Dear ___,
‘Rays of Light’ words itself make us think as the word light means illumination. If Grace falls on us as Divine rays of Light, transformation is inevitable because where there is light, darkness cannot stand. The Light falls on the matter present in the form of darkness, dissolves and disintegrates it. In its place falls Light in the form of knowledge, insights and deeper understanding. The mind is then able to grasp and accumulate thoughts of higher understanding and subtleties and its nuances. Thus, the mind is re-created and is constantly improved through a life long process of constant learning and practice and re-aligning the thought processes. A favourable and beneficial change in our behaviour is also brought about alongside.
There are many ways of transformation for humanity. Parenting, schooling, peer groups, various activities like interaction, travelling, playing, reading etc. are ways of transformation.
Transformation should be long term, positive and permanent. The process of transformation should give pleasant experiences so that one’s interest is sustained. Comparisons have no room in this process because comparisons are done between two or more than two people. If the individual is not respected for what he is, true learning is not possible.
We must recognize the fact that each individual has a centre of Light within, called the soul which guides and is the source of all learning. The focus must be in unfolding and blossoming of the soul through love, compassion understanding and dignity.
The very idea of comparison is fatal because it kills the spirit of learning and rejoicing in the act of learning. Learning must be fun, happy times and blissful encounters with the soul. It is as natural for the soul to unfold itself as it is for the birdie to fly.
Our soul has the innate power to unfold itself if we perform the right activities. The process is slow but yields marvelous results for the individual as well as others.
So love, understanding with humility, empathy and due respect for others are some of the requisites for transformation.
Now the Q-“Who determines whether there was growth, accomplishments and perfection?”
- Growth, accomplishment in the material world is obviously visible and is tangible.
- Transformation and growth in the spiritual world is slow, invisible and intangible. It can be felt by the practitioner through the mind and soul. If the mind is not restless anymore, if it is concentrated and becomes more powerful day by day it is a sure sign of spiritual progress.
- If happiness surrounds you in all hours and there is abundant hope, energy and zest for life, this is a sign of progress. Creativity follows.
- If you wish to extend your helping hand to others without even a thought and do not worry of tomorrow then surely it can be determined whether there has been transformation in an individual or not.
If one wishes to accelerate the process and the speed of learning and transformation, the power of concentration should be increased so that the mind falls silent at last. The silent mind learns the best.
Lovingly,
Sarika
Got your reply..Thanks..Felt happy to read it. Reading this post i i realized that somehow i am not able to concentrate enough. Mind is always full of thoughts..Full of daily issues or forthcoming issues. Have been meditating from almost 3 years but don’t see any tangible change in me. In fact earlier i used to get some sort of peace after meditation but now it become a routine.
What should i do..

Guru Ma,
I can see my past comment on this post 5th Nov-2011. You have always reflected highest level of humility and probably that is one reason why we did such utter foolishness in recognizing you. We have so much to learn from you.
Ma, I recall, how desperate I was when Guru ji Krishananda left his body. When He was alive I took him from granted and here with you, i have been repeating same mistakes. When God gave me second chance and got me reconnected with you in 2013/14, still my attitude of taking things on granted has not changed. Ma, you might recall how desperate I was when I reconnected with you but I don’t know where thing went wrong and my commitment on this path had loosen up a bit.
Ma, it is you and divine masters grace that I am realizing my mistakes I have been doing. Bless me mother that this remaining part of life and life afterwards don’t go waste in trivial things and whatever obstacles come and i keep marching towards path of divinity with humility/humbleness under your and divine masters eye and tutelage.
Koti Koti Pranam.to Ma and divine Masters.
Gratitude
My dear Paripurna, this is a period of maun, silence and chintan for us. I am seeing that there are many comments waiting to be read and answered. Even you have gone back and reflected on your journey to Self Realization. Indeed. it is true that you were bereft when your Guruji Krishnanada left this Earth. You came to me in 2013 or so with a sense of urgency and now you feel that urgency is gone. It is true that there are times when we have a deep sense of urgency to find God but with passages of time, it fades away. The truth is that the destiny or fate interferes with our urge to find God deep inside us. We all cannot refuse our destiny, it should be made to roll out. What we on the other hand need to do is that our concentration and remembrance of our goal should not fade away. We have to do both-live our present destiny and also find out God in spite of so many problems which we have to face each day. The best solution is to make our mind and body very strong so that we can do both things by removing tamas or sluggishness by following good health rules, doing longer meditation and taking a good diet. Please follow these guidelines and you you will not feel that you have taken me for granted. Continue your sadhana this way. God bless you. Yours Ma
