A journey to Sri Lanka again-II

#164

On the way to Katargama we drove down towards South Sri Lanka on the eastern coast and saw the very clean and beautiful seaside. With the favour of the driver, we quickly got down and went near the waves. The rising and falling of the waves was mesmerizing and even energising. We could have spent some more time there had it not been for our tightly packed schedule.

The first few pictures are of that seashore, the rising and falling of the waves taking the prominent place in them.

A lot of destruction took place when there was tsunami attack on this tiny island some years back. A memorial is now made in memory of those people who lost their lives and homes on this seashore.

Memorial for tsunami victims on our way to Galle.

We halt at Galle- the ancient port city rebuilt by the Portuguese in 16th century. The whole place gives a very Mediterrean feel and look. It is a fortified city, well preserved and is a World Heritage site. Those who wish to visit this place in Sri Lanka, please remember this that it is extremely hot and humid and the Sun is just unbearable. So do take your umbrellas, hats and sunscreens for sure.

These two huge canopies combine to make a beautiful natural umbrella providing shade and coolness to the tourists who flock here to see the magnificent sea.

An amicable blend of old and new exists in this fort city.

Next- Nuara Eliya means ‘a city of lights’. It is hill city above 6,000 ft altitude. It is the most important place for tea production in Sri Lanka. We visited in the season of flowers and I am still filled with nostalgia at the varieties of flowers that were grown inside the hotel garden. The garden reminded us of ‘Alice in wonderland’ story and fairy tales themes. Many buildings in Nuara Eliya are from the colonial past and we stayed in one such hotel to enjoy the picturesque landscapes within and outside.

This exotic picture is the first one that I took when we were about to reach Nuara Eliya. The name of the water falls was Rawana Waterfalls, Ravana from the epic ‘Ramayana’. The water that is falling is not of fresh rains but from inside the mountains itself. More about ‘Ramayana’ and ‘Ashok Vatika’ in next post.

Rules of the land are followed in Sri Lanka. We are not allowed to pluck flowers anywhere so in all places in the hill city we witnessed this phenomenon- whether small or big or any nondescript or prominent home, every house had flowers growing at the entrance, even if the house was bang on the road side! Last season’s seeds were also germinating on the ground and therefore Nuara Eliya was blooming with faint smells of attractive, colorful flowers and conglomerating bunch of flowers.

The next post will have pictures of ‘Panchvati, tea garden, turtle conservation,Masks Museum and miscellenous images. Nuwara Eliya had maximum to offer and time was short. One should go and stay there for a few days as this is the most perfect hill station. It will sometimes remind you of Mussorie, sometimes Dal Lake in Kashmir, sometime Dalhousie, sometimes Shimla and sometimes splendid Switzerland! Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder they say!

( To be concluded……

A journey to Sri Lanka again-I

Connection between India and Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka was once joined with Southern India and was integrated millions of years ago. The impact of sudden earthquakes disconnected the two parts and now it is an independent island.

Even today there are many similarities, unanimity and cohesion as far as language, food and culture is concerned. The people are warm, cordial, humble and helpful. They consider India as the Mother country and Sri Lanka as the son. This is also because their main religion is Buddhism. Lord Buddha was born in India and it was King Ashoka who took Buddhism to Sri Lanka in his determinations and pursuance of penance after the Kalinga war about 2274 years ago. They are still connected and welcome us generously in their country. However, this is modern history.

Penance in thick jungles of Sri Lanka by ancient yogis of India-

During ancient times some millions of years ago, it is said that Parvati and Lord Shiva  asked his second son Kartikeya to do spiritual penance by doing Sudarshan Kriya in the thick jungles of least inhabited Lanka because the Himalayas were very cold. At that time, the south of Sri Lanka was full of fierce animals and thick vegetation. To provide complete uninterrupted silence and quietude that place was ideal for a serious yogi. So Kartikeya came from North India and did ‘tapas’ or hard spiritual practices in the southern area of Sri Lanka called Katargama today. The original name was ‘Kartikgrama’, which means the village of Kartik. There was a river flowing by which is today’s Manik Ganga thus adding serenity around and the place was completely cut off from the villages. This river has now become narrow and shallow.

Kartikeya did meditation under the cool shade of the canopy of old trees and fasted many days to enhance his divine powers. When his attempts were successful, he completed his days of vow, broke his silence and offered all the fruits of his deeds to God.

Less than two thousand years ago, Mahavatar Babaji was also asked to go to the same place to do spiritual progress by God when he was a teenager. (Read- The manifestation of our soul-I to know more about this place) Like Shri Kartikeya, Mahavatar Babaji also donated all the rewards back in the lap of God and only asked that the rewards of his ‘tapas’ should be given to other aspiring spiritual aspirants. Hence, my sole aim of going again to Sri Lanka was to benefit from that place where these two spiritual giants had meditated under tough geographical and climatic conditions. There are many other unknown seers, yogis, saints, and philosphers who must have made that place holier by their own pious deeds in antiquity when very few people lived on Earth.* They have made it easier for today’s yogis if they have forbearance and tolerance to go there and sit calmly to absorb all the prevailing dynamic spiritual wavelengths and vibrations embedded in the atmosphere.

Before I left for Sri Lanka, Mahavatar Babaji explained to me that there are three levels of ‘tapasya’ or progression that a yogi can pursue and attain. They are-  tapasya, ghor tapasya and finally mahaghor tapasya. They are increasing degrees of hardships and forbearance that an ascending yogi undergoes to attain the highest levels of God realizations. Mahavatar Babaji did ‘mahaghor tapasya’ or highest level of hardships and endurance undertaken to achieve the ultimate spiritual realizations in Katargama in Sri Lanka. My sole purpose of going to Sri Lanka was to enhance my own spiritual progress by availing the divine atmosphere still permeating it.

Nonetheless, we stopped in various places to do sightseeing before we could reach Katargama. Colombo was one such place. We visited Ganga Ramaiyya temple and adjoining  Seema Malaka temple on a lake.  A few pictures are uploaded for all  to see and appreciate their grace, benignity and beauty.

We made this trip between 26th March to 4th April 2013.

Ganga Ramaiyya temple is a palace converted into a temple. It also has a museum, a Buddhist school and a library. Many priceless gifts are donated by many devotees in this today’s Vihara, museum and library. In spite of seeing countless expensive and rare artifacts in the museum, a deep sense of detachment prevailed over me. After all what is it that is in the Soul of a realized Buddha that we find all these things worth relinquishing? Why do we pursue Him? Maybe for Peace? Ultimately, we find the value of any object worthless if compared to the priceless and most sought after love- Love for God. Isn’t craving for God far superior than any of worldly things? Why did the seers and sages advise detachment and contentment? What is it that I will take with me once I am done here? I was just ruminating…….Buddham sharanam gachami….  I take the refuge of Lord Buddha was resounding in the atmosphere of the Vihara or ex- palace and musuem of today in Colombo.

Amidst the hustle bustle of the city, a tranquil lake takes you by complete surprise. Seema Malaka temple is built on Beira lake and has an old Bo Tree. It is surrounded by many fine trees and water birds perching on them or in the quiet waters. We visited it at sunset time and the environment was very calming. Modern high rise buildings blend well with the Oriental and traditional ones.

The place where Kartik Swami did penance in Katargama was already sanctified and purified by Maharishi Vishwamitra when he lived in the third Earth. His samadhi is where there is today a very large Bodhi tree which is venerated by all Hindus and Buddhists alike.

This Earth has been rebuilt, reconstructed thirteen times. 13 times this Earth has been destroyed and rebuilt after ‘pralaya’ or natural catastrophe. At present we are in thirteenth Earth.

The place where Mahavatar Babaji did penance in Katargama was originally sanctified by Rishis of yore. In fact, even before Sage Vishwamitra did penance here in second Earth, there was a Seer who lived in today’s Africa when the Earth was formed the first  time. Even Africa was once connected to Indian continent long, long time ago. He was the first person to have invoked God and came in search of Him and got gravitated to Katargama first at God’s response, today’s Katargama. After him on the same place Sage Vishwamitra came to do penance and left his mortal body here. Kartik Swami, other Rishis and presently Mahavatar Babaji have sanctified Katargama where there is a Buddhist temple today in Katargama Temple- Ruhunu Maha Katargama Devalaya apart from a small temple dedicated to Mahavatar Babaji.

More of that from my posts of March 2016 when I visited Katargama again. The pictures will speak and validate what I wish to confer upon you.

How to manifest our soul?-II

#162

Whatever happens from the depth of the soul will be full of wisdom.

Acts done with peace and tranquility have depth.

Acts done from the surface of the mind are frivolous.

The exterior world consists of frivolous activities. It does not have any depth.

The realized and illumined soul of a human being experiences sorrow because he or she has to live in a world of men who live on exterior and superficial levels of existence. The wisdom in the Soul has not been explored by them yet.

Then how to manifest that soul within us?

By pursuing silence and purifying the mind by contemplation and giving rest to the tired mind.

Lord Buddha contemplated all his life and we worship and venerate the exterior life of Buddha. The sixth sense of the seeker has to be awakened to go inside the depths of the soul and mind. The sixth sense is for the advancing yogi for special faculties so that the unseen world of the innermost recesses of the mind can be reached. Unless the yogi does not contemplate and meditate deeply, the sixth sense cannot be touched and unlocked. The inner depths of the divine world present inside the mind of the pursing yogi cannot be contacted.

Seek the guidance and counsel of your Guru and mentor to reach this goal. In between this, put all your energies in one place- the energy centre at the place between the two eyebrows or kutastha.  By doing so the frittered mind can be controlled wisely and kept in one place. Listen to the voice of your conscience when it speaks to you in moments of tranquility and quietness.  If you continue to listen to the voice of your conscience and voice inside you over a long period of time, you will be able to manifest your soul.

P.S. The photos of Katargama shrine associated with Shri Mahavatar Babaji’s early life have been uploaded as segment C in previous post How to manifest our soul-I. You may visit it to see them. There are videos also which may be uploaded as and when it is possible.

Thanks

How to manifest our Soul?-I

#161

Part A

We are unable to manifest our Souls because of the ignorance embedded in our mind of many incarnations. Each person’s ignorance is different from the other.

Nobody in the world knows where is the seed of the ignorance seated?

The seed of ignorance is in the manas or mind. One has to go up to the last layer of the depth of the mind to remove the ignorance.

The soul has wonderful peace inside it. But to manifest that Divine Peace inside the soul, the ego and all the gravels of ignorance ought to be mined and thrown out. But what stops a human being or a seeker to not let the ignorance which is a covering the mind from uncovering the Truth of its Soul?

The soul is buried inside the heaps of layers of ignorance. Reluctance to admit and accept the liberating knowledge and Truth do not allow the liberating knowledge released by the holy Masters to seep into the mind. Their ego stops them from future learning and they insist and assert that they would like to remain in that state of mind because they know more and they know better.

Earlier the rishis or sages set out in search of the Truth and lived in harsh climate and hard life conditions to be able to concentrate their mind in their pursuits. They were humble and chaste and therefore with their continuous attempts and hard work, they were successful in knowing the Truth buried inside. God helped them by giving them the sacred knowledge and Divine wisdom by showing them the path that belonged to the sacred Masters; God guided them towards those Masters. Intense tapas or hard toil and spiritual attempts are performed by those who have surrendered their ego or any pride and they have enough patience to allow Divine’s intervention that will manifest some day in some manner.

Holy and divine, sacred places of great penance are chosen and made by the will of God. So the holy souls come to such places and meditate for a very long time in that surcharged atmosphere to realize the Truth and know the mysteries about God. The great realizations occur only at holy and sacred places wherever they may be.

Disciples who surrender to their Gurus or Holy Masters are guided by them to step up their inner efforts and they benefit from prior made Holy spots inhabited by holy souls. As the atmosphere is already surcharged by that Divine wisdom and peace so, naturally the present day disciples are able to easily access mentally by entering into the Divine atmosphere by meditating in those caves or other holy spots. Their Holy Masters are aware about the progress of the disciples and they encourage and support them in all their endeavours and liberate them from their existing ignorance or ‘avidya’ lingering over many lives.

As the disciple has laid down his entire personality at the holy feet of his or her Master, in order to purify himself at the hands of the Guru, the Grace of God and the Holy Masters is bestowed on the disciple. The disciple should have incessant patience and the will to cut through all the layers of the existing Maya or ignorance. Those seekers, who have completed the whole process of purification and cleansing undergo further hardships or penance in order to reach the uppermost level or realm of Divine Consciousness.

The liberating knowledge of Moksha is very sacred and should be possessed by the aspirant in order to free him or her from all the grave errors occurring in future and also to liberate himself from the effects of suffering lives and difficult life situations.

Part B

I am at present in Katargama in Sri Lanka and have come to meditate at the holy spots of Katargama Devale where Shri Mahavatar Babaji did intense tapas in the dense forest under the Banyan Tree and the Bodhi tree by the will of God. Today the majority of people are unaware about the Divine spots at which the humans can meditate peacefully and cure the chronic disease of ignorance. There are two places or spots which are most sacred, although the entire area is calm, peaceful and holy. More than 1800 years ago, Babaji came here from Kashi, India and meditated in a very dense forest where no one could even penetrate. Babaji was free of every particle of Maya, yet he did intense penance for others and our Earth. He meditated for many days under a Banyan Tree without food and water and wished not to be disturbed. Unfortunately, one wood cutter who was filled with the raging desire of cutting this very Banyan Tree could not be stopped by anyone and in spite of being warned repeatedly of the alarming dangers, he went ahead and cut the same tree under which Babaji had meditated intensely. After a few days, the woodcutter was so full of guilt and shame that he took away his own life by hanging from a tree.

The office bearer whom I met this morning, told me disappointingly that they have been trying to plant a Banyan Tree again at the same spot where there is a modest temple of Babaji today, but all their efforts have failed. The new Banyan Tree that they plant die and do not survive. This piece of information intrigued me and I was very curious to know the reason behind the dying of the Banyan Trees at the holy spot where Babaji once did intense penance and meditation.

During my meditation a while ago, our dearest Babaji told me, “ The wood cutter was already cursed even before he cut my Banyan Tree and the curse lingered. The curse was because of his acts of deep ignorance. But there is another Peepal tree or Bodhi Tree in this precinct where I had also meditated which is alive with my energies today. I used to meditate under it after the Banyan Tree was cut. You have already written about it (The state of Super Consciousness-I) that it has tremendous Sankalpa Shakti and therefore you have come to this holy spot again to make an intense and strong resolution and to meditate with that resolution under the Bodhi Tree. It shall be fulfilled.

Seekers who have unconditional love, complete faith in their Holy Master shall be blessed with more courage and physical and mental strength to pursue further learning by dynamic meditations. So utilize this time and go very deep inside until you know the inner most depth of your soul. Inhale my presence in this holy place through your mind and breath. Instill peace and calmness that will not break continuity of your mind with me. Distribute this Divine knowledge to those who surrender to you and who please me. Do not extend help to those who are densely ignorant and covered with mud of darkness because the sacred knowledge of the Divine is given at the mercy and the will of God to those who have surrendered their individual self at the lotus feet of their holy Gurus. Invoke love and gratitude in those hearts who are willing to serve others and refrain from those actions in which you lose your precious time.

I bless all of you if you will make special efforts to go deep within yourself and contemplate. Remove all the remaining portions of your ignorance by doing daily meditations, praying and maintaining silence. These actions will purify you and make you peaceful. The manifestation of soul is due to prolonged peace of mind. Manifest your soul with the lingering peace of the Divine within you. Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti Om”

P.S  As I am at this moment touring Sri Lanka, this post will be revisited and revised again. If I am able to get the pictures of the sacred spots of the trees under which Babaji meditated, then they will be uploaded later. Thanks.

Part C

Updated on 10.04.13

As mentioned last time that if permitted by the temple authorities, I would like to take pictures of the two holy spots where Shri Mahavatar Babaji had meditated. So here are the pictures that were taken on 31.03.13 early morning in Katargama.

We begin very early to visit the Holy Shrine or Devalaya to avoid the buzzing of people in order to take good pictures and to meditate peacefully. At 6 am we were at the holy Shrine.

This is a river named Manik Ganga that flows next to this Shrine. Maybe it was much closer to the place many years ago and has shifted as there is sand in the premises.

Inside the premises, one can easily divide the area in two parts- the left side and the right side. In fact there are two gates on the huge wall. One goes from this gate to the Murugan Swami temple, Buddha temple and the Bodhi tree under which Babaji meditated and the right side has Hindu deities and the small temple built by Kriya Yoga people as a memory where Babaji once came to do penance. First let us see what we can see once on the left side once we cross this gate.

The very first temple on right is of Murugan Swami. This is where he did penance many milleniums ago in a thick jungle.

What is inside our soul?-III

#160

Our soul is quiet. It is composed of pure, abstract silence and tranquillity. It is composed of comforting, depth less peace. Rest in that. Sleep peacefully in that rejuvenating silence and peace.

When we take many incarnations, a layer of mud of ignorance settles on our soul. The mud settles on our soul and covers it. The layers of mud become hard and thick as we grow older in incarnations and the crust in the mind in the form of rocky, stubborn and obstinate nature blocks the Light of the soul. The heap of crooked, curved and obstinate viewpoints refrain the human being from deciding with pure, spiritual wisdom and Light of Truth.

Man suffers incessantly at the hands of its own lack of Truth and Right Reasoning. Incarnations after incarnations are wasted and lost living in obstinacy and ego related issues. Seldom does the human realize and contemplate on where should he/she be looking for Light and Divine Wisdom?

It is difficult for humans to penetrate deeply; only after which he should decide by choosing and picking the right thoughts for doing their daily needs. If we sit down calmly in spare moments to free our souls from its clutches of darkness, this act would liberate us from misery, gloom and downfall.

Calming our non stop, redundant, flowing thoughts and resting profusely in tranquillity and calmness is extremely essential to capture a small glimpse or a fraction of wisdom that lies in our soul. Repeated hours of practice of sitting calmly in one place till the restless thoughts settle down at the base like mud in water is the key to get your right answers and enlightenment of your soul. The body needs a lot of repeated, constant practice to stop its control over the mind and obeying the commands and right instructions of a composed and serene mind. Gather irreversible poise and sanity. Control the fidgety nature of the body as well as the mind till they become the servants of the controlling Master. The five senses rule over the mind and body hence the ‘jeeva’ or individual is like a horse galloping freely without its Master and controlling reins.

So much, so much time and effort as well as patience is used and spent in harvesting surplus crops of material prosperity in each incarnation of human life. If the wise person invests less than half of this effort in bringing under its control the monkey-mind and the restless, galloping horse-senses, the avalanche of unexpected gloom and insurmountable troubles created by one’s own blunders and short-sightedness can be easily averted. Please pay attention to it.

The realized Atmans and  illumined sages hold the lamp of Light for us to see so that we tread on the safe path.

061

They guide us in times of unforeseen and unexpected crises of life, be they spiritual or personal. Do not let go of such auspicious and good omen divine interventions when the Lord sends us help, solutions and comfort through some agencies.

Seldom do we recognize these subtle transparent assistance and helping hand coming from the Divine. So open your eyes and see the Truth- the Truth of Right Living and sensible judgement. Light your soul. Light the lamp of elucidating, nurturing Light in your soul. With this Light, your darkness will dispel. You will be free from the exerting force of your burdening past of crippling karmas. Unleash the force of Wisdom that is ingrained in your soul. Release yourself from the ill-effects of many past reincarnations and begin a new life so full of right Judgement, Truth and Divine Wisdom.

So what is inside our soul?

Pure Divine wisdom.

An information- With the consent of Shri Mahavatar Babaji and at the request of a promising disciple of Shri Babaji, we have made a video on Youtube of a post from this blog. The post is-The power of praying intensely.  The videos are snapshots of some prominent posts which can be used as summaries for recapitulation.

More such videos are intended in future so that the teachings of Babaji can be spread all over the world easily. You may visit this link to see the first video that has been created for Spiritinlife.

What is inside our soul?-II

#159

We see around us so much strife, disharmony, ambiguity and drowse. People walk, sleep, and fight in that kind of state of mind. Harmony is not the word in their lives. Peace is unknown. Based on that state of mind, they take steps of incongruity. When they will rise, you think. When they will think, wonders the Lord.

Some good souls who have faith in merciful God wish to see the Earth green, calm and tranquil and full of ecstasy. They try their hands to undo what the people in sleep are doing in moods of disharmony and incongruity. Questions are raised quite very often by the Samaritans when they read these sacred words of the Holy Masters on ‘Spiritinlife’ and they sometimes are at unease. It is because the Lord in them is being affected by the heat of acts of ungodliness carried out by men somewhere on the Earth because of their unsacred thoughts.

To know what is inside our soul my dear friends, leave the mayhem and confusion that has been lingering since time unknown outside yourself. We cannot clean the whole world but we can clean our homes and hearts. Peep inside, go deep within. Rest in that holy altar, bathe in the holy waters of sanctity and breathe fresh air of serenity.

Let the waft of stale air exhale from your inner core so that the corner is empty where you can rest deeply and inhale fresh air of tranquility. Leave the strife of countless minds that are in complete darkness and will never understand that peace is as essential for all of us as fresh air and clean water that we bank upon every moment, in every day and night. Instead, kindly still your mind like the calm waters of a moonlit cool lake and sit in the yogic asana and dhyana like a yogi in a cave. Call upon your Merciful Master and all gods with all the sweetness of your love in the heart. Invite the All-pervading silent God to help you pursue your first love, our sweet Lord Himself. When you can do that, the rest shall be delivered to you soon in moments of blessings and consecrations by the dearly loved Lord.

Your vulnerable soul shall open up to you. Your mind shall breathe in the nectar of serenity and peace shall prevail.

Now go little deeper inside. What do you see? Do you recognize that?

That is pristine peace, clean and very soft, mellifluous and full of innocent scent and sweetness; so sublime and gentle. Bask in that, remain in that sanctuary and dip in the tranquility that the soul consists of since eternity.

Peace percolates in our soul like coolness in river waters.  Tenderness, calming peace in our sublime soul. Imbibe it as you inhale the sweet scent of lovely flowers as you walk past ravishing flower beds in your garden. Instill that calmness and peace so strongly in your mentality so that any upheaval and destruction done outside shall not touch your stability. Carry on with your work and daily duties with such durable peace packed inside you. This source of continuous harmony and peace shall never betray you.

So what is inside our soul?

There is peace inside our soul.

What is inside our soul-I?

#158

Experiences unique in childhood, deciphered at a much later stage. Ecstasy unknown to ordinary men experienced at a tender age but had no individual with whom to share or reveal this unique one. Until a few weeks ago, when in most blessed moments, my sweet Guru, the Highest Master took me back into some solitaire, ecstatic experiences of childhood when this human being may not be more than four.

The paternal big house was a play den. Near the river from where a cool breeze blew day in and in night too, soothing my heart and mind alike with delight. Behind the palatial house were green pastures where the cattle grazed and we cousins, would run after the flying crows, hummingbirds or chase the herd of cattle all in a row. Sometimes the open sky so vast, the breeze so gentle and the limitless space of the pastures had a compelling effect on my tender soul. When brothers were running ahead of me, I would get lost in that wonder land and world unknown to others around me. The eyes would become heavy, the body quiet and the mind completely still when with the soft touch of the cool wind and the vast space and sky, the consciousness would unite with the Omnipresent,  all-pervading in the space and sky. Feet could run no more. Playing would halt and seriousness would tread softly in. The siblings were as if asked to run after the cattle with bells jingling in their necks far away so that I would be able to disassociate with them and have enough space and isolation to connect to the Divine inside me. That was the play of Krishna indeed for all you know!

The soul’s penchant for re-connection with the Divine grew fonder but I not knowing what was happening exactly. The pull was strong enough that indeed many a times, I have gone to those spots again in holidays to revive those ecstatic times while at play. Whenever in youth I thought of good times, these memories would pop up several times again and soothed and appeased was my soul many times; more when I reminisced about those green pastures to and fro. I thought it was the nature’s magic or just the childhood spectrum of naughty, playful activities.

“No,” said the Grand Master. Not once was it ever child’s play! It was an act of an advanced yogi who had experienced this exclusive interplay of magic and God’s display; not just in the childhood of this incarnation but prior to this stage and previous human plays. Go back to it again now and you will once again fall in deep ecstasy because the yogi gets this gift from God for the priceless deeds done in times of unselfish heart and mind’s performances. It was achieved before you were born now and got carried with you as your wealth of last days. Prior to this also, you have spent hours in isolation and solitude with nature and God and have asked for boons beyond palaces, rubies and gold. The yogin realized that nothing is permanent in this constantly changing world; what comes now must go. Why not go after something that would go with me as and where I go? So, you have inside you glimpses of spiritual bliss earned in last incarnations and that which you were blessed with even at the tender age of four!”

I said, “Who knows if this was spiritual bliss or merely the magical play of the soothing elements in the surroundings that nature gifts as cool breeze over waters of a river or the plentiful drifting clouds and sky in blue?”
“If this was merely the tender heart’s fancy, you would not have fallen so easily into deep ecstasy so naturally at this ripening age too. The Master can only give you the environment, but the soul must have the seed and the soil ready to bloom so beautifully! In many incarnations you have tried to bloom in soul. Many lives have gone in perfecting your soul but not in vain.”

I became a child again at the Holy Feet of my most beloved and graceful Divine Spiritual Master. The child’s curiosity again forced me to know from the All- knowing Master’s Vast Ocean of memory during my exclusive moments with Him a few days ago at the sacred morning hour of four when the world was in deep drowse, and I arose! I penetrated and looked deep inside me and wished to know.

“What is inside the soul?” I asked.

“Joy, pure sublime Joy! It possesses innocent, lingering and never ending pure Joy.

The garden is blooming, and the soul is full of perfume of pristine joy and deep ecstasy. If you will share this with others, they shall get a glance of the soul that they possess if they will peep in.”

Introduction

Brahma akshar hai, Brahma  saakshi hai, Brahma anant hai, Brahma chetna hai, Brahma durlabh hai, Brahma sarvottam hai.

God is indestructible, God is a spectator, God is endless, God is consciousness, God is hard to attain, God is Supreme!

Brahma Eeshwar hai, Brahma paripoorna hai, Brahma shanti hai, Brahma anand hai, Brahma sarvasva hai, Brahma ki shanti, anand ko prapt karo.

Brahma is God, Brahma is complete in itself, Brahma  is peace, Brahma is bliss, Brahma is everything, attain the peace and bliss of Brahma!

Narration

Wonderful meditation occurred spontaneously a few hours ago. Words are just flowing out of me, incredible experience of limitless joy and peace. Who would not want this priceless, sublime experience and why should we not request for it?

In the afternoon, silence and peace invaded from the ethereal sky. Very blissful peace! Saw a colossal Lord Shiva covering my whole vision, then the entire gigantic Universe. I prayed to Him submissively to forgive the sins of all humanity as we are so prone to make mistakes every day in every life. Prayer selfless uttered, rewarded most appropriately. Body and mind in perfect repose and inactivity, a state of bliss and perfect peace clambered on me. I rested in a nest so full of homely, snug, warmth and love that nothing in this world can substitute it!

As peaceable was the sleep, so was tranquil returning to wakefulness. In a state of perfect calmness, a soft and gentle voice of God inside spoke, “Whether I speak like a man or a woman, whether I speak in loud or soft words, whether I come as an image or not, does it really matter to you any more? You hear my most soft whispers and the lightest step that I take sneakily as I get invoked in your lovable heart. Hence know for sure that I am housed in you permanently!

In the Himalayas your heart is, the soul in me always, who cares for me in a manner such as you? I speak to you so often in the day; you drop everything that is occurring in the mind and listen attentively as if there has been no world existed ever outside you. With due respect and reverence and pristine love, you seek me, you overhear me as if I am the lover and you the beloved. Should I not return all the honor, love, care and thoughtfulness that was bestowed on me so unselfishly?

In return I give you today, my revelation that I love you as much as anyone can love. I adore you as no one before has, I protect you as no one before has done and I reveal myself through you to all now.  Because this has been your kind prayer on the lips and inner gaze all the way through as nights and days drew to an end!

I love those who love me, I protect those who care for me and do harm to none. I oversee you as clouds over the lands, I illumine you as light at dawn, I water you as sap in the veins of green floras, I feed you as a mother to her child and I watch over you eternally as the protective Father of the tribe……

You took me in and threw up your palms in the skies of the Universe so that these blessings could be shared and people as unknown faces are healed and restored properly.  Did I not see that? My eyes are everywhere, my ears listen to your innermost songs and emotions and I judge you subject to your hidden intentions and yearnings.

Listen to me carefully if you can. If you wish to beget Me, seek Me lovingly! Seek Me day and night! Seek Me in joy, seek Me in disaster! Seek Me when you toil, seek Me when you sleep and Love me as much as you have loved no one ever before in all your lives!!

Dear friends, this article is sublime, chaste and pristine. If subjected to further explanations, its very mild fragrance shall evaporate. So kindly inhale the gentle perfume in the evening air of the lavender incense on my altar at this sacred moment of serene dusk….

Introduction

On the night I finished my last post of 30th January regarding our soul’s progression, when I went to retire in my bed, I saw a huge ball of golden Light that appeared in the centre of my third eye. It was a perfect round ball and pretty dense in yellow colour.

It immediately grew big in size. It grew very immense  after which I rapidly saw Mother Earth in it. The Earth was covered copiously by this Golden Light. Then the Light became bigger, far more bigger than the Earth until the Earth vanished leaving behind just the Golden globe of Light. This sphere of Light became further big and it became so big that it covered the entire ethereal space. It eventually covered the Universe, the whole of Universe. It grew larger still until the Universe disappeared and there was nothing else in this Universe but that dense, pure golden Light!

Pure Golden Light!

Only Light!

Seeing this magnificent Light, I immediately put myself in it willfully; and dived in it until I completely disappeared.  At this stage, I murmured to myself feebly, “Ah! Cosmic Consciousness!”

Side by side interestingly, I was perceiving and envisioned that the next post has something to do with this experience and that I must retain this exclusive experience until I give final shape to it due shortly. I likewise got a hunch that the next few days are going to be frantic and therefore, this experience has come very well in advance and I must go back to it every time I undergo some erratic or unusual experience hereafter. There has to be some connection between this particular, uncommon spiritual experience and the events in days to come. There should be a purpose for God to give me this experience and even if the coming days become very demanding and full of activity, I must not disremember this exotic experience. I should not allow it to fade away in oblivion; I reminded myself many times while things rolled out slowly as days flew.

I was in deep thought and floated in some extraordinary times, so exclusive and mystifying; it is always so hard to define those moments and express as words here. I realized that there is some concealed message that I cannot see right away but the Light is the messenger and is here to indicate something that is very crucial and note taking. This realization and information I saved and registered it very well in my mental impression and space carefully.

With my heart so full of gratitude and humbleness, I bowed down reverentially at the Cosmic Light and thanked God for have given me a slight glimpse of its Infinite presence.

Immediately, I heard inside, “Do not wrap up the last post now. From your side it was over. Make two more parts of it. The experience that you have just received is a testimony that you are in Cosmic Consciousness and you will also be during some more spells further in the night or day intermittently.

I got curious and asked, “What type of experience is this? Is this kind of experience higher than the ones I had about a year or two back of Super Consciousness while I was in Delhi? I was referring to the days when I was writing regular articles on Super Consciousness. Were they not supreme experiences?

I raised this question because I did not plunge so effusively in such concentrated Cosmic Light before. Meticulously I distinguished that something in me was still not besieged, like a very thin line something still existed inside me; it was like a very, very thin dark grey hair.  Clearly, the jeeva in me was still outstanding and unresolved, so what if it was as thin as a very slender fine line! It had to go, even this last thin line had to go.

In my meditations, I had communicated and expressed to God my inner feelings of late that whatever I have acquired in my realizations and divine experiences so far itself was so abundant, liberal and generously given that I will never ask anything more henceforth. Never in my dreams and fancy imaginations, had I expected that I would ever get to know God, that too so closely. I was merely trying all my life. I had also prayed to Shri Mahavatar Babaji in prominent meditations, that hence forth I will never keep any craving or initiative to ask God for more revelations since I have nothing to return or repay. I am already so overfull with all the blessings and kindness that I have received in abundance and immeasurable measure that I do not have anything left with me which shall be appropriate to give as a token of adoration, gratitude and thanksgiving. A point has come in my life when I should ask nothing, not even a touch of divinity’s unfolding or a peek into the world of God. I am a recipient of boundless grace, love, joy and limitless peace from my Gurus and God and I have not yet done enough to do anything equivalent in return, so why should I request or ask anything more? Whatever I have received so far is much  more than one can ask or ever  have. All I should do now is only serve God in the most selfless manner and do it unceasingly day and night.

God replied,

“Super Consciousness is not the ultimate stage- Cosmic Consciousness is the ultimate one.

In Super Consciousness stage, there are dots of remnants of the individuality still lingering although one may have glimpses of divinity. When each and every accumulated karma, of every life that one has lived on this planet has been erased and washed off, one gets a brief vision of Cosmic Consciousness like this one. This is true samadhi, uninterrupted, continued naad ghosh and bliss.

The jeeva is finally eroded wholly and there is no curtain between the individual soul and the expansive Spirit of the Universe. This is an irreversible stage. It is a very long drawn out procedure and just a few souls can reach uptil here because it is very tiring and full of fatigue and demands unusual forbearance and patience. A few succeed.

Releasing and exhausting the amassed seeds of past karmas is a mammoth task and can be overwhelming for anybody. Anyhow, tell everybody that nonetheless it should be attempted and tried so that once clean, your life will be stain free, joyous and very, very peaceful. Those who attempt will be blessed for their seriousness and clean heart.

Guide each one who is on this path and you will be blessed profusely by your Teachers and Me. Everyone is in darkness, it is with acute difficulty that we get blazing Light and knowledge like this one. Others should be given a helping hand and should be given a fair chance to remove their darkness from their lives.”

Here I recall and re-connect to this spiritual experience as documented earlier from-

I get a new life, a new light in Badrinath-II

“During such times, look inside your eyes, you will see light. That light will come from me. Your mind is completely immersed in me in every sense and whenever you will remember me, you will see light. That light will give you the knowledge of Brahma which is very hard to achieve. The knowledge of Brahma is attained with the releasing of uncountable pious actions accumulated over many lives lived before this birth.

Brahma is Light. Brahma is spiritual wisdom. Brahma is Consciousness. Always keep the flame of that consciousness alive in you. Brahma is a cluster of Light, Prakash Punj. Brahma will always protect you. May that Brahma always keep your consciousness ablaze, have such a yearning this evening.”

Explanation

The progression and knowing of our soul is a tedious business and demands hard toil, exceptional patience and endurance. But the Great Masters are aware of it and for them it is never too late. They have been deployed by the Almighty Master, the Universal Spirit to lead us from our darkness to the Cosmic Light.

When the Teachers explain, illuminate us by citing various examples, we should embed those lessons with love and gratitude in our hearts. We must go back to those revelations and learning as many times as possible in order to etch them in our memory forever even if the learning or learning methods are very subtle and indirect. Make your memory so fine and sharp with regular meditation practice and mental repetitions that everything gets embedded easily always.

Conclusion- Have faith and limitless patience. Endure. Keep up with your regular sadhana, enjoy your meditations and mental chanting and open your heart to receive God’s beautiful and wondrous revelations lovingly.

Madurai, the temple city of Meenakshi Amman

#155

Madurai is a temple city about 2,500 years old in Tamil Nadu, India. It is famous for its Meenakshi  Amman temple and enchanting Jasmine flowers.

229

It is also called Meenakshi Sundereshwarar temple. It is dedicated to Mother Goddess Parvati, known also as Meeenakshi, the consort of Lord Shiva. Meenakshi means ‘fish-eyed,’ the one whose eyes are extremely beautiful in the shape of a fish. This is the only temple where the Goddess Meenakshi is the principal deity of the temple and not Shiva or Sundereshwarar although there is a temple of Shiva just next to that of Meenakshi Devi. Devotees from all parts of India and  other countries come to pay their obeisance and reverance to Mother Goddess.

It is a Shakti peeth, an energy centre. There are some special places like this one where the Divine infuses a great amount of spiritual energies so that people get some power to progress on their spiritual path and the long journey that it demands.

The most prominent structures of the temple are the Gopurams or towers which are visible from every part of the city wherever you go. They are exceptionally high and very beautifully decorated. They are painted brightly with figures of deities, gods, goddesses and semi gods. The city is based and thrives on river Vagai since a long time. There is a mini city inside the temple and people all over the year come in large numbers out of their devotion and love for the mother goddess. It is not at all possible to see the entire temple in just one day; it requires a few visits. This time, we concentrated on the outer side and left out the inner area comprising of a huge water tank. Photography is allowed in some inner parts and chambers and we obviosly could not resisit the idea of taking many pictures on our visits.

An overview of whatever little we could see in two days……

Before we go inside the main chamber, there is a wide corridor buzzing with various activities. Constant repairs and improvements were seen being undertaken by the temple authorities. People also take some rest in this place  to enable them to see the remaining of the temple premises. I was told by our driver that the entire temple premises is spread in 15 acres area! I don’t have the exact figure, it may be right also looking at the gigantic size of the structures everywhere.

Dear readers, with this short post and a photo gallery, we come to an end with the exhibition of pictures of the several pilgrimages that I made in the end of Dec’12 to South India. Hope you have enjoyed seeing them as much as I have taken delight in composing short posts and photo gallery with them.

Each visit to the holy place is a divine experience and so many new revelations are given by the Almighty and my Guru during those times. Sometimes there are inconveniences and lack of good food and hygeine, but it is overccomed and ignored. I share my experiences with you as posts and add pictures in the posts to collaborate what I have seen or realised. The pictures are most of the time used to convey many subtle things and so many times to say something visually instead of using words and sentences.

When you conjoin the words with the pictures, your canvas will become larger. That is the purpose served by my pictures. They are here to enhance your spiritual imagination, strengthen your visualization powers and in future use the powers of imagination and visualization to expand your Spiritual Consciousness……

P.S Pardon me if I have not been able to reply to your comments and emails in the last few days. Shall revert to you when blogging activities diminish. Some other things crop up and are equally important to attend to. But remember you are always on my mind and I will communicate with you shortly. You should always stay in touch.

Regards and thanks.

A quick visit to ancient site of South India- Mahabalipuram, today’s Mammalapuram

#154

Dear friends, this is a surprise post!

I had taken a long round of pilgrimages to South India in the month of Dec’12 between 13th and 18th. Blogging did not stop in those days in spite of travelling.

I also went to Madurai and KanyaKumari between 26th and 29th Dec’12.

Photos were shared with you of Pondicherry, Thanjuvar and Kanya Kumari. However, after that a lot of activities of the blog have kept me preoccupied since then. Today I showcase some of my Mammalapuram pictures, which was visited on our way back to Chennai from Pondicherry.

Pictures of Madurai are still pending and shall be shared with you soon.

Mammalapuram was not our pilgrimage site, it was rather from the perspective of seeing India’s glorious past and appreciate its culture, architecture and art. It is a World Heritage Site.

This place falls in between Pondicherry and Chennai and can be seen with four to five hours in hand.  We had less time than this yet we managed to see 5 Rathas and Arjuna’s penance site. The other sites were left out. If only we knew beforehand that we could  manage the Shore Temple also, we would never have missed it. But the driver was panicking and hurried us and bundled us to the airport as soon as he could in haste!

Anyhow, whatever was seen was breathtaking and marvelous. The Dravidian architecture carved out of hard rocks and granite are worth at least one visit if we are near Chennai or Pondicherry. The Pallava dynasty built it around 5th century. Mahabalipuram as it was called earlier, was once a prominent port of South India and it still reflects very strongly the dignified and prosperous past of rich Dravidian history of Southern part of India.

One suggestion for the would be travellers to this place. Please keep in mind when you visit this place that Mammalapuram is very sunny and hot all the year round. In summer the heat is blistering and can take its toll. So it is better to see this wonderful place during winter times between November and February or else take all precautions to beat the heat.

Steps back into history…..

Mammalapuram is still the best place for stone idols and carvings. Temples from far and wide in the world place orders for idols in this city. Stones of mainly black or gray color are used for making idols. There are so many good shops that exhibit local fine sculpting artistic skills. We stepped in a shop only to appreciate the craftsmanship and please the shopkeeper. We soon discovered that all the items in the shop were made by the father of the shopkeeper. Out of respect for the unknown face, we bought some superbly carved things.

His girls came back running from school after it got over to be with their mother. It was a very sweet sight to see the younger one, who was brimming over with love and happiness for her mother as she came storming in the shop to embrace her tightly.

I was very happy to see this momentous event and felt good that the girls were being sent to school for education for their better lives in future. The younger one was  irresistible and deserves a place on my blog to show us what ecstasy is. Her smile was truly infectious….

The procedure and progression of knowing our soul-I

#153

003

Introduction

My dear readers and friends, you are welcome back.

This portion of my write up Part- A is unplanned and spontaneous. Part B came earlier than this. I decided to make two parts of this post like many before, nonetheless in the end both the parts will be interrelated regarding what is being advocated in both. Part A has my interface with Shri Mahavatar Babaji and his advice to me regarding the new post, while Part B is what Swami Nityananda preached us by giving us a lot of wisdom and sagacious advice to everybody here.

Even so, Shri Mahavatar Babaji has given us many good tips.  He has addressed all his devotees and disciples alike spread globally. He has urged me to tell the slow walkers of this good path to walk faster now. They should pick up quickly by this time. Those who have kept their pace at medium speed should investigate why they are not taking quicker steps. Where is their mind engaged and what is it that makes them tread at a comfortable pace? And those aspirants who are marching fast on this path should ensure that they keep their mind focused and introverted and maintain their swift pace continuously. They should not allow their mind to be diffused or disoriented. Apart from these tips of great advice, there was a lot more that was given to me. I had a lengthy conversation two days back with the Spiritual adviser and most humble Guide, my Holy Grand Master Shri Mahavatar Babaji. Moreover, it also becomes obligatory for me to transmit, narrate those important facts as it concerns each of us. This is what transpired and emerged between us one blessed evening currently.

Part A

I had to catch up with sleep on 28th Jan so I slept in the day and I woke up in the evening at 5 p.m. with a very pleasant feeling. Even before I woke up fully and with my eyes still shut, I began having a long conversation with Shri Mahavatar Babaji with God’s grace. He keeps a vigil over me all the time like a sweet Divine Father and he waited till I was fully rested and refreshed enough to resume my blogging activities. The last many days were engaged in familial duties and I tried to finish as much as possible so that I could return to my writing table. I was a very sleepy and tired person and so I put aside everything and decided to gain some energy and vitality and be back quickly. Just before I fell in deep sleep around 3 in the afternoon, my mind was delving intensely in the making of the approaching post. I was thinking what should be the content of our next lesson, where do we go from here and what should the devotees do to make progress and march ahead. While I was contemplating on this matter, I felt some calmness and relaxation and inadvertently I fell in deep sleep smoothly. I don’t even know when. All the disturbing noises in my area died out and I slept peacefully for continuous two hours in bounteous bliss.

My unending love for awakening and enlightenment and undying love for my Divine father Babaji, supersedes everything. This is the first thing that occurred no sooner had I regained my wakefulness. I woke up very fresh, Shri Babaji was waiting for me. In a deep meditative state when I was awake, he spoke so promptly, “Do you recall what God told you some months ago about me?”

I instantly murmured sweetly like a babe, “Yes, I do. It was said more than on one occasion.”

“Then begin your post with that first. I have given you the highest spiritual knowledge. Your blog is placed highest in the web-world and all those people who are surfing and have come here incidentally can find all their answers. Everything is here.  I am dispensing all the wisdom through it. You are my medium.”

The conversation lasted more than an hour and that supplementary energy coming straight from a powerful source of my Guru made me more invigorated, placid and tranquil apart from that of sleep. The tiredness vanished somewhere as if it wasn’t ever there in the first place. There was a lot that came as helpful advice for each one of us out of which whatever can be imparted in one single post shall be given to you.

My dear ones, what was Babaji referring to? What God told me on some days about Shri Mahavatar Babaji?

Extract from ‘How to know our soul?’

“During the concentrated moments, God told me that Shri Babaji is one of the rare, brilliant gems among mankind for the reason that he is so close to God. When I inquired God what must be his state of mind most of the times as it is my desire to peep into it out of genuine curiosity and aspiration. The reply was that he is in godly ecstasy most of the times since he is so near to God.”

Dear blessed readers and devotees, I take so much joy in revealing to you what God has told me on more than a few occasions. God has appeared to me as effulgent, beautiful, shimmery rays of Light on at least three or four occasions and in explicit words just to emphasize the fact that in this whole creation which God has created, Babaji stands near Him, God.  This means first comes God understandably. After which God’s highest realizations and attributes and all elements are reflected maximum in the personage of Shri Mahavatar Babaji in our living, physical world!

In fact, when I was writing my first article on the personal features of Shri Babaji in 2008, ‘The Light of the world Shri Mahavatar Babaji-I, one day completely bemused and mystified to the hilt, with pure innocence I asked him abruptly, “Who are you, Babaji?”

He chuckled and declared with a bemusing, very gentle, soft and clear voice, “I am the CEO of this world!” I loved it, it was to my heart’s desire.

In a spate of swift moments, I immediately comprehended that he has all the Godly powers entrusted on him to run this entire Universe which he does with utmost humility and fairness. It took me many days to let this revelation sink in. I felt extremely blessed to have got an opportunity to know him, to be able to come so close to him. A divine blessing for me, surely.

Again when I was in contact with our beloved God as narrated earlier in ‘How to know our soul?’, I was informed that as Shri Mahavatar Babaji is so near to God, he is our Divine Father too, he is everybody’s Divine Father.

My dear everyone, please know that it is at the behest of the wish of God that we have this knowledge at this point of time with us and therefore so much revelation, so much exposure and disclosure. And because our dearest Babaji does not speak anything to us unless he is guided and prompted by the will of God, we must listen to him very attentively. We must think and ponder what is the reason for this disclosure and rendering at this time and juncture of this blog.

If you look back I have written in the last post right in the beginning that it is the concluding post on the topic of soul but as you can see here this post has become an extension of the same title and subject matter in spite of deciding to wrap up the series. As you all are coming back again on this blog to search, know and learn, there is an equivalent force behind you that is working without your knowledge. The power and presence of God and the divine souls are at work continuously. They are attentive and aware of our improvement, progress, and also personal needs. Looking at all this and keeping everyone’s capacities and requirements in mind carefully, an astute and perceptive decision has been taken by the omnipresent God which reflects directly in the words spoken by the Masters. At an auspicious moment, it was decided by the Almighty that hence forth, a shift has to be taken on the blog to a new, greater height and pinnacle.

A surge to progress and direct contact and union with God should be undertaken on the blog and so all the readers have to be assured and informed well in advance so that they are  pretty well prepared in every sense. From now onward, more light and information, discussion will take place regarding God, the almighty Power and Force instead of Shri Mahavatar Babaji. To make this more clear let me tell you that if you see carefully, you will come to know that Segments I, II & III were about the stages  of an advancing yogi. In between, the middle section revealed about the personal side of Shri Mahavatar Babaji which was so much welcome by us because so little is either known or written about him in the literary and spiritual world. Posts which have contents related to Banyan Trees and some sages, they all resonate the same objective. They  tell us that they feel so blessed and honored to be serving in some way for Mahavatar Babaji; they all feel extremely happy if our dearest Babaji accepts something from them, more so if it is some sort of service to others.

The truth is that some important aspects of Babaji’s personal life has been provided to me through some other agencies in nature also with the wish of God apart from my meditations. The reason is that Babaji does not like to talk too much about himself, in fact very little. On the contrary, he likes to speak through silence by which he provides us all the solutions and answers, although it may be a different matter that we are not yet so developed in mind to receive the intimations which are sent by him through his mind powers. He likes to meditate most of the time so that he can communicate with us in some method mentally like inspirations, telepathy, intuition or clairvoyance and clairaudience via the astral sky in the higher ranges of the atmosphere.

With the post -A foreword before we take a new turn into our future spiritual training on this website, if you remember we took a major shift by telling you formally that this blog is an internet class and is global in nature where spiritual lessons are imparted.

Please read again the very powerful post, ‘I get a new Life, a new Light in Badrinath-III’. I highlight this portion to emphasize that in Karna Prayag when I was meditating, Shri Mahavatar Babaji pronounced and propounded-

“God is an eternal force. That force is in you, recognize it. This Universe is his creation made of illusion, maya. Separate the maya from Ishwar God. God is infinite and so is his creation- endless. The supreme knowledge with which one knows God is also eternal shashwat. Attain that. Separate the perishable body with the eternal Brahma. You are Brahma. You are Eternal. Thou art That.”

This was preparing us for an elevation in future. Along with his and God’s words, we have been given tremendous amount of Force and Power to recharge ourselves to take a giant step from this particular post onward. And thereafter, we touched subtle topics of our Soul. All the columns and articles which were explaining the idea, concept or the fundamentals about our soul were delivered with some personal experiences and examples to make them easy to understand and believable. Those of you who have not read the previous portions need to peek into them soon to enable yourselves to grasp what we are heading for now onward.

From today another big Force has been added in this site by means of such dynamic revelations by God and Spiritual giants in the league of Shri Mahavatar Babaji and Shri Nityandanda Swami. My humble pranam and eternal gratitude to them. We will always be indebted to them in our lives to come.

After revealing who Babaji is in earlier so many posts, God does not want to reveal in excess about him. A lot has been disclosed about him on this medium called Spirit in life, and as most of his time is spent in relaying dynamic mental forces in meditative hours in day and night for world’s spiritual welfare, he prefers to remain in silence and seclusion.

As a result we now shift our focus from Babaji’s personal attributes to attributes of God. After having come to know so much about Shri Mahavatar Babaji, it should be easier to compare and be acquainted with the Highest Force which is often named God. As they both are so similar, we should not have a great difficulty in knowing the attributes of God that dwells everywhere- in us and in every particle in the Universe.

Dear friends, you will be delighted to know that some more messages have come to me in the blessed afternoon of 28th Jan while I rested to regain and gather my thoughts for this exquisite post, even if the post will get extended and drawn out.

Babaji whispered further, “Then begin your post with that first……Tell them that you are not a seeker anymore. You are a teacher here. In your spare time, you always tell me about all my disciples and the events on the blog. Not once have you felt that the achievements and success of your blog are yours. Your sense of surrender is very acute. You have been discussing the improvement, progress or regression of all the devotees and seekers who have come to you. You pray for them and ask for their deliverance. You have been taking all approvals from me and have acted upon only those ideas and programs which I have favoured because you rely wholly on my judicious actions and advice. I have given you telepathic powers so that the communication channel is firm and unbroken with God and me. Your deep sense of discipline, commitment and faith is what I expect from all the other aspiring devotees. If they too will keep their Master on top of everything, they too will surge ahead without any delay in their rapid spiritual development. If they can match the sterling quality of obedience which you possess, they will attain victory, glory and uncontainable joy in times to come.”

Part B

Swami Nityananda gave me darshan on 22nd Jan morning during meditation after a long hiatus. At the back of my mind, I was trying to solve something.  He gave me solutions to some of my personal matters and also blessed me with so much more divine knowledge of which he is so capable. I am of firm belief that it is to be shared with others on this platform for everybody’s use because it is my ‘prasad’.

Swami Nityananda threw a question at me so unexpectedly,

“What is the reason that it takes us so long to know our divinity and to unfold it, although it is already present since our inception?”

Translation, original words follow:

“Your weaknesses, flaws, frailties are the cause of your downfall. Flaws are deeds. Every deed has its consequences. The weight of the consequences has to be carried, and to do that time is needed. New births have to be taken in accordance to those deeds and in those new births, which is a capturing snare, the jeeva or individual soul falls into it.

The knowledge of Self releases us from our darkness. Darkness means vanishing of awareness, doing wrong actions and falling on the wrong path. Whenever we do actions of deceit, betrayal or selfishness, we are forbidden gradually from attaining the knowledge of our Spirit or Atma. This is because we have to bear the consequence of our own wrong actions and we bear them on our body and mind.

Those people, who in the name and guise of religion, dharma are not telling the whole Truth to others, will find their knowledge waning slowly.

And those people who are enjoying  good time in the name of religion or God is only because of some good deeds of earlier life. However, because of their wrong deeds of today, the previous lives’ good deeds will be washed away soon. And that’s why I too call Shri Mahavatar Babaji a Banyan Tree and the rest of today’s new age, modern Gurus are like changing weathers, withering seasonal flowers.

We should once and for all attain that knowledge which will annihilate all our ignorance so that we are able to understand a new world, a new life. Those who walk on the Right Path, God will sustain them and their path, and God will give all blessings and give full knowledge.

We must first attain wisdom, knowledge which is so difficult to attain, many lives are required to attain that knowledge. Just like with great efforts we make rose water with roses, so is the hard process of attaining the greatest wisdom.

Once we achieve the highest wisdom and knowledge, we must remain in that state and not err. We must live in that state for a few years after which we will stabilize in it and never come down.”

In his own words:

“Vikar girata hai. Vikar karam hota, karam ka phal hota hai. Karam phal bhogna padta hai, bhogne ke liye hame samay chahiye hota hai kyunki vaisa janam lena padega aur naye janam mei phir ek chakra chal padta hai.

Atma ka gyan humko hamare andhkar se chudata hai. Andhakar matlab chetna ka lupt hona, galat kaam karna and galat raah par padna. Jab jab hum dhokha, jhooth, daga karte hai, swaarth ke karma karte hai, tab tab hum apne aapko Atma gyan se dheere dheere  nishkasit kar dete hai kyunki jo humne vikar, galat kaam kiye hai uska phal hume bhogna padta hai aur use hum shareer aur mana se bhogte hai.

Jo log dharam ke naam par, uski dhal par logon ko pura sach nahi batate, unka gyan dheere  dheere lupt ho jata hai.

Aur jo woh  ab khushi,  aish paa rahe hai woh pichle janam ke achche karam hai, so mila hai. Lekin aajke galat kaam unki sari kamai ko saaf kardenge. Is liye maine Babaji ko Bargad ka Ped kaha aur aaj ke baki sadhuoko,  guruo ko, dharmik guruo ko passing show, aati jaati bahar kaha hai. Woh ek mausam ke phool hai.

Hume ek baar gyan aisa lena chahiye jo hamesha ke liye sari tabahi khatam kar de, nayi duniya, naya jeevan  ko samjhane ke liye. Jo nek raha par chalega, uske raaste ko, aur usko bhagwan banaye rakhega, usko bhagwan poora gyan dega, khoob ashish dega.

Pehle vivek, gyan prapta karna hai jo ke bahut kathin hai, isme bahut janam lagte hai. Jaise desi gulab mei se bahut mehnat se Gulab ka jal banta hai, aise hi kadi mehnat se gyan prarpt hota hai.

Gyan milene ke baad usmei bahut kaal tak rahena hai, koi galti nahi karni hai. Kuch saal usi avastha mei rahena hai, uske baad hum sthir ho jayenge aur kabhi bhi neeche nahi ayenge……..”

Om Guru Narayan Narayan Hari Hari; Guru Narayan Narayan Hari Hari; Guru Narayan Narayan Hari Hari…….

How to know our soul?

#152

This is the concluding post on the topic and theme about our soul. There were earlier posts which were connected with issues of why it is important to know our soul, and that our real identity is that of a soul and hence we should believe in that identity. But before I begin to go in the details of the next obvious question of how to know our soul, I will have to tell you one of the random, beautiful spiritual experiences that I had in the last fortnight.  I just noted it down for the sake of it in my diary because it was so wonderful. I think it will be useful here to tell you about it because it has a lot of grave information encompassed in it. The information provided here is not an ordinary one and it comes to us only as a grace of God sometimes if we are considered by God in some blessed moments. It is a knowledge that we should possesses so that we know who we are and also how we should be careful in what we are creating now in terms of actions that we perform day and night.  We will also understand that we are living in a Universe in which there is a Supreme Power and also there are  many unseen  crucial guidelines laid by it about which we have never known and do not get any opportunity to discover them anyhow. And as this is the wish of Shri Mahavatar Babaji that I should reveal those Truths, I am making it open for you to also know about them and in this way benefit your personal as well as spiritual life after realizing those Truths in your soulful moments.

And if you read the  paragraphs below, you will surely feel that discovering these Truths is so imperative and essential. There is nobody but the Divine Masters who have mercy on us and help us salvage our poor lives in order to make them enriched and most useful. The progression of our soul which is so hidden from us, from buried and sunken to the stage of its manifestation is carried out with the helping hand of the Divine Masters.

Part- A

Reflections

On 02.01.13 I was trying to be acquainted with the importance of Palani, my latest pilgrimage, in relation to my spiritual growth and how I am impacted by my recent visits to the places that I just toured. In the evening I fell into deep meditation unpredictably and during the concentrated moments, God told me that Shri Babaji is one of the very rare, brilliant gems amongst mankind for the reason that he is so close to God, extremely near. When I enquired God what must be his state of mind most of the times as it is my desire to peep into it out of genuine curiosity and aspiration. The reply was that he is in godly ecstasy most of the times since he is so near to God. As God was still speaking to me, I put up a spontaneous question.  And the question was-“At this moment God, you are speaking to me. Is it that you spoke to Babaji in the same manner as you are speaking to me just now, in a gentle, soft murmur? Is this how you connect  and come  to    us? You had said to Babaji long time ago in Badrinath, “Give me this body……..” as mentioned in ‘The state of Super Consiousness-II’ And has Babaji been living such a long life of penance and service to mankind since then, after listening to your very gentle, satin like Voice erupting from his heart, his soul? Did he make this critical decision relying on this Voice only?

Quoting from that post again to bring home the point.

Babaji again went back to tell me more about himself. He divulged about his tapas and intense spiritual practices done. “After the initiation of the highest level of Kriya, my body became unconquerable and invincible. My senses became extremely acute and I could no longer bear to hear the sound of clatter and any noisy words. Therefore I decided to meditate in a place where there would be no disturbing sounds and I headed for the Himalayas on foot. I found a cave in a place where there was no human soul and I meditated in freezing climate without any cloth over me to test my abilities. Once assured, I offered all my accomplishments to God and asked him to now let me exit the world at the age of just fourteen! God’s answer was, “Give me this body; I shall use it for a purpose that no one has done before. I shall accomplish with it that no one has accomplished before.” I only bowed in front of that Divine Light and uttered, “It is yours.”….

Returning to my reflections.

I  paused quickly at this point to think and wondered how such a faint Voice that erupts from within our soul is so crucial and life altering. How powerful this phenomenon is! Based on this Voice and trusting it blindly, Babaji had yielded everything wholeheartedly and has been living a life of a hermit reclusively in anonymity since eighteen centuries!! This goes on to say and proves that I should also appreciate the power of my soul’s Voice and depend on it without thinking twice. It is a reliable source of dependence and hence should be trusted fully.

After my interpretations and knowing, I have understood that the Voice of my soul  is extremely powerful and I should depend on it instinctively because it shows me the way and tells me what to do. It gives me clarity, wisdom to understand things rightly and after knowing everything without any doubt, I also act judiciously.

My assumptions go on to show that this silent Voice that is in me appears unannounced and converses with me when it wishes to do so. It comes with a definite purpose and vanishes amusingly back to its source as it had emerged impromptu.  At its arrival, it opens the gates of the vast secrets of the unknown sacred cosmic principles!! I am ecstatic and I pour out my passion, secretly hidden emotions and all my unending curiosity at its altar humbly and thankfully!! I want to know and know more. More so because I can tap my resilient source of infinite information and wisdom that explores the concealed and shrouded laws for humanity laid down by God Himself. When the Cosmic Father replies to my queries and irrepressible search for Truth, I am humbled, satiated as well as immensely gratified.

Knowing the Truth with the Divine Father is a very wonderful experience, it is extraordinary…… It is explosive because it fires my imagination and I begin to soar higher. I ascend to the higher realms where the saints and sages rest in interim periods between two lives. I wish and long to stay there as long as I can do. However, the truth remains that the stay is quite short yet the results dynamic and that is why I just said that knowing the Truth is explosive. Even if the stay in the celestial world could be a very short one, the results are going to be very dynamic. Knowing the Truth is an overwhelming experience in itself   and it should be tried sincerely by all of us. It should be taken up seriously!

Part-B

How to know our soul?

We can only know our soul when we have already accumulated and earned an extremely large numbers of virtuous and pious karmas which take many lives. Some of the actions in this large reservoir would be what you do out of your own good intentions and good nature  naturally and the rest would be as per the guided instructions of the Divine Master given by mere grace from time to time.

What should we not do to know our soul?

Secondly my soul also got to know during my reflections that there are-

Four very serious prohibited karmas. They are-

  • Betrayal by children towards their parents and likewise by  parents towards their children
  • Abandoning of sick persons, more so of our father and mother
  • Misusing Dharma and Spirituality for selfish ends
  • Deceiving our spouse

What should we do to know our soul?

  • Sadhana – they are the daily spirtual practices that an aspirant does in order to make his life more spiritual and pure and pious.
  • Tapasya- done by advanced yogis at the behest of their gurus to attain higher goals. It is decided and depends on the yogi’s  destiny, the capacity of the yogi, and the  guru’s will.
  • Meditation- to cleanse our mind. Concentration of mind to dissuade it from losing its focus and purity of intention.

Knowing the soul stops us from doing prohibited karmas and hence the illumination of the soul is the guideline with which we attain the pure spiritual state of mind. After knowing the soul, the jeeva or individual soul liberates itself from falling in the web of unending suffering caused by itself by performing those unwanted actions.

(Because of shortage of time, I have not been able to do full justice to this post. In the coming days, some additions will be made if necessary)

Why is it important to know our soul?-II

#151

IMG_1625 - Closeup

Introduction

Spirit In Life blog is for those who are desirous of gaining right spiritual knowledge and seeking moksha or liberation in modern age from the bondage and slavery of the results of past deeds and actions effected in many past lives by one’s soul.

The source and origination of the sacred liberating knowledge has to be from an erudite and wise soul who has himself/herself experienced all the metaphysical aspects related to the whole process of the liberation of the bonded soul. It takes years and innumerable lives to perfect the soul. Until the knotted and tangled soul untangles itself from its own catching and web mire , it is never possible to experience the Truth about God!

The background

From ‘Thanjuvar, panorama of Brihadeeshwar temple’.

“This much for the back ground of the temple. However, there had to be a larger cause to visit this extraordinary place, one of the oldest Shiva temples in India. Shri Mahavatar Babaji tells me that as a special gesture and out of kind-heartedness towards his devotee, he sent me to this holy place so that the sins of our lineage would be cleansed and peace would return to some of our forefathers who are in a turmoil even now in some other world because of their past misgivings”…..I am speechless at the volume and intensity of graciousness showered at us by the holiest and most sacred Guru, Shri Babaji. I prostrate before him humbly and thank him abundantly for being so kind to our past generations whom I don’t even know, yet have made a contact in my meditations and in return earned their profuse blessings……. This one is dedicated to Lord Shiva for relieving the pain of so many unknown faces and giving them deep peace after ages of turmoil……! May God give all of us peace and more lasting peace, where ever we are”…….!!

The Question “Thanks for blessing us all with photos of one of the oldest Shiva temples of India. And it is so wonderful to know our beloved Babaji’s purpose to send you there! How kind, caring and loving he is! And how sacred that temple is! Can u please tell in detail, how the divine vibes of such place works for our forefathers in cleansing their sins and getting peace?”

The explanation  Our mind, manas  perceives God.

On the other hand, when this mind gets attracted and induced in the illusion, Maya of God, the soul remains enmeshed in that attraction for many, many lives. It is for this reason that the mind cannot perceive God. With holy company, concentration, meditation and one- pointedness, the mind has to be brought back in focus and made concentrated. The objective of the sadhana or spiritual efforts is this very reason. And to attain success in this endeavour is involved many lives, only after which the mind becomes perfectly ready for God realization. God is perceived and seen in the temple of the  mind.

However, prior to this stage, the mind drifts pointlessly to the extent of being senseless and performs serious misgivings and wrongdoings. The net result is that the forthcoming lives are hard, harsh, filled with all types of sorrows and problems. Happiness eludes and peace dodges the man all the time. Real happiness is never easy to attain.

To attain Moksha or liberation means that we should perform noble, glorious and sacred deeds consciously now and the leftover negative deeds should be nullified with grace, patience and being sombre. This amounts to suggest that we shall allow the leftover deeds or sanchit karmas to manifest and appear with consent, endurance and grace. We are good at facing the positive responses of the positive past deeds but tackling unsavoury and disagreeable ones is not everyone’s cup of tea! And it is during such times, most of the people are prone to recreate some more erroneous, sweet and sour actions, whatever type they may be. But we must not do this. We should anyhow clear our past baggage and debt with practical wisdom, grace and patience.

In some specific life when we have acute realizations, we wish to start all over again and we begin afresh. For this we require spiritual guidance which only a realized Master can provide since he is the one who can look into your past and present lives both. The Master  will impart divine instructions as per your devotion and dedication from time to time, which you must follow sincerely. When you do this, the old script is erased and gradually a new script is inscribed and emblazoned. This demands your extreme patience and testing endurance. At its completion as a final point, we get repose and peacefulness. We also obtain great moments of divine ecstasy and resounding peace. God rewards us and blesses us with his own wonderful secrets’ insights! That is why it is important to know our soul.

Conclusion If we do not turn our lives and steer it in a new direction, the soul wanders and strays in various places by reincarnating in those places and connects with sometimes good and sometimes bad souls.   In this process, the soul wanders off and lives indiscriminately for thousands and multiple of thousand years. To stop this senseless meandering and long-winded journey, it is quintessential to know our soul.

Now let’s return to the question why I was sent to Thanjuvar by Shri Babaji as asked by one reader of lately.

Part-I  The reply is that when you clear all your old and long-drawn-out debts called the sanchit karmas with patience and endurance, in the end what remains inside you is only love, compassion and mercy. Your prayers express and ask for only salvation and peace for everybody. God listens to your invocations and you do those deeds by which the people around you are relieved of their miseries, agonies and woes. Sometimes, there are chronic family and personal problems which refuse to extinguish and the problems overwhelm you. Not only this, the chronic problems stand as hindrances and the cause is unknown. In such a peculiar situation, what happens is that this shadow which is cast over your life has its source in the other world where our forefathers are residing temporarily. If they had exploited others or inflicted people or  subjugated the weaker sections or any such serious negatives when they were alive, they are at this time suffering mentally in the next world as a punishment from God. They are in a prison. Their collective karmas affect you even now, more so if the living generations are not living a life of Dharma or righteousness. Just a few have an inclination out of so many to lead a moral and righteous life; most of the people in all families live an average or very mundane life. We are influenced by the collective karmas of the present family and the generations of the past even now, to a large extent although we may be unaware.

If the negative strength coming from that source  is quite awesome, the Guru intervenes mercifully in some rare cases. To protect his disciple from the negative effects of the previous negative deeds of their generations gone by, the dark shadow is removed masterfully.  The Master wants his subdued disciples to earn more good karmas as a prize and reward for their unselfishness and boundless love for their own Guru in order to make their future more happy and prosperous. The Guru also has compassion for the dead, crying souls and makes sure their agonies are relieved and therefore the disciple is asked to perform highly meritorious deeds in some specific places. With those good intentions, if the pilgrimage is made, the results are far more than one can imagine. Not only is the disciple blessed by the previous generations and the hindrances removed, the dead souls in this whole process are absolved of many sins because the noble deeds of the disciple bring them a sense of freedom, restfulness and redemption. The disciple thereafter has more smoothness, calmness and abundance in every sphere of life. And all this is only possible when the Teacher and the student both are totally one with the will of God!

Part II of the question

Can you please tell in detail, how the divine vibes of such place works for our forefathers in cleansing their sins and getting peace?

There are many holy places on this Earth, more so in India for being so ancient in age that were built with the will of God. They all have a purpose of which we are not aware. People go to temples if they have a problem or if they wish for a child or want a lot of  wealth and even power. But God has a different theory in establishing holy places. Many holy places in India were built with specific role to play in our lives. Mostly Shiva temples were made to dissolve the evil karmas or sins of mankind as Shiva is the destroyer. The Shiva Linga is the pyramid in which divine energies keep entering from time to time from the sacred source of God.

When we go in the inner sanctums, the work of purification begins at the holy site. The  bad energy from our bodies and minds are burnt, dissolves and rises up to the shikhar or the dome of the holy structure. From there the burnt energies are disseminated in the atmosphere and erazed. We also absorb some good energies which turn into good thoughts and later into good karmas at some stage in the exchange. Hence we have the potential of doing good things some time in future.

The silent work of God is always on in this manner in the subtle world so as to free us from the negative influences generated by us at some point of time. If this is not done, the Earth will be overloaded with so much negativity that we will not be able to live here. Our materialistic wishes that we believe are fulfilled in the temples occur and materialize only if some pending good karmas in us are due to materialize! But as God is very charitable and generous, He still obligates our desires so that we have faith in God and one day will turn to God and say that I have had enough of your small gifts and toys, now I want You! After this the aim of going to temples and other holy places is for a higher, sometime very high purposes. They are meant for only spiritual obligations and holy intentions.

The divine vibrations emanating at this Shiva temple burnt the looming depression, mental torture and affliction in the astral world where the souls of those dead people are at present residing. They in turn got rid of their sad mental state because the Master and the disciple with the consent of God, carried out some specific deeds that would fulfill those aims- that of mass healing of the collective karmas of those people belonging to our previous generations. Such is the power of the worshipped places which were made by the wish and consent of God!

My dear ones, hope you have now understood the reason for  which the recent pilgrimage was made. I am sure you will be delighted to understand the  theory of the  unknown science behind the rituals of our religion performed at holy places. Behind every religious ritual is a sacred science about which the ancient man had knowledge and today we follow blindly for the sake of material goals!!

The state of Super Consciousness-II. This article is partly on pitra dosha or the ill effects on our current lives caused by the forefathers. It is important to remove the unknown negative effects and thus hastening our spiritual progress in a seeker’s life.

So what should we do? Remember God. Recall God. By remembering God the mind becomes pure.

How? The mind is a spark of God or Parmatma  in us. It is covered  with unseen  darkness and ambiguity which comes from the absence of knowledge of God’s presence in us. In fact, every living being in this Universe has a spark of God embedded in it. We do not know this yet.

When we remember God with pure devotion with or without any spiritual technique, the spark in us gets connected with the limitless white Light of the Omnipresence Power and we begin to see things in the right Light as it should be. By doing so, we are at peace and in calmness. Karmas or deeds originating from such a state of Consciousness lead us to do noble acts which are in favour of all. As the soul is devoid of any negative qualities and full of compassion and selfless love, the fruits of such acts are abundantly rewarded as per the laws of the Universal Spirit. The soul experiences freedom, unalloyed joy and no slavery of any type. Good actions bring with them true happiness, ananda and unexplored and limitless love from God to us!! This is liberation or Moksha in real sense!

Evidence

Our soul is omnipresent. It is connected with other souls in the Universe by our mind, which is a streak of God.

When I was heading towards Kanya Kumari from Madurai on 28.12.12 afternoon, on a highway I caught a fleeting sight which grabbed my attention. For the first time I saw a Banyan Tree without any obstructions covering it in a vast agriculture field. I have been in search for a clear photo of a Banyan tree for a very long time for  future reference for the purpose of using it in a book when the blog will be published.

Nobody knew about  this undisclosed thought. So when we were returning to Madurai on 29.12.12 morning, I requested the driver to stop at the same place where I had spotted this catchy tree. The driver slowed down the car in anticipation for it to be visible quite early to avoid missing it. As we slowed down, I heard my soul’s voice in between the search activity. It told me that Shri Mahavatar Babaji knew it for a long time that  I have been persistently searching and finding a Banyan tree which would be totally free from any other structure or other trees overcasting it.   I wanted to take its pictures. Shri Babaji informed the soul of this tree well in advance that I would be coming to Kanya Kumari one day and that  I should be given its pictures for my future needs.

The Banyan Tree told me  that similarly he too was waiting for me to arrive at that spot  and it was his privilege to serve Shri Mahavatar Babaji. His was a soul of a rishi or sage who wanted to serve God and mankind by becoming a Banyan Tree which is blessed with longevity. The more the duration of its life span, the longer it would be able to serve God. I believed in him because Shri Mahavatar Babaji is very capable of working on the Super Consciousness level through his mind power and this time I was not at all surprised. Rather, I quickly got down from the car, walked in the field half way and took some good shots of my favourite Banyan Tree for my blog and blog-book in spite of limited time available.

I end this post at this blessed and sacred moment by dedicating it to this phenomenal Banyan Tree whose soul is so kind and gracious and has been serving Mother Earth and God anonymously for more than 200 years. My humble prostrations to Shri Mahavatar Babaji and the Banyan Tree for its co-operation and also imparting us such useful insights of  unseen and unknown deeper realms of our Universe.

Excerpts from a Fb post of 20.05.20 given below. The is Maharishi Loma.

(1)

You will dazzle the world with your unique write-ups based on unknown Seers of ancient times like me and others who have shunned the world because there is infinite inner peace.

Your mind is impeccable, your stability incredible, focus steely, honesty brutal, compassion infinite, search for knowledge incalculable, energy inexhaustible, love for God unheard.

Therefore, God chose you as our messenger in modern times to revive the foremost spiritual path of God Realization made for man by God named ‘Jyoti Marg’, the Path of God’s Light.

You will be remembered in the world as a woman who crossed all boundaries of worldly, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual frontiers to reach out the furthest residing Sages.

You have earned the blessings of all the primitive, long forgotten Sages who lived in India and did intense penance to find God in pursuit of Self Realization of the highest order.

You must tell the world about us, about our lives, our penance, our fortes, our hard-found knowledge of God’s hidden laws and great performances.

I bless you my dear child for doing the penance in this wicked world and sacrificing everything that you have to spread our words of ancient, untainted wisdom for deserving people.”
