. Your devotion to Krishna is exemplary, others will follow you. Your success is due to your devotion and faith in Krishna. You have worshipped him in many incarnations. He will do your udhdhar, he will rescue you, give you salvation. And now let me clear your mystification. Bhagwan Rama came uptil here and then crossed over the ocean to Lanka. I helped him in his penance and in winning the battle with the asura Ravana. Ramayan is not a myth but it is all true. Faithless people doubt in God’s presence. After you go from here, continue your sadhana without a break with full devotion and faith in God, you will succeed.” This is one incident and…
I had no problem in recognizing this great sage about whom I had mentioned if you can recall, in the post –How does one know Atman? that Maharishi Agastya along with Mahavatar Babaji and Boganathar took Saurabh Samadhi after intense tapas in the forests and caves. When he came to me in his astral body to impart higher than usual spiritual wisdom during meditation in the morning of 2.2.11 this time, I at once offered my pranam in my heart without moving the body as it would have broken my communion with him. Very fluently, losing no time, he began to converse with me telepathically, “I am Maharishi Agastya. I am not a muni. Muni is the one who does manan, thinking on the mind level. I am a Maharishi because I did shodhan, research on medicine, astrology, chemistry and spiritual sciences. I like to help those meditators who are trying sincerely. When one tries to salvage his soul, he is met by many unexpected trials and tribulations. Only the daunting souls can march ahead. The weak and anxious souls decide to either stagger or stop their journey. The trials of life should be taken as tapasya. I am doing tapas since the past seventy five thousand years.
“When you concentrate on the agya chakra, do not give attention to any sound or loud noise coming from outside and reverberating in your head. Stay fixed. Fix your gaze at that point as long as you can. The thoughts and images that are coming in your mind are not generated inside you. They are of the people who are either thinking of you or talking about you somewhere, discard them, they are absolutely unimportant.
Depth in meditation raises the level of Consciousness and duration widens the Consciousness.
Part-A
For depth, one needs practice. With practice, concentration and meditation becomes deeper. By depth is meant reaching the highest realms of the celestial skies of ether and space. Connect your mind to the highest skies. There are seven skies, seven loks or worlds, seven chakras, seven colours in a rainbow, seven days in a week and seven levels of aspiration. Touch the seventh level of highest realization where one learns to identify himself with the Spirit and not the body!
Our soul is entrapped in the body. It is like a bird caught inside the cage where the soul is tormented and flutters in anguish to free itself to fly in the sky of freedom to meet its beloved, the Highest Consciousness or Supreme Self called Chetna Shakti.
The guru comes in our life to open the door of the cage so that we can escape the cringe and constriction of the imprisoned soul. The limit and boundary till we fly in the sky is decided by us. We can fly to either low, medium or the highest skies. All that depends on your Ichcha Shakti, your will to aspire and attain. Your vision with Babaji narrated in the last post denotes this. Your will to take leaps and strides was not in your destiny but you are taking because of your Ichcha Shakti. When Ichcha Shakti is prabal, that is intense, our own Atma helps us and catalysts the whole process of aspiring higher.
You can be unstoppable if you wish to and cover distances which you couldn’t even comprehend let alone achieve them. If once your Consciousness is awakened, there is no stopping. So help yourself and others too. And I am protecting the birth place in Parangaipettai from nature’s calamities so that it does not get destroyed”.
Part B
Now strangely, Babaji had told me to visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha before I embarked on Kailash Mansarovar Yatra in July last year. I had planned my trip accordingly. But there were changes in the last hour and because of time crunch Lumbini was cancelled. While posting the last many articles, I realized that all the recommended places which I have visited have some great significance in my life. Just try to recall the great Banyan Tree that is more than 8,000 plus years old about which I have mentioned in my last post? This is the huge religious Banyan Tree in Lumbini with whom I connected on the same day after Maharishi Agastya illumined me. The day was 2.2.11. It was the same Tree that has explained to me many undisclosed spiritual laws. With God’s great mercy, the benevolent tree divulged his past background and history also. Here is his story in his own words –
“About 9,500 years back, I was a rishi, a sage in Nepal in the Himalayan Mountains. For many years, I did intensive physical, mental and spiritual tapasya penance to realize God. After I realized God I reflected and thought why did I not ask anything for others with the clout of my tapas? I wish I had asked something for others instead of myself !
As God is very quick in listening to sincere and unselfish prayers, I was heard instantly and God said to me with his caressing words, “ Hey Munivar, I accept your heartfelt and sincere prayer. After about 7,000 years a very pious soul is going to incarnate on the Earth for the salvation of people. An extremely sacred place is required for deep realizations for this exclusive and extremely pious soul. Think and tell me about one such appropriate place which will be befitting for that soul. Where ever there is penance done should be appropriate.”
I told God, “Kindly give me such a later life so that I can serve that pure and pious soul.”
With my will so very strong and the desire so uncompromising to do intense penance because of which I chose to become and be born as a Banyan Tree; since it is only the Banyan Tree whose longevity is thousands of years!
I lived a long life of 100 years as a rishi and when the environment was conducive, my spirit entered a banyan tree in Lumbini and I waited for a very long time for Bhagwan Buddha to arrive. I made my long wait and hiatus my tapasya and sadhana. When Bhagwan Buddha was born, there was bright light on the land and I understood that my tapasya will soon yield result. One day I saw Gautam Buddha, who had a divine insight while walking here and he himself came and sat under the banyan tree. When God’s dazzling Light fell on him, some of it fell on me too and I got the consideration and returns of my tapas.
Gautam Buddha lived a long life of 93 years. He suffered a lot in mind and body so that even if not many, but just a few could be awakened in Spirit. But there are only a handful people who truly love God. Typically, people come to God only to mitigate their sorrows and meet their needs and then they return to their lives and homes.
Mahavatar Babaji is also working selflessly and serving the humans so that their progress in Spirit is possible. But the evolution of human race is at an extremely slow pace. The reason of the slackened pace is their lack of desire. Only if the human being has an intense desire to free himself that it is possible to carry out such a vivid change. Nobody can stop us from unfolding our full potential. When satguru reveals us the Truth, we must follow it and practice every teaching with sincerity. Practice with regularity. Practice any technique or method but your goal must be the highest. Detect your aberrations, weakness and vices and relinquish them permanently.
One life is not enough for our progress. So complete the unfinished task in this life itself and create your next life so that your future life has only God, human service and love, peace and joy.
Pay attention to every word that is uttered by Mahavatar Babaji who speaks in favour of your highest welfare and concern for the whole world. Co-operate and help him in making this earth peaceful, joyous, clean, green and prosperous in all natural resources. For it to materialize, have pure thoughts, do unselfish acts and dedicate this life for the sake of God. I bless you all, my children. Do good to others, do yagya of love. Babaji is a very, very pure soul. Help him in his global vision.”
Part C
Dear readers, on the next day, Babaji was as usual benevolent to decipher the vision of the spectrum of three colours- yellow, orange and white which I had seen and could not interpret. The compassionate Master admitted that indeed Maharishi Agastya was an ancient soul and has been doing tapas for more than 75,000 years. He then unfolded a greater mystery which left me contented and enriched for the next several days. He revealed that-
“Light comes to us in the form of wisdom and knowledge. Try and attempt to have more and more of that. Expand your Consciousness and widen your spiritual knowledge. Give Light and wisdom to others.
Once the Spirit unfolds in us and you know Atma, there are three levels of aspiration and heights to accomplish after that. In accordance, there are three types of gyan or wisdom – Teevra gyan, Prachand gyan and Prabhutva gyan. When we translate that, it means wisdom that is intense, very intense and most intense respectively. In between these three stages there are other sub -stages of spiritual and God’s wisdom. Now let’s look at the age of the Banyan Tree in Lumbini. It is very ancient and 8,500 years old. The wisdom given to us by this sacred and ancient tree is intense. It is called teevra gyan, intense wisdom as we call it.
Maharishi Agastya has done tapas for 75,000 years. He has wisdom and knowledge that is very intense- prachand gyan. What he has kindly bestowed on you all is prachand gyan.
My existence since my first birth and origin is some lakh years old ( sorry, I cannot reveal the exact figure) Hence my wisdom and spiritual knowledge is Prabhutva gyan which means extremely intense or blazing knowledge. Prabhutva gyan is rarest of rare and is attained with lakhs of years of tapas and is extremely exclusive.”

Part A
Maharishi Agastya’s blessed words of insight and ancient knowledge once more-
“Those souls who have been living in this universe for a very, very long time are a treasure and store house of earth’s as well as man’s history. Just imagine how much we have seen, how much we have known and imagine how many eras, epochs and time cycles we have witnessed.
The time that was followed after the creation of the Earth, was very heavenly and delightful. There was no insufficiency or deficiency. Slowly, with time the population of humans increased and the trees were felled. The deterioration and destruction on the earth is due to human follies and lack of sight and vision.
Once Africa was very prosperous in vegetation and animal life but pride and arrogance combined with greed depleted its resources. There were more sins than virtuous acts committed. The more faith we have in God, the more gladness and happiness generated around. Whenever the sins of man exceed on this earth, God has to send a very luminous soul to re-establish Truth and Dharma called Avatar to remind us of the eternal knowledge and truth that advocates having compassion on all living beings, loving all, doing good to all and helping all men. Where ever there is a surge of wrongful acts, there is disturbance, remorse, unrest and disorder and people are in agony and pain. The luminous souls or Avatars as they are called incarnate and give their punyas or meritorious karmas to Mother Earth and that in return brings back peace, order, cheerfulness and love. Dharma or righteousness and Truth are re-established. If we also add something as our contribution towards this objective and mission of the Avatar or other realized souls and dharmatmas, then their workload shall be eased. The positive rays of Divine Light emitted by them generate peace, happiness, greenery and relaxation to the tensed minds on the Earth.
We must always remember our duties towards our country and to God. Family duties can also be somehow managed; it is not a big issue. When we work for God, our household and family responsibilities are taken care by God itself- “Sarvadharmanparityajaya mamekam sharanam vraja”
Maharishi Agastya continued with his flow of divine words after giving me a glimpse of the sacred light and knowledge. He said, “The human by nature is constricted and restricted; it likes dullness, timidity and obscurity. When he gets light in the form of wisdom, he does not accept it. Knowledge of God and Self is eternal and we must attempt to attain it. Knowledge is Light, with knowledge we get to see God.”
Part B
Mahavatar Babaji’s golden drops of divine words in meditation-
Incessant grace of revd. His Holiness Mahavatar Babaji once more. He enlightened me by throwing so much light on areas which are out of purview of average human mind and my day became so much richer. He began by saying-
“What you are going to receive from me now is because of the good karmas of your many lives. This is ‘prasad,’ grace from god to you and you must share it with all.
After self-knowledge, a seeker transcends and attains three stages of further development, one by one if he has the will and desire to attain, ichcha shakti that is.
1st stage- After self realization, there is a stable state of sustaining peace. The mind’s agitation stops and one is calm most of the time.
2nd stage- The stage of Om. Continued sound of Om, which is divine sound is heard in meditation or otherwise by the meditator.
3rd stage-During meditation many times the culminating stage is also touched, the stage of thoughtlessness called shunya or void, a state of Pure being.
The meditator passes from one stage to another and after long practice of concentration and meditation and Guru’s grace, he stabilizes in one such stage and then shifts to the higher one. The mind and body have to be prepared and fine tuned for such higher stages. Right diet, enough sleep and regular exercise are of prime importance. Ayurvedic medicines such as Brahmi, Ashwagandha, Shatavari are good brain tonics. Foods such as amla, almonds, nuts, milk and milk products, fresh fruits and vegetables play a vital role in nourishing and recharging the nerve cells and channels (Refer Food and breath control) Head and body massage with a nourishing and rejuvenating oil and aromatherapy are also helpful to a great extent and are supportive in creating a healthy well being.” He went further ahead by saying the what is mentioned in the oldest Vedas-the Rig Veda.
“When the Universe was not born, what was there?
Shunya- void, emptiness, nothing .
When the Universe was created, there was peace, tranquility, coolness and purity.
Sound of Om reverberated in the atmosphere as there was so much tranquility. There were dense forests and thick vegetation. In thick vegetation, the sound of Om flows naturally. As excessive deforestation began, gradually the state of Om deteriorated and it came down to the first stage of shanti or peaceful state. As and as the number of people increased, the forests were cut, rivers shrinked or vanished, the ice from the snow mountains melted. Drastic changes took place on the Earth because of adharma or sinful ways of living.
In a world full of people, there is chaos and commotion in the atmosphere. The thoughts that float in the space clash with each other and it becomes harder to meditate upon God in modern world. The relentless noise of traffic, people and machines add to the disturbance in the atmosphere.
The Earth is a unit, one house, it is one. Do not think in terms of country or community, see the Earth as one planet and think and see the planet as a whole, it is yours. At the moment, our Earth is passing through the lowest level where the rate of unrighteousness, sins, lust for money, greed in on the surge and increasing everyday. This trend should be reversed and we must make our planet greener, more peaceful and pious once again.”
Babaji concluded very beautifully when he took me to greater heights as he told me-“Those who wish to soar higher and touch new heights should follow this blog and they will realize the power of God. There is road beyond self realization, the latter is a phase, a sojourn in the very long path of the pilgrimage and we need not stop here.
After we get to self realization, the second stage is of Knowledge of Atman which should be attained. The next stage of Cosmic Consciousness or Virat Swaroop is followed after knowing Atman. God is eternal, indestructible, know Him. Expand your thinking, limits and do good to yourself.
There are many depths and levels of peace. Profound peace, intense peace and limitless peace.
There are several levels of knowledge too. Move onwards.
Reach the thoughtless state, the state of perfect perfection!
If you reach the state of shunya void, you will be able to unfold all the mysteries of nature.
There are several stages of bliss or ananda also. There is no limit or boundary for it.
Human is unable to attain great degree of perfection mainly because of his social commitments and obligations. Break the barrier of all layers of ego. Free your mind from very old pattern of habits and sanskaras.
And don’t forget to pray and meditate regularly for the good of all- living as well as non- living beings.”
The procedure and progression of knowing our soul-I
30.01.13
I reached the Himalayas and saw Gangotri and the white temple there and I also saw the thick foliage of evergreen trees on the nearby mountains. A voice began to talk to me telepathically, “ I am Ganga, my sacred waters give life to millions. Many years ago, when I used to flow, there were such lovely, beautiful dense forests growing where ever I flowed on my way. Today there are no forests and green jungles, but only concrete buildings. Uptil Haridwar, my water is still clean but after that it becomes despoiled. Do you know why? I replied, “No, I dont know Ma.” She answered,“That’s because my water does not flow freely from there on, it becomes stagnant.”
I did namaskar to Ma Gange and tried to solve the riddle. Why did Ma Ganga tell me all this? What am I to do with this information. Am I not clean yet? These thoughts ran across my mind immediately. As I was struggling with myself…
Just then I saw a small white temple which had a spacious room with white walls. Inside the room was a big white idol of Lord Vishnu holding the conchshell, shankh and a mace in one hand and in another sudarshan chakra wearing a garland of white lilies and a few red roses. There was a beam of white light filtering in the temple from the left corner of a roof and slanting rays were falling on the idol of Lord Vishnu thus making the visual so sacred and wonderful. It gave me immense joy to see such a holy scene before my fortunate eyes. This was the first time I had a darshan of Vishnu Bhagwan. I felt extremely fortunate because Vishnu Sahastranaam is my favourite tribute to Lord Krishna.
I tried to connect these two visions occuring one after the other quickly but could not gather anything. My curiosity was immediately satisfied when in an instant the idol of Lord Vishnu vanished and in its place I saw Mahavatar Babaji standing there in his usual appearance. I was stupefied at the turn of events and the variety of scenes rolling out before my eyes like a slide show on the computer screen. Comprehending my problem, Babaji said, “Start the next post now. One’s Consciousness need not only be raised, it should also be widened and expanded.” He gave me a few examples of attachment, anger and greed that some people possesses around me and showed me the harmful effects these vices have over their lives.
Do you remember the post of Super Consciousness-I in which I had told you that there are many Himalayan Yogis meditating and doing tapas in the caves out there? One day, in the morning when I was contemplating about this post, my mind got connected with one such ascetic living in the cave of Uttaranchal. He told me that he has been meditating there since the past thirteen years and has not come out of the cave ever since. The requirement of the sunshine is fulfilled by some Yogic Kriya and he is atoning his bad karmas of unkindness, ego and arrogance. He told me that attachment of a sadhu is worse than that of a householder. The sannyasi or sadhu has an ego which is undetectable by him and others as well and such a person has severe attachment to his monastery, disciples and his position. It takes a lot for them to accept that humility is superior to monkhood and that accepting other people and their views is a virtue. He himself had been arrogant and harsh when he was living in the normal world and with great difficulty has accepted his mistakes. Mahavatar Babaji’s supple guidance and unconditional love has changed him forever and he has realized the importance of unconditional love for all beings. “Those who are practicing Yoga, Pranayam or Kriya must try to look deeper inside themselves and seek Guru’s guidance in scraping off hidden subtle ego lurking inside them.”
I heard God speaking inside me and the Voice began to explain to me the sacred knowledge hidden within this verse in Bhagwad Geeta in the sacred hour. The Voice of God said-
“Bhagwad Geeta originated during the time of warfare and bloodshed when Arjun’s heart was filled with remorse and compassion as he did not want to kill anyone. He detested bloodshed and completely surrendered to God in spite of knowing that victory was his without any doubt because Krishna was with them. God was very pleased with Arjuna and responded and spoke to him through Krishna. Krishna became the medium through which God gave the eternal, shashwat knowledge to Arjuna. God’s responds unconditionally to sincere prayers and pure hearts.
The world or sansara that we live in and see around us is eternal and the ignorance of man is also primitive and eternal since the first man was born many, many centuries ago. The physical world is temporary and illusory, it is like a bubble in an ocean. The ocean is the Universal Self or God. God is eternal, limitless and infinite. We are born here many times and every time we come here we are in a state of dream or sleep. When we dream, we are in delusion. Delusion can be broken when we attain knowledge of Self with self realization. For that we must go to an enlightened Guru who breaks our delusion and gives us the eternal knowledge of Self. The Vedas contain the knowledge of eternal Self. The knowledge of Self is also eternal like the world or sansara. We must acquire this knowledge. The Guru takes mercy on us and shows us many of our important past incarnations that we have lived so far as a proof that indeed we have lived so many lives only dreaming and did not know the Truth.
With constant help and guidance of the Guru, each and every cell of our brain is illumined with continuous spiritual practices and master’s touch over a good period of time. Normally, humans use very little portion of the brain in a life time. As the dormant memory cells are recharged, we can do past life regression. We get over with our very old unwanted tendencies and habits, and the memory of our Soul is kindled. Eventually, as we progress on our path, we get enlightenment of the Soul once all the dormant cells are functional and used optimally after recharging them with Divine energy in the form of Light. But the ignorant man’s brain is shut as the nerve cells are clogged with ignorance and dark particles. For the enlightened, God is eternal and always present while for the ignorant, the power of God is unknown and false power of self or ego is always prevalent. This is the main difference between the two categories of people.
The analogy of a Banyan Tree is used as a metaphor to explain this. It can be explained on two levels- body and mind. First on body level- the parts of a Banyan Tree can be compared to that of our body. The roots of the tree are the parts that hold it firmly to the ground. They are like our feet holding us firmly on the ground . The legs and trunk of the body are comparable to the trunk of the tree. Our hands are compared to the branches. The canopy of the tree is the head of a human body and the roots dangling from the canopy are our matted hair.
On the second and higher level, we compare the upper part of the tree to the upper part of our body- the human brain. As explained just a little while ago, that the canopy of the tree looks similar to the brain of a man. It is similar in shape and anatomy. The leaves of the Banyan Tree are like the cells of the brain and the veins in the leaves are the nadis or veins in our body. The cells in the body have memory engrained in them called smriti. As we live in this sansara for too long, we forget God and believe the world to be real. This is vismriti or forgetfulness of God. Smriti and vismriti both are in the brain and the memory of God should be revived gradually with the eternal knowledge of Self or Atman with Guru’s guidance. Behind the memory or smriti is God. We must reach uptil here where the memory, smriti of our divinity is re-awakened. At the last stage of evolution, the remembrance of God is real, God is real, God’s personality real, God’s power and existence as real in contrast to the existence of our false ego.
And finally there is one more part of the interpretation of this shloka which when combined with all the explanations before makes it complete and final.

Ashwattha is the other name of Banyan Tree. Ashwattha means shashwat, that never ends, eternal.
There are two types of men in this world those who know and those who do not know- The gyani and agyani respectively. Majority of people come in this world without knowing who has created them and this world and get completely entangled in the maya jal the webmire of maya or delusion. They repeatedly come in this world because of their vasanas or desires for physical world and are therefore called ignorant and compared to an inverted Banyan Tree in this shloka. The falling roots upside down are the roots of ignorance in the inverted tree. They are contrary to what they should be ideally and therefore the tree is shown upside down.
While the wise men, come in this world, do not get too entangled, go to a guru, take Vedic or esoteric knowledge from him, cut down the branches of their ignorance with an axe of wisdom and are compared with a Banyan Tree which stands firmly on its roots and is absolutely grounded. Those men who have knowledge of God are firmly grounded and do not get swayed with the storms of enticing maya.
So much for the explanation of the verse 1 of Geeta chapter 15.
In the end, God asked me,” Do you know that there is a Banayan Tree which is more than eight thousand years old? Have you seen it? ” I thought for a while and looked around every where mentally and thought of a few places. ActuallyI did not know that a tree can live up to eight thousand years, leave alone know one! God enlightened me, “There is one such Banyan Tree, the Boddhi tree in Lumbini under which Gautam Buddha attained prachand prakash intense light. It is the only tree which is so ancient. It is now 8,056.5 years old. Mahavatar Babaji can be compared to this Boddhi tree, so eternal, so timeless and so ancient. Such trees are never uprooted even in the strongest of wind, earthquakes or storms and are always stongly grounded. You are a very blessed soul because you are writing all this about him. Pay your homage and tribute to an ageless, timeless, immortal soul who has been living for more than 1,8oo years to serve my children.”

Mother Earth.
“My dear children, this earth was created out of sheer divine love by Divine Father. In a moment of intense love out of his Thought, this Earth was created. Our Earth has all the elements, all the resources to sustain life for billions of years to come. This Earth also has waves of unlimited thoughts of people living here. These thoughts form a blanket over our planet and can be seen by the astral or divine eyes of the illumined souls in the uppermost regions of the celestial skies.
There are two types of thoughts that comprise this blanket- the good and positive thoughts which act as rays of positive energy and are helpful in sustaining this planet. The others are the contrary thoughts- they are negative and destructive thoughts which are an impediment in building, sustaining and maintaining the Earth. Whenever the negative rays exceed the positive rays, there is divine intervention from the celestial skies from the living divine souls who are ordained by God to maintain the balance of Dharma and Adharma– Truth and falsehood. The golden rays from the celestial skies fall on the Earth which are refracted and received at the spot where it was aimed at. When this happens, very slowly the wheel of dharma begins to rotate and spins till the balance is again restored.
In practical terms it means that when divine light falls in places where there is a lot of adharma, there may be sudden or violent changes which when allowed to happen create positive results in future. Bad elements are removed; new positive drastic changes take place on the earth; and truth, goodness and happiness restored.
We must be an instrument and a participant in such good moves inspite of mental fatigue, physical weariness and lack of vision. God is behind all this drama and we must attempt to achieve success in such endeavours.
Peace and love are two things without which this Earth cannot survive. So spread love and peace in every possible means and methods to create the ever joyous planet.”

S-“Who deserve enlightenment?”
G-“Those who suffer in this Maya, illusion and who after many incarnations take shelter in God. God directs them to their predestined Guru, who is a recipient of God’s incessant Grace.”
S-“Why does man reincarnate repeatedly?” (Read Why is Atman difficult to know?)
G-“ Because the thinking power of man is abysmal low and he does not improve the power of his thoughts.”
S- “Why does man not improve his thought power?”
G-“Because man’s existing thought power is already so low. Based on his present poor thought power, he creates new karmas which hurl him down further and hence in this way there is no way by which he can be raised. But God is concerned about us. God is always anxious and eager that somehow we must rise in Atman, in Spirit because God cannot see our suffering.”
S-“And how does God help us?”
G-“God helps us indirectly since we are not ready and prepared to connect and deal directly with Him. Those souls who are awake in Spirit, who are called our Spiritual teachers and Masters, God communicates through them. The Masters illustrate the divine path because they are always in unison with God.”( Also refer ‘The power of praying intensely’)
S-“How does the guru help us?”
G-“The thoughts or sanklap of the guru are in agreement and unity with God. They have unlimited force in them. Whenever someone with a clean heart, with a pure feeling sends out a prayer or appeal or a humble request to God, that prayer or request after touching God, first of all reaches the divine guru. The guru after God’s approval sends out divine thought vibrations which travel in the Universe. The thought waves in Cosmic Consciousness are acknowledged by us if we are prepared. So establish a strong bond with the divine guru with your mind and then establish yourself in Atman. Their powers will give you profound peace and you will become very strong in mind and deeds. After this happens, the seeker begins to think on Universal level and does good for the Universe. In this situation, God is too pleased with such souls.
Jan kalyan Vishwa kalyan, srishti kalyan, vriksha aaropan, Vishwa shanti ki prarthana se Bhagwan bahut prassan hota hai.
With prayers sent out for the world’s welfare, planet’s wellbeing, for peace and happiness for all, acts of doing afforestation, God is extremely delighted. Without even asking for anything in return by us, God gives us everything in abundance, all our desires are nourished and we begin to touch new heights in spiritual growth and improvement.”

Swami Nityananda of Ganeshpuri gave me my next lesson when he very sweetly explained, “To increase the power of your thought, remain peaceful all the time. Peace is achieved when we do noble and pious actions. When evil or unharmonious deeds are performed, the guilty is punished with unhappiness and cheerlessness. Joy is derived by doing good deeds. Plus actions performed consciously with a noble vision leads a soul to higher awareness and clean consciousness. Actions performed with powerful thoughts of nation building, looking after the needs of all the people, of environment and ecology of one’s nation and world, taking consideration and care of all living beings will produce and generate new power to your thoughts. If you do powerful new karmas today, progressively your mind will get stronger and more powerful as each day passes.
Very strong and positive mind will create a new ‘shrishti,’ a new world for you. If more and more people do pious and generous actions, the collective thought Power of the world will increase many times. The mission of all the saints is to increase the collective thought power of masses in all nations and it begins at individual level.
You initiate this act from today. As one’s sanchit karmas are extinguished with the grace of God and the gurus, the power of thoughts increases manifold. All the shakti of the manas or mind should be oriented and focused in doing only selfless actions- nishkam karmas. The power of nishkami purush is so much higher and has more potential than others. The results of our actions are in God’s hands. When we decide and dedicate all our pious actions to God, God and our Gurus are extremely pleased and give us more shakti, their power to do nishkami karmas. Thus each good action is born with a good thought. Increase such good thoughts and also increase the power of each thought by meditation daily.
Meditation leads to contemplation. Contemplation leads to Self-Enquiry which in turn leads to Self Realization and Self Transformation.
Strike a balance between meditation that is- self transformation and practical life that is -actions. To increase your thought power you must do both, both are essential for your inner growth and progress. The gurus will tell you how to solve the riddle of this complicated world as one is always puzzled at its bewildered state. Do not be afraid of taking a variety of experiences as experiences will give you practical knowledge. Experience is your master. Guru’s protective hand is always at the back.
Do your duty of meditating as the mind can become powerful only if it is devised to generate its own energies and to unite with the powers of the gurus and God. Those who are enabled to strike a balance between actions and meditation will grow in body, spirit and mind.”
After a few days, Swami Nityananda again gave me respite when I was hit with a wave of tumult. His timely guidance was this-“People think that if our life becomes more comfortable and prosperous we shall automatically attain peace. Nothing can be more untrue than this because if you have peace, then everything is alright. ‘Hansa ’ means durable peace, not freckled and fickle. If your mind is calm, then the thoughts are powerful. Words, thoughts originating from peace are always beneficial.
Sometimes disturbances from outside are so overwhelming that our sustained peace gets upset. If you have lost your peace, regain it and stay in a peaceful state of mind. Practice meditation and one needs practice of holding on to sustained and durable peace. In such a situation, start your ‘japa’ and other practices so that the mind again becomes tranquil and gets relief. When the mind gets relief, it will be able to meditate deeply. The outside world is in a feverish state-noisy, restless and agitated, ascertain it. Get involved in it only as much as is essential, leave the rest like the saline water of the ocean.
Practice living in peace like that of Lake Mansarovar. For such intense peace, stay in seclusion, turn the mind inwards and continue doing your sadhana. If you continuously put your mind in God, a great deal of power will flow in your thoughts and you can do impossible tasks”.
The role of ‘power of will’ in a seeker’s life-I
30.04.11
After some moments, Babaji gave me the outline of this post and gave these useful tips for all the spiritual seekers. His advice for which we are always so grateful, should be followed so that we review ourselves from time to time and add some charge and spark to our sadhana and in life in general.
He said to me, “The power of will or Ichcha shakti is the driving force, the initiative force present in all of us. In normal world it is useful to start and initiate a goal, a purpose, a mission or any other task.
But for a seeker, the role of will power or ichcha shakti is much higher than one can understand or acknowledge. The bondage of recurring cycles of birth and death can never be broken by any soul unless he or she has a will to do it. Even God’s help or grace comes to us when we create and initiate that will in us to free ourselves. The soul spends lives after lives reincarnating groping in the dark without spiritual wisdom and spiritual growth if he does not initiate and use his latent power of will.
And those seekers who are already traversing now will reach a stage when they do not make substantial growth. Those seekers if they search for answers within, will recognize that they have yet not had the desire or the will to move up and step up their spiritual efforts and hence they are where they were times ago. Hence if they now kindle a desire, a blazing will not to dwindle or languish, they must in moments of stillness and calmness express their will to Omnipresent God.”
Qualities of a real seeker
20.08.11
Part A
That morning, I had prayed to God to tell me how can I continue serving them in spite of my overtly disrupted routine and kindly let me know what is it that I must now begin to write for the next post so that all those who are following the blog sincerely may get their answers; their doubts should be dispelled and they should get over their shortcomings as quickly as possible. The response came in instantly in this poem which flowed without a break as I kept on writing in my diary.
After the wisdom filled poem, Swami Dayananda Shaligram spoke these following golden words for all the seekers, whether they are just the beginners or have advanced much higher on the spiritual step ladder. A disciple, he said should have these qualities if he/she wishes to open the door of the kingdom of God.
“Control the senses by controlling your mind. Once the mind is controlled, the senses automatically come under our control.
It is the manas, or the mana , our mind that first wanders and then proliferates further in worldly affairs and material stickiness. Beware of its nature of proliferation. We have come here to wind up our sansara, to tie up the loose ends and conclude our accumulated karmas done over past so many lives. Instead we are spreading out, diversifying and expanding our physical and material worlds. The mind should be hooked and anchored to the mind of the Guru or God whatever the state of the disciple is and not become dull because of constant rubbing in of worldly matters. The more time the mind is immersed in thoughts of God, the lesser it will trouble you.
So not controlling the mind can prove to be detrimental and create more diversions for the mind. Because we have done so much wandering in so many lives that it becomes difficult to control and bring the mind to rest by meditating now. Also the mind refuses to budge and cannot be controlled by any tool or method for the reason that it has become a habit for it to fritter, chatter or just be malicious and negative.
It takes a lot of time and unrelenting effort and persistence to master the mind but even your slightest effort adds up to the bank balance of your good karmas. So practice some form of mind taming by controlling it by various types of spiritual and mind training methods and techniques available to you. You may practice anything, but do it regularly and sincerely over a considerable time period to get results.
There is peace inside us. Our mind must be made peaceful so that its peace helps us to realize God within us. No matter what practice you perform, never give up until you get the desired results. It is ‘tamas’ or dullness in us which stops us and hinders our spiritual growth. To avoid that, do not postpone your spiritual duties; perform all your daily duties and do no waste your time in negative or unproductive thinking. Perform actions which are helpful in your spiritual goals by saving time everyday.”
Part B
When some amazing moments passed by, I felt so privileged when I heard the tree talking with me once again, “Do you think I would have let you go to Bombay with this kind of weariness? You are doing selfless tasks most of the day after finishing your personal duties and so you must benefit from me. Now inhale deeply a few more times and store that vital force inside your brain to be used up for writing the next article. I too wish to serve Mahavatar Babaji in his mission by giving you prana instantly so that you can use it for his blog.” I was gratified as I felt so very humbled to have got a shot in the arm with fresh air and I bloomed and revived like a sunflower which was drooping in absence of the Sun!
Keeping that intention and sankalpa in my view, I inhaled deeply all the fresh air surrounding me along with the blessings bestowed as I prayed and wished quietly in my heart that all the readers who happen to read this post must also get the special mental force bestowed on me. Instantly reading my mind, at this point the holy tree said, “On your next post due on 20th Aug, put a picture of a red hibiscus flower, the red hibiscus which is blooming on that bush next to me. Pluck not the one that your eyes see easily but the one that is just below it and the one which is hardly visible to anyone. That one is sacred and has tremendous energy, it will give you and your blog subtle pranic energy.
Genuine saints never exhibit their real divine powers; they keep their siddhis or extraordinary divine powers a secret because they do not like to flaunt them, just like this red beautiful flower. I revealed to you its hidden subtle powers of subtle energies. But people are ignorant and foolish, just because the good souls are extremely humble and refuse to flaunt their divine powers, they are not respected.
Whatever comes from God is sacred; whatever is sacred should be revered. If you show no respect to your teacher or Guru, you will make errors after errors and consequently you will not get bliss and real joy from God. So tell all the readers to read each word with reverence and instill full faith and devotion in the givers.
This blog has unrestricted yet incomprehensible divine, supreme knowledge bestowed by the compassionate Grace of Shri Mahavatar Babaji. It is timeless and priceless; realize its value and worth. Don’t squander your valuable time in unproductive actions and activities. Contemplate on every word that is being said here, value the time and energy being spent on creating this blog and respect all those who have made it possible. By showing reverence and devotion to those, you shall appreciate and comprehend the hidden knowledge preserved in it, secreted yet disclosed in these words. The Mahatmas are ever waiting for you to change your behavior and wrong actions and have compassion for you yet the human takes infinite time to turn his mischievous mind towards divine qualities. Therefore, do not hesitate to peep inside your inner being and throw out all the trash and negative thoughts and habits like anger, ego, envy, pride, lack of humility and gratitude.”
As if this was not enough, the kind Banyan Tree unfolded yet another secreted piece of scientific knowledge of Yogic world. He revealed to me, “And for those who are real devotees and are seriously practicing meditation I want them to know this- the more prana or vital force you have, the more you will be able to meditate. The higher realms of spiritual kingdom can be accessed with the blessing of the divine guru and high level of fine energy called sukhshma prana.
The more Iccha shakti you have, the more prana your body will contain effortlessly. If you have a strong will or Iccha shakti, the more prana you shall have from prakriti or nature because of which you will be able to meditate more deeply. We can draw in prana mentally from nature in meditation for this purpose. If you meditate on a healthy or holy tree situated anywhere, you can draw huge ‘prana’ while sitting at home when you focus your mind deeply on such a sanctified and revered tree; while staying at home, you shall be revived. Iccha shakti is vital to improve your power of meditation. Therefore improve and increase your power of will.”
Our lost rich heritage-III
30.11.11
That night first I saw a Banyan Tree which was copious in form and sturdy in its built. In a flash of a moment, it left the ground on which it was standing and stood firmly on my abdomen. In no time, I felt a lot of energy around me and I was completely revitalized as though I had a walk in a thick forest so full of fresh revitalizing air. Though I recognized the tree, I still wanted to clear my doubts and I questioned it. “Are you the same Banyan Tree that I saw at the entrance at Guruvannam?” It said yes to me and in an instance it began to acquaint me about the spirit world. It said, “I am guarding this place and am about 326 years old in age. Our ecosystem is in danger because we have no reverence for nature and we have disregard for the sanctity of our own planet. Everyone must contribute in physical form, be it physical activity or monetary help for the reason that we owe our life to Mother Earth. Therefore, appreciation and gratitude towards forests, birds, animals and all living beings must be maintained.
People think that just because trees, animals and birds are mute, they can be meted out with any bad attitude and behavior by humans. All trees, animals and birds have their own Spirit. When you cut down a tree, you are taking away a life. Nature is made to serve everybody and serve the utility purpose of humans. Even if you have to cut down a tree you must only do so when it is extremely essential and with prior permission of God as well as the Spirit of the tree itself. Trees also bless you. And they curse you if you loot the Earth mercilessly for greed and avarice. The poor quality of man on this Earth today is due to greed and avarice of majority of people. But there are some who are doing commendable job of restoring the Earth by bringing about harmony, stability and afforestation by restoring the ecosystem and biodiversity in nature.
The tree then began to speak to me with a clear message, “Degradation of the planet is because of greed of millions of people and restoration is by very few individuals. Those who have regards and faith in their spiritual masters will repay them through some service to the Earth by educating those who are dirtying the environment, by greening it, by reducing the carbon levels, increasing oxygen content and correspondingly reducing pollution levels. Reduce non biodegradable things in the atmosphere. Be a spiritual man and not a materialistic person. Finally, send out prayers and meditation vibrations for preserving our planet. If the planet survives, we continue to survive.”
Reincarnation-II
30.05.12
Poise returned. Meditation is therapeutic; it is my medicine, an answer book and my source of undiluted serenity and joyfulness. I rested in composer for a sustained time when out of that imposing peace sprang these divine words….
“About reincarnation or rebirth……People take lives after lives, births after births. They go on living each life without ever wanting to have a desire to accumulate wisdom, spiritual wisdom in true sense. Their mind likes to live in ignorance although it stagnates and eventually putrefies. Each life is a waste of breaths, millions of breaths. In every life the same ignorance is repeated. The layers of darkness, the opaqueness remains intact because of clutching to money, sex, power, material possessions and other Earthly objects. Greed creates new births each degrading than the previous ones. This cycle must stop if you wish to put an end to all the mental and physical sufferings and endless woes and troubles. They will end only if you have spiritual wisdom.
And how does spiritual wisdom come to us?
By constantly doing good deeds, high quality, and unselfish deeds. Deeds that give others happiness, that help people who are in real need. Deeds that will save or regenerate our planet and deeds that will spread goodness and peace around you.
By having devotion and trust towards God.
By serving the Gurus in unconditional manner.
God is very generous, kind and extremely compassionate. We are given life after life. Each life is a chance to reform, to realize, to awaken, to redeem our souls. Our each birth is to enliven the Spirit in us.
We reincarnate so that we gain spiritual wisdom one day, we unfold God’s presence and divinity in us. We reincarnate to sparkle, to dazzle our lives and live our lives with God given acumen, judgement and knowledge. If each human life is lived with God’s grace for the welfare of the humanity, to seek true love of God then reincarnation is a boon, a gift, and a reward from God. If you do so, you are God’s pride, God’s delight!
Reincarnation is useful for those who are pious, merciful, benevolent and free in Spirit. It is bane for those who love darkness, who do deplorable acts, who are naïve and think that actions performed will not be rewarded or punished. And that their actions which are based on arrogance, deceit, hypocrisy, false self-importance, greed, envy and restlessness will give them victory over others. Life is miserable for those who think that the more they possess the desirable objects, the happier they would be.
Reincarnation should be used to flower your soul, to blossom the Spirit, to strengthen the character and be successful in personal empowerment and spiritual growth in every life!
Life is beautiful, human life is precious. Each breath is priceless, each moment expensive. Pray to God to open your eyes, to flood your mind with His wisdom, to give you one lesson each day to know your Spirit and to teach you how to live in pure Love and Light in every incarnation that is bestowed on you as sheer Grace given by God, as mercy from the Almighty Father, the benefactor of Truth, Light and Love.”
Blessing as Self-Realization-I
30.08.13
I began to float lightly in the Cosmic Universe inundated in God’s peace besieged by quietude. I held on to this Supreme gift cravingly and felt even lighter than ever before.
Once the mind is free of all the earthly bindings after cleansing and baptising in the holy waters of ever pure Spirit, it can reach anywhere and it can connect easily to other Spirits straightaway with ease with God’s will, because in the ethereal space there is One Universal Mind and we are all connected.
After this, I promptly got connected to the voice of one forest’s Spirit in the European countries. The soul of that forest arrived unpredictably on its own just after the previous one departed and said, “I am the Soul of a forest in United Kingdom.” Sensing my bewilderment, it said, ”Yes, even forests have Spirits or Souls. This particular forest has a lot of peace. I am gifting you instantaneous healing from the physical discomfort that you are afflicted with at this moment as you have received the bad vibrations of some malicious people living around you. Your unselfish prayers for saving the people from natural calamity have earned you this gift of healing and my undecided sudden appearance.”
My mind raced and thought rapidly before I anticipated I would lose my most unexpected contact with the Spirit of this Forest. So I swiftly asked myself, “What unknown knowledge of the concealed Spirit can I, on the spur of the moment receive from a Soul of a Forest which is engrained with so much peace?” So far I had never communicated directly with the Spirit of a forest, I knew though that all forests, mountains and rivers have a Soul of its own. They all have a guardian as these Spirits. The Spirits are caretakers of the assigned areas for their growth, nurture and protection. Immaculately came the impeccable reply to my running thought, “All the trees in a forest have an individual soul of its own and they emit peaceful vibrations in this forest. All the trees collectively emit united tranquillity and peace. Each forest has its appointed deity or celestial entity which has a Spirit of its own. It is the responsibility of this forest Spirit to safeguard the longevity and protection of that forest. These Spirits bless or curse humans according to the good or bad actions performed by them correspondingly. The looters, poachers and corrupt people are cursed and are dealt with severely and punished in many ways in due course of time. While the gentle, caring, kind and humane people are congruently rewarded and blessed in so many benevolent ways now and in future lives also in the form of health, happiness and prosperity.
Civil and social unrest may be because of religious, political or cultural conflicting issues, devouring peace of some regions and places of the world. Out of so many ways, one way of establishing lingering peace in such zones is by growing and nurturing forests and trees in a big number. Every human- being must definitely at least once in his life grow many trees somehow. That person will attain instant peace of mind. By planting a large number of trees, a thick cover of peace will blanket this Earth and in moments of human strife, it will act as a buffer in that place. It will make a huge difference there. In case where unfortunately, communal riots and disharmony are struck, peace shall be resumed quicker than usual time because of the forests and trees transmitting quietness, coolness and serenity in the atmosphere. One unknown reason of losing peace from this Earth is felling and losing of colossal number of big, green trees very swiftly from it.”
Blessing as Self Realization-II
10.09.12
The blessing came as Self Realization during my meditation in Swami Shri Dayananda Shaligram’s temple there. He blessed me with a lot of peace as I sat there for quite some time with my still and restful body and mind. Once I absorbed that heavenly peace and felt so good, he set out to give me a long discourse as elucidation.
“There are hardly 25% people in this whole world who know that peace is very essential in our lives. The rest of 75% people are mean, rude, harsh, greedy and selfish. Out of these 25% people who make an effort to gain peace, merely 2% succeed. Peace should be sustainable. To achieve that sustainable peace of mind, there is first strife. After strife and storm comes peace. One has to strive hard to eliminate all the undeserving people, circumstances or events in one’s daily life to gain permanent peace of mind.
Lord Krishna made all possible efforts to bring about peace without a war between the Kauravas and Pandavas but did not succeed because of arrogant and selfish attitude of Duryodhana who did not want peace but instead wanted to avenge his insult and craved to rule the kingdom singlehandedly without sharing the rights of the Pandavas. And so there was a war between the two parties. Arjuna and others had to go through the unbearable painful strife in order to gain peace in their lives. Mahabharat war was fought for bringing about peace in the land.
Only 2% people gain success in attaining long-lasting and sustainable peace in their lives and more so in the mind because the jigyasu yogi or the ardent persistent seeker will pierce through the three subtle bodies and eliminate them completely. They are sthool, sukshma, kaaran shareer. In translation it means that the striving seeker has to pierce and transcend the physical body, the mental body and emotional body correspondingly. Beyond these three bodies is the Sakshi Atma, the witness, the Self. With prolonged practice of meditation, the three bodies are annihilated one by one as the rays of Universal Energy and Spirit enter the last core region of a human being called the kaaran shareer. The more the rays of Light enter, the more peace one gets. This takes time but with profound spiritual knowledge gained by the persistent seeker, the last bits and traces of ignorance are burnt and the seeker attains long lasting peace. Such a high yogi gives prolific peace to others in the environment too. Strive hard. You too should bring that sustainable peace in your lives, bring peace in your heart, your mind and in other’s lives too.”
I get a new life, a new Light in Badrinath-II
30.10.12
Later on, Shri Babaji told me, for I loved flowers a lot he decided to attract my attention in this appealing, unusual and quaint manner. It was also an indication that he would give me some knowledge of occultism in future. The world that we live in should not be the limits of my spiritual education and knowledge, he believed.
He further said that the above cited narrative and extra sensory perception of the astral valley of flowers is a native of one of the upmost levels of the seventh skies, or the seventh stage of Consciousness. He asked me to cite this narrative as there is a definite purpose behind it. He wishes to illumine the people and impart them the following spiritual knowledge and wisdom- In his own words,
- “All the people are after some kind of happiness and that happiness is of the ephemeral, transitory and perishable world. The happiness that they are pursuing will never be found outside; it is to be found inside within oneself with meditation. One is perishable, impermanent worldly happiness of lower order attained by the derivation of the senses and this pursuance culminates in a glut and over supply of sorrow, misery and painful consequences. The humans can even fall in hell because of their compelling bad habits because they become a slave of their senses and finally the senses begin to rule their mind and body.
- Next are the people who wish to fulfil their yearnings of attaining money, power, status and some who live to bloat in their egos. Such people are bound to be suffering from depression, diseases and discontentment in future. There is no end and limit to find happiness outside; we will be squandering many human lives like this to no avail.
- Then a few come in this world and uncover everything, and out of them choose what is sacred, pure and revered. They lead a gentle, pious and restrained life.
Those persons, who with their firm, unyielding stiff efforts, try hard in each life, as a final point find long-lasting happiness and God’s bliss one day. This type of long-lasting and stable happiness, ever increasing, and ever widening happiness is beyond the senses. It is defined and termed as ‘ati indriya ananda’ –that which is beyond the senses. Such splendid happiness is experienced by the mind or manas. When the mind approaches God and is very near to it, then such an exotic state is derived by the seeker by the blessing of God and Guru both. Ati Indriya Ananda is achieved with Guru Kripa, Ishwara Kripa.
Everyday remove all your impurities, keep your mind away from contaminations. Concentrate your mind at one point, make it stable. Learn meditation and make your senses, mind and body stable and you will find success in your efforts with the grace of your Guru.
Atma’s nature is Satchitananda. When your chitt, inner core will become stable in the Light of the Truth Satyaprakash, you will attain ananda, enraptured bliss. Keep your mind calm, keep it pure; have patience. One day you will also experience the power of God.
Those persons attain Prabhutva Gyan or blazing knowledge never permit any negative thoughts to breed inside. No matter what happens, they never lose confidence in themselves. The path of God is a very long route; there will be many ups and downs. Like a brave soldier, obey the commands of your Guru, and become fearless and march ahead, you will one day reach your journey’s end.
To achieve blazing knowledge, keep your mind stable uninterruptedly. Be alert, the mind should not be unsteady and unbalanced. The storms blowing outside should not enter inside you. To achieve this, you will require tremendous mental energies. To generate abundant mental energies keep your body healthy, pure, disease-free and synchronized with your mind. The heart and the brain are the two most important organs of the human body. Keep the heartbeat rate steady and stable by regular meditations and physical exercises. Take enough sleep and eat saatvik or pure foods. Lead a life of being morally upright, unblemished and courageous.”
I get a new life, new light in Badrinath-III
10.11.12
The Banyan tree was situated inside a spacious cave cut out of a mountain piece. Its strong and thick roots were holding to the ground tightly and were distributed in all ways. In front of the tree trunk amidst the drizzle of golden rays, was a seat which had a grey woollen blanket. On the blanket someone was seated. My eyes were keen to know who it was. It was a yogi. I watched this yogi in a mesmerizing spell and awe. I was captivated by his presence and aura. First I saw just the right half of the yogi in meditation whose hair was unusually long and was dropping down freely much below his seat like the hanging roots of the Banyan tree behind him.
Slowly, I saw the full face; it had a radiant golden glow. The body was also brilliant as rays of golden yellow light were coming out of him. He wore an ochre cloth over his body and was meditating with a still body. Now I could see the whole figure and recognized the identity without any doubt or scepticism. I saw myself bending towards him in gratitude and reverence and I had no sense of time or space while I sat there wonderstruck. The vision was now complete. I was in a big cave in a mountain where there was an old Banyan tree. There was a lot of divinity present there and the rays of Golden Light from God, of peace and knowledge were coming towards the cave. I sat there on the ground at his feet with poise, peace and patience. We both sat there in the cave under a big Banyan tree amidst the atmosphere of golden light. Much time lapsed and I was having a glorious time during those wonderful moments.
The yogi began to give me a sermon-
“God is an eternal force. That force is in you, recognize it. This Universe is his creation made of illusion, maya. Separate the maya from Ishwar God. God is infinite and so is his creation endless. The supreme knowledge with which one knows God is also eternal shashwat. Attain that. Separate the perishable body with the eternal Brahma. You are Brahma. You are Eternal. Thou art That.”
Who are you?-I
30.11.12
Part A
He asks us a few questions which we must listen carefully and address them with attention, “Who are you? What for have you come in this world? What are your goals? What do you want to become? How will you achieve those goals? Who is your guidance?
This life is not for amassing and accumulating tons of gold and other wealth. This life is not for fulfilling your earthly desires. This life is not for fulfilling your pride and satisfying small, irrelevant goals. This life is not given to us for settling scores of many past lives either. Neither is this life meant for pursing conflicts and battles and waging wars on others. We just have to sit calmly in our homes with lot of fresh air and open sky and abundant light to realise that we have come on this Earth with a much, much bigger purpose and meaningful missions. We have come here to know ourselves. We should be able to go deep down inside with the help of regular satsangas, holy company and holy talk and meditation. Contemplation is the outcome of meditation. Wisdom comes with contemplation and practise of yoga of meditation.”
Babaji whispered further, “Then begin your post with that first……Tell them that you are not a seeker anymore. You are a teacher here. In your spare time, you always tell me about all my disciples and the events on the blog. Not once have you felt that the achievements and success of your blog are yours. Your sense of surrender is very acute. You have been discussing the improvement, progress or regression of all the devotees and seekers who have come to you. You pray for them and ask for their deliverance. You have been taking all approvals from me and have acted upon only those ideas and programs which I have favored because you rely wholly on my judicious actions and advice. I have given you telepathic powers so that the communication channel is firm and unbroken with God and me. Your deep sense of discipline, commitment and faith is what I expect from all the other aspiring devotees. If they too will keep their Master on top of everything, they too will surge ahead without any delay in their rapid spiritual development. If they can match the sterling quality of obedience which you possess, they will attain victory, glory and uncontainable joy in times to come.”
Part B
Swami Nityananda threw a question at me so unexpectedly,
“What is the reason that it takes us so long to know our divinity and to unfold it, although it is already present since our inception?”
Translation, original words follow:
“Your weaknesses, flaws, fragilities are the cause of your downfall. Flaws are deeds. Every deed has its consequences. The weight of the consequences has to be carried, and to do that time is needed. New births have to be taken in accordance to those deeds and in those new births, which is a capturing snare, the jeeva or individual soul falls into it.
The knowledge of Self releases us from our darkness. Darkness means vanishing of awareness, doing wrong actions and falling on the wrong path. Whenever we do actions of deceit, betrayal or selfishness, we are forbidden gradually from attaining the knowledge of our Spirit or Atma. This is because we have to bear the consequence of our own wrong actions and we bear them on our body and mind.
Those people, who in the name and guise of religion, dharma are not telling the whole Truth to others, will find their knowledge waning slowly.
And those people who are enjoying good time in the name of religion or God is only because of some good deeds of earlier life. However, because of their wrong deeds of today, the previous lives’ good deeds will be washed away soon. And that’s why I too call Shri Mahavatar Babaji a Banyan Tree and the rest of today’s new age, modern Gurus are like changing weathers, withering seasonal flowers.
We should once and for all attain that knowledge which will annihilate all our destruction so that we are able to understand a new world, a new life. Those who walk on the Right Path, God will sustain them and their path, and God will give all blessings and give full knowledge.
We must first attain wisdom, knowledge which is so difficult to attain, many lives are required to attain that knowledge. Just like with great efforts we make rose water with roses, so is the hard process of attaining the greatest wisdom.
Once we achieve the highest wisdom and knowledge, we must remain in that state and not err. We must live in that state for a few years after which we will stabilize in it and never come down.”
In his own words:
“Vikar girata hai. Vikar karam hota, karam ka phal hota hai. Karam phal bhogna padta hai, bhogne ke liye hame samay chahiye hota hai kyunki vaisa janam lena padega aur naye janam mei phir ek chakra chal padta hai.
Atma ka gyan humko hamare andhkar se chudata hai. Andhakar matlab chetna ka lupt hona, galat kaam karna and galat raah par padna. Jab jab hum dhokha, jhooth, daga karte hai, swaarth ke karma karte hai, tab tab hum apne aapko Atma gyan se dheere dheere nishkasit kar dete hai kyunki jo humne vikar, galat kaam kiye hai uska phal hume bhogna padta hai aur use hum shareer aur mana se bhogte hai.
Jo log dharam ke naam par, uski dhal par logon ko pura sach nahi batate, unka gyan dheere dheere lupt ho jata hai.
Aur jo woh ab khushi, aish paa rahe hai woh pichle janam ke achche karam hai, so mila hai. Lekin aajke galat kaam unki sari kamai ko saaf kardenge. Is liye maine Babaji ko Bargad ka Ped kaha aur aaj ke baki sadhuoko, guruo ko, dharmik guruo ko passing show, aati jaati bahar kaha hai. Woh ek mausam ke phool hai.
Hume ek baar gyan aisa lena chahiye jo hamesha ke liye sari tabahi khatam kar de, nayi duniya, naya jeevan ko samjhane ke liye. Jo nek raha par chalega, uske raaste ko, aur usko bhagwan banaye rakhega, usko bhagwan poora gyan dega, khoob ashish dega.
Pehle vivek, gyan prapta karna hai jo ke bahut kathin hai, isme bahut janam lagte hai. Jaise desi gulab mei se bahut mehnat se Gulab ka jal banta hai, aise hi kadi mehnat se gyan prarpt hota hai.
Gyan milene ke baad usmei bahut kaal tak rahena hai, koi galti nahi karni hai. Kuch saal usi avastha mei rahena hai, uske baad hum sthir ho jayenge aur kabhi bhi neeche nahi ayenge……..”
Om Guru Narayan Narayan Hari Hari; Guru Narayan Narayan Hari Hari; Guru Narayan Narayan Hari Hari…….
So much is the information coming from the Heavenly Father and our dearest Shri Mahavatar Babaji regarding those celestial communications that this post is being delivered at the nick of time and is spontaneous in nature. Those seekers who are interested and concerned about their future progress will definitely find this post very illuminating after reading it with devotion and veneration.
I learnt with the compassion of God and benevolent and pure love of Shri Mahavatar Babaji through many living examples that it takes anybody a very long time to manifest the inherent Soul inside us predominantly for these reasons-
One has to struggle hard with one’s destiny-
Irrespective of whatever kind of destiny we have, the aspiring sadhak or seeker must at every critical turning point of his life be braver and mightier than those challenging prevailing life situations. Winning those challenges and trials and not bowing down to them by merely keeping the sacred Guru and merciful God shall assist you in this tough attempt. Just a few succeed. The reason is the mind should have a very strong will power to overcome all kinds of precarious life situations like sickness, misfortune, lack of sight and blurredness, resentment, lack of support and apathetic relations to name just a few. The trials could be of any type depending on the karmic pattern of the individual.
Lack of persistence real hard persistence pays. Determination, if added to persistence will help you tremendously if you wish to know your Soul and relieve yourself from the complicated trap of action and reaction and the suffering that comes along with it as we do not know what should be done and should be avoided best.
Lack of undying patience Some problems of life are simple; while many are complex and some other very complex in nature. Those who have patience will persist till their impact wanes.
Gratitude towards God and the Divine Gurus is limited
The concealed characteristic of many individuals to put themselves before others pops up at wrong times as this is basic human nature. But those striving yogis who till the end point put Guru and God before their own selves skip so many of the so called ‘landslides and rockfalls’ of their precarious fates and recover from them quickly as they save them by showering their Grace from time to time. The self-centered person suffers from delusion, the delusion of ‘I’ness while the self-sacrificing and loving yogi marches ahead and is victorious in the end as he is able to win one by one all the difficult and tricky life situations.
To manifest our soul, to recover from the hardships and miseries of the impelling tricky destiny, the following procedure needs to be followed in the increasing order and the Yoga or Union with God attained.
Nadi shuddhi The purification of the energy and nerve channels.
They are spread profusely in the body and can be cleaned and energized by Yogasana and other simple ancient and Oriental mild physical exercises.
Shwas shuddhi The purification of the breath. It is achieved by doing one of the various types of breathing techniques call Pranayam. Even watching the breath is one easy technique for the beginners.
Karma shuddhi Improving the quality of our actions from woeful to gleaming ones. Being ever vigilant and cautious at every moment on each day and watching our actions and forcing them to be always clean, good, selfless and pious. This is of extreme importance for any seeker because any wrong deed can push anybody from a great height in a ditch. Merely doing Yogasana or Pranayam will not suffice. Utmost care and vigilance should be paid by the sadhak in improving the quality of actions in body and mind both.
Mana Shuddhi Purifying the muddy mind by daily meditation, chanting and watchful awareness. It is only after this final stage is arrived that the seeker can attain ‘Atma sakshatkar’ or God realization.
Why does it take a prolonged time for our soul to manifest?-III
20.05.13
Why does it take us so very long to discover our soul?
Lord Shiva expounded to me, “Moksha is mandatory because ignorance is the cause of all human sufferings. The true meaning of Moksha is living the life on the will of God and eradicating ignorance by receiving spiritual wisdom and removing the sufferings of all past karmas today. The past amassed karmas act as a huge hurdle. The good ones are easy and simple to live by but the sins are very difficult to overcome sometimes. But if you follow what I have said, you can achieve that.
When the sanchit or accumulated karmas are exterminated slowly, new virtuous karmas will be created which will be beneficial to you and the society at large. We will not suffer mentally and physically if this goal is achieved. Instead the results of unselfish and virtuous actions done consciously will result in love, peace, happiness, health and longevity. They will also produce the Joy of Spirit and highest ecstasy. The world does not know about this and does not also believe in this theory. So do not preach anyone; they will learn when they observe your good, righteous and pious living. But this takes a long time because the human being learns from his own mistakes and not otherwise.
How to tackle the impact of the difficult accumulated karmas?
It can be achieved by maintaining your peace of mind. All of you worship Lord Vishnu and Lord Buddha in the reclining position without ever finding out the exact denotation of this symbol. Lord Vishnu is shown with either a pink or a blue Lotus in his navel in this special position. Pink is for love and blue represents tranquility.
Profound peace can be attained if you balance all your chakras at the navel, the Kundalini spot. Bring your mind’s attention at it and inhale deeply. You will be supplied extra oxygen in this place which will in turn make your mind absolutely stable. This is one of the many Kriyas to bring a disturbed or an agitated mind at rest and fetch harmony and stability in times of intense crisis. Practice it until your peace of mind is never lost frantically.
Express peace and peace everywhere. With peace of mind, you can achieve the impossible by being grounded and stable. Rest your mind when troubled like reclining Lord Vishnu until peace returns and live your life by the will of God every day. God is the savior, the provider and the biggest healer.”
How to know the Truth?-I
10.07.13
I saluted to Lord Shiva and started praising him by chanting his several names-“Hey Adi Guru, Hey Sada Shiv, Hey Shiv Shankar, Hey Gauri Shankar, Hey Bhole Nath. Bless me, bless all your children. As you have come to me in this auspicious time, I ask you. Tell me what should I convey to the world, the people? I have experienced profound calmness amidst howling tempests since three days. I see an image of a closed door in front of me which must be undone. It is preventing me to upsurge. I cannot stretch myself and reach you as I see something holding me back. I see many people’s faces, voices and their power of thoughts binding me. They are remembering me, thinking of me and I am unable to fathom what one should do in such a situation. They are seeking me, urging and asking me and wish to know how they should progress. How do they make further spiritual progress? Oh my Lord, open this door. I want to approach you, I strive for you. I am not able to hold out or withstand the reflections surrounding me of these people who in their hearts and minds are depending on me for personal guidance, spiritual growth and love and care. In today’s meditation I cannot get into the transcendental state because the silent voices of your children stand in my way and complete immersion of my mind is not possible. I pray, kindly give us sermons, give us Light, and tell us how to reach you and how to know the Truth that you hold and hide in you? You are a Soul, a Spirit. From you I aspire to know the soul of the Truth, my sweet Lord.”
In between, I contemplated and whispered to myself, “The Truth has always been there, it always existed. This Earth and the humans are new in comparison to the existence of the Truth. As it has always existed, there should be a means, a path, and a procedure to know this Truth. Some wise men have known this Truth earlier than us in distant past, so how to know this Truth?”
During such intense deliberations, the door that was once closed opened by itself and I could now perceive and grasp as I had arrived at the seventh sky or the seventh level of Divine Consciousness. A very gentle voice, the voice of Lord Shiva started to commune with me and counselled lovingly, “Let me tell you what never has been told before. Your Consciousness is pure. You have done no wrong. Those who love you are seeking you. They look up to you for self-reliance, further guidance and a path to follow. At this time, you have their energies accumulated in your heart chakra, your pranic vital force has been drained. Apply more spiritual powers. Do as I say to you now. Inhale deeply. Exhale deeply. The divine energy is clearing the contents of their thoughts from your physical body with my command. When the thoughts are inside our body, they have chemical energy. When they are emitted, they become electrical energy. Use the power of your will now to disintegrate people’s thoughts in your heart so that they diffuse and break down. Use my energy in your breath and bring it inside your brain. Slight mental exhaustion has ensued and sufficient supply of fresh air will recharge your body and brain. Fresh oxygen drawn in with your will power will throw out the carbon dioxide.”
I was gratified and became absolutely comfortable as all sorts of mental, physical or emotional weariness wiped out in an instant with Grace. I wished this state could be prolonged as long as possible and that I should derive maximum in such auspicious duration of stints with God. In intense quietude and calmness of body and mind, Lord Shiva reappeared and continued with his sermon. “There are thirteen people who have fixed their minds on you strongly these days. They are seeking guidance, love and rehabilitation guidance because of which the gush in your mental powers has diminished.”
I said respectfully, “But I already feel so re-energized with your kindness. I can resume my work and would very happily spread your sacred words of liberating wisdom. Please tell me what we should do and know next. I desire that you give us a sermon today. What should become the content in my next post?”
With God’s very great blessings in the holy hour today morning have originated these sanctified words of Lord Shiva which I highlight as sermon. Remember them, treasure them deep in your heart and obey these commandments as the holy words of God. They will reintegrate and consolidate your future spiritual lives to new heights. Such is my belief!
Part B
Sermon “To know the Truth, one should have earned a colossal amount of auspicious and virtuous acts. If somebody makes many mistakes, then the results of those mistakes as well as their misdeeds show up in old age when the human suffers and grieves. Promising and virtuous acts create and amass a power of their own which propels and pushes you forward. This is what is known as the power of action or Kriya Shakti. Just listening to discourses and sermons will not be sufficient; you must also generate new, virtuous actions for producing the force to make you surge forward. Do very good, pious, noble and charitable deeds unremittingly. It is our fault if we overlook the disadvantaged, rundown, dispossessed and the meek people. Help the impoverished, poor and needy; those who are in distress, those who are weak in body and mind and also those who are deprived. Reach out and give them whatever you can in your might and capacity.
Good deeds will get you peace of mind. It will bring about stability, a sense of equilibrium. In peace you will find happiness. When you find deep calmness and peace of mind within you, you shall know the Truth.
Om Namah Shivaya is a beej mantra, it is very powerful and has intense power of purification, redemption and doing penance. It should be chanted as many times as is possible to clear the ruggedness of past karmas which act as hurdles on your path.
Now wrap up this segment with two continuing posts on the same topic; How to know the Truth?- part II and III. After this, the last post should be on compilation of meditation techniques, subsequently you should take some rest from thinking and writing to refresh yourself.
The disciples should have a method in reading this segment E- New Life New Light. When you discontinue publishing new posts, they should not discontinue with their studies. They should adopt this method of learning and integrating the sacred knowledge and science of Moksha as shown in this section. Read the last 4 articles. Absorb them. Go to the first few articles and read and assimilate them. Switch to the later posts again and in this way go back and forth till you have read all the posts and feel that the entire content is wholly assimilated in your mind. Ask questions or report when you are satisfied with what has been told to you. Reinforce your new education and make sure that it is applied in your daily life.
The Truth is extremely difficult to find. Harder still it is to realize this Truth. Make severe attempts to cleanse, purify and reorganize your present life in order to integrate the precepts of Truth in your daily life. Until then practice daily any meditation technique to your penchant and worship God by doing virtuous deeds every day with devotion.”
How to know the Truth?-II
20.07.13
Yesterday evening, I sat in twilight meditation and mentally read a mail that a devotee of Shri Babaji requested me to read out. She wanted me to pass on her message to our Holy Master so that we all purify our actions, thoughts and every cell of our being and to bless us all, which I did. I also did my chanting to bring some peace to a relative of mine who is no more and who pleaded me to relieve her of her grief and repentance in the next world. I too became sad and relived some incidents from our lives which brought unnecessary sadness and dejection. The repentance on her part was for the reason that she did not love me when she was alive. When I sent her healing holy vibrations of Lord Shiva’s ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ mantra, I felt lighter and better and she felt the same. I prayed to God explicitly to forgive her so that her miseries could diminish and wane and she could rest in peace. Spontaneously, the following words were articulated in silence by me,
“Shiva, Shiva, kaalharta, muktidaata
Prabhu sabko shanti do, shanti do”
Just after this, my mind got connected and became in tune with Lord Shiva, who very kindly once more appeared at my invocation to my utmost surprise and whispered gently, “Shiv ka avahan karo, Shiv stuti karo. Adhunik technology se dard zyada mila hai, mana mei ashanti adhik hui hai. Mansik takat ghati hai aur mana mei pareshaani, uljhan adhik hai. Pahele manushya ka mana swabhik hi shaant raheta tha. Aaj ka manushya dukhi adhik hai. Uski vedna adhik hai, woh apne padosi se bhi alag thalag ho gaya hai, woh swarthi ban gaya hai, usmei prem nahi hai.Usne rafter to bahut tez banali hai parantu uska mana shaant nahi hai.
Mukti mei jab sanchit karamo ki gathari ka antim karam naash ho kar vayumandal mei vyapt hota hai, to mana mei bahut gahara dukh hota hai kyunki woh karam atyadhik kashtdayi hota hai . Eeshwar atyadhik dayalu hai, woh sanchit karam mei akhri mei woh hi karam rakhta hai jismei manushya ko pahele atyadhik dukh mila ho. Woh isliye aise karta hai kyunki unse hamara dukh dekha nahi jata, woh atyadhik dayalu hai.
Aap sab mujhe pyare ho lekin tez rafter se jo bhi prani mujhe prapt karne ki prabal ichcha mana mei rakhta hai, woh mujhe sarvadhik priya hai. Tez rafter se veh hi mujhe prapt kar payenge jo apne aapko nirmal bana lete hai. Nirmal banna asaan nahi hota hai kyonki mana mei prem nahi hota. Kewal uske mana mei nirmal prem ubharta hai jo niswartha hai.
Eeshwar prem hai. Eeshwar prem se bana hai, usmei prem otprot hai. Jitna manushya eeshwarya, maanviya prem se apne hridaya ko bhar leta hai, Eeshwar usmei utna hi prakat hota hai, woh aisa swayam karta hai. Eeshwar vahin prakat hota hai jo mana paavan ho kyunki woh swayam paavan hai.
Logon ke mana mei prem kyon nahi paida hota?Kyonki woh swarthi hote hai.Unka apna laalach, apni khushi hoti hai. Aur jo sabko prem karta hai usey sampoorna shaanti prapt ho jati hai.
Eeshwar prem hai, niswartha prem. Eeshwar ka prem nishkaami hota hai, beshart hota hai, badle mei kuch nahi manga ja sakta.”
Translation
“Invoke Shiva, sing and praise Lord Shiva. New technology has given man more miseries and agitation. Mental strength has diminished and the mind is more edgy than before. Earlier, the man was naturally calm. Today’s man is more miserable than the earlier one. His agony is more, he is not even friendly to his neighbours. There is no love in his heart. Though he has gained speed, his mind is not calm.
During the last moments of liberation, when the last action or karma is being relinquished and gets disintegrated in the atmosphere, at that time the human being is in great distress because that last specific karma is very painful. God is very merciful. In the vast baggage of accumulated karmas, he keeps the very sad ones at the last level. He does this because he is very kind and compassionate and cannot see our miseries and woes.
I love all of you but those devotees who try to attain me very rapidly with a great urge, he/she is my most favourite. Only those will be able to attain me swiftly who make themselves pure in mind. It is not easy to become pure because love is missing; there is deficiency of love in one’s heart. Only that heart becomes pure who is unselfish.
God is love. God is made of love, God is saturated with love. The more and more Godly and human love will be filled in the devotee’s heart, God will manifest itself in the same proportion; and this God does on his own. God manifests only there where the heart is pure because God is Himself pure.
Why does love not flow in people? This is because they are greedy and selfish. They live for their own happiness. But those who love everybody, that devotee achieves grave peace and tranquillity.
God is love, unselfish love. God’s love is unconditional and without any contract. It is not to be negotiated!”
Thank you very much for this post dear madam. I feel so much bliss in reading these posts.
Love Deepa
Dear Deepa, the blog has been organized into many sections/posts as it got quite elaborate. The sermons are a collection of all the sermons given to me by the seers, saints, God and Shri Mahavatar Babaji. The previous posts had all the poems, shlokas, prayers etc. Perhaps you may like to visit them also. If you do that, you will get more joy and bliss.
Thanks
Sarika
Pranams Madam,
How beautifully described,in the thick forest of samsara & in the darkness of agnana, only GURU can save us,& he arrives after intense prayer to the Divine. Can you tell us who is Kandhari? lord Shiva himself?
Namaste Dr. Srinivas,
Welcome on Spiritinlife platform from where such beatific rays of divine souls and God’s blessings pour everyday. This is your sacred space so come and take a holy bath, you will be baptized.
As more and more sincere devotees of Shri Mahavatar Babaji step in here, the more joy I get. I am so humbled and happy that you asked me this question- Who is Kandhari?
The wise teacher will never preach because he will never become the doer or initiator of any action in the first place. The disciple has to become ready to learn. If the yearning is intense all the doors of sacred knowledge open automatically. Knowing and practicing this precept makes me humble because I automatically become your teacher and you my student because you are seeking and asking me a question.
I am thrilled with joy since today morning because when it was revealed to me some years back who Kandhari was, I was very joyous because knowing even a little bit of Shri Mahavatar Babaji’s life and his teachings makes my heart swell up with divine bliss! Nobody asked me who is Kandhari so far so I never defined this mysterious figure in my post! (reference post- Our lives are in our hands-II)
This is a real story which took place in Rishikesh forests near Muni ki reti a few decades ago.
The man who lost his way was a swami who later became famous as Swami Shivananda Saraswati of Rishikesh. The ascetic was none other than Shri Mahavatar Babaji. It was because of Babaji’s sankalpa and kripa, resolve and blessings that Swami Shivananda got the direction of his future spiritual life and he became such a respected spiritual figure all over the world. This incident occurred in 1927.
The word Mahavatar Babaji has become more acceptable and famous in recent time after AOY was published. Prior to that Babaji was addressed by many names, maybe he still is. Babaji roamed a lot in peaceful jungles donning many mystic appearances and giving darshan to many seekers looking for guidance. In those days some people called him Kandhari Muni, Kandhari Baba, Shivendra Baba, Sivendra Kandhari Baba because he resembled Lord Shiva and hence the name.I am sure you are delighted after knowing this fact.
Sarika
Dear Amma, I, just now, read through this post:
How to make your life extra ordinary from ordinary?
It was clear, simple and straightforward. Some lines that I have learnt/noted/found moving from the post:
1) If you are determined, you will become fearless.
2) Senseless words, senseless talking and senseless thinking depletes our energy and stops us from exploring our optimum potential. Learn to conserve energy by talking less and thinking more.
3) All along, she chose to be with the Pandavas uptil Swarag Rohini peak, near Alaknanda river in the mighty Himalayas, next to today’s Badrinath temple where one by one, the Pandavas laid down their lives willingly as repentence and penance for the war they had fought so unwillingly.
Dear Vivek, Am so glad that you have picked out some important lines from the post ‘How to make our life extra ordinary from ordinary?’ indeed they are very important lines. When somebody has decided to start true yoga or attempts God union, this is the first thing one should do. Remain quiet and contemplate more than usual. The energy saved can be used to re-shape our present lives. Moreover, excess or senseless talking sometimes brings us in a difficult or sticky situation and that is actually our bad karmas. So to avoid making bad karmas, one must maintain silence and control speech. Controlling our speech is controlling senses.
The quality of being fearless belongs to those souls who are Truthful and hence should be cultivated. The yogi fears nothing because she or he knows that God is leading her/his life and so surrendering to God makes us fearless.
Yours Amma

” God manifest only there where the heart is pure because God is himself pure “
I had saved this in my word doc file and reading this 9and a few other para’s) today morning really helped me : “Even if the going is hard, keep a happy disposition, stay established in resolute faith and recall all those words and divine messages as well as teachings that He has bestowed on you from time to time so that you always have a light that kindles you all the time, in all weathers of life and for you to continue walking on your path steadfastly. ”
Trying my best to be happy and am keeping strong faith in the divine. I know positive change’s will happen in my life but the timing is not in my hands.Thank you God <3
